"He is talking about issues and policy changes critical to the future of America and the world as we know it. Hope for us all!....I guess you want the new american language to arabic
The cost of the empire, of the dozens of US bases around the world and US troops across the globe, of forcing 'democracy' on other cultures by violent occupation, is immeasurable. Ron Paul understands that the collapse of the American economy or the continued aggression towards other nations that do not serve "our" interests will have a major impact on our way of life, and even on the lives of other in the world. Wake up, buddy.
Oh Im wide awake! we dont force our way of life on anyone we occupy no country except our own when are YOU going to wake up and understand that our military is what keeps this country and "HELPS" keep our allies safe and free from dictatorships like saddam hussein or would you rather have to learn how to speak arabic or russian and how well do you enjoy your freedoms to speak the borderline treasonous crap you have the freedom to do here
Wrong again. If you learned to READ, you'd know that we've been occupying places in the middle east since the 50s and that we have propped up dictators in the region and helped overthrow democratically elected governments to serve our interests. We actually supported and gave weapons to Sadaam Hussein when we were opposing Iran. The only reason Sadaam was removed is because he threatened to only take Euro for oil and not US Dollars, oil is the only thing propping up our worthless paper money.
The Iraqi government was never a democracy that was overthrown with help from the US. It has always been a place where a dictator took over by force (as far as their elections went, they were "token" and rigged with threats of force before and since Saddam) The Parliament there has always been hollow and impotent....
Sure we didn't make Iraq a better place back then, but another tyrant would've just occupied his space anyhow.
Iraq is a young country, with no central government until 1932, when Britain granted independence to the country. Several regimes ruled the country, until Sadaam came to power in 1979. He ruled in the Iraq-Iran war, ending in a stalemate due to American and Western support for Iraq (and SADAAM). This was of course following the 1953 American overthrowing of Iran's democratically elected popular leader Mossadegh, replacing him with the tyrannical Shah.
who kept the country in poverty while he grew wealthy from his western loyalties. This lead to the revolution and the taking of American hostages. This was not the last time American forces would remove a leader elected by the people or install a dictator, largely because the dictators were willing to sell us oil at a lower rate that the people wanted to, since they got nothing for the export of their country's natural resources
Unfourtanately, despite what the people of the US were told, this was never about "spreading freedom", but rather supporting Tyrants or Monarchies (think Saudi Arabia, where the Royal Family is one of the richest organizations in the world, the #1 exporter of oil, our #1 ally in the Middle East, yet this is where Osama bin Laden came from, as well as 15 of the 19 9-11 hijackers) that were willing to allow us access to the oil without properly compensating the people.
that looks amazing.
I support Ron Paul because I have a choice.
