I'm not all that proud of alot of Lib politicians either.. they can be sleazy to, but i just dont get supporting these concepts.

@SkepticHeathen yes, but the Repubs are EXPERTS in exploitation of fears of the populace. The Southern Strategy, Reagan on "States Rights", Geo II's big stop at then dating-segregated Bob Jones U, 911 and it's "Saddam 911, Saddam 911, Saddam 911...oh we never SAID Saddam was behind 911, we just ALWAYS mentioned them together crap", the politicizing of a colonial foreign policy, Condi and her mushroom cloud.....The Dems/Libs are boring people with policy, Reps are scaring up votes, literally

@BeauJames59 slight disagreement. What the republican party does is (1) they scare their politicians shitless so that they HAVE to vote along with the party or the repubs will fund the opposition in the next election; and (2) they exploit the inability of the populace to gather correct information. Not fears, stupidity. They make claims and rely on the prediction that most people will not realize that what they are saying is false ie, won't fact check

@johns375 I think the business of not being able to wait for a mushroom cloud to see if Iraq was this great military might to be feared and the selling of the war based on WMD was pretty much fear, not stupidity. The Boxer- Rice exchange for Condi's hearings will go down in history......
