The best version of this game. The Amiga, Atari ST & Sega Master System were utter rubbish compared to the CPC one. Thanks for bringing back memories like that.
This isn't the version I had - the version I had ran s-l-o-w-l-y, had no music and was so easy I beat it on my first attempt. That was £2.99 well spent...
Had they taken the CPC "Renegade" graphics and transplanted them into this game (with the appropriate changes) this could have been awesome. Still - this is impressive stuff for the time, AND IT SCROLLS SMOOTH TOO!!!
looks like the best home computer version. based on the computers potential, the amiga and st versions pale in comparasin. this is just like a lower resolution arcade version compared to the other re-works that are awfull games
That looks surprisingly good. Especially considering the unmitigated dreck that was both C64 versions. It would be nice if the conveyor belt moved a bit (or Billy's legs, when he's holding a box), but we can't have everything... Thanks for posting. :)

This is the greatest DD home computer conversion. At the time, I probably would've traded my C64 for an Amstrad if someone had offered. :)

Richard Aplin was definitely one of the best Amstrad programmers out there, his version of Shinobi was awesome too.
Was this 128k version ever actually commercially released? I've been searching Ebay and all the available copies are the crappy version.

@jesusarnold do you know what was the evolution of the carrier of Richard Aplin and Rafael Cecco?

I own the other version.
I think the this one looks worse but at least this one isn't insanely slow, also this appears to be slightly challenging.
