  • geez...besides bowie do you think maybe richard butler of psyche furs was listening to these guys.....hnnn..i think yes.........together with howard devoto and magazine , ultravox, first line-up, were the best of the bands to come from the post-punk era....inho, of course....i like wire and gaang of four too!

  • Foxx ..... Lyrical genuis!

  • Definitely @mortegi ...! The verse is like Subterranean Homesick Blues (Or whatever the title by Dylan and one that REM ..paid hommage to in THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT......Speaking of age as you were... me being close enough in age to you......... had to discover that Dylan classic at an archeological site ;)

  • Dead Kennedy's anyone?

  • @TheDrkrayne i hope you're implying dead kennedys are the immitators here

  • 120% british

  • I'm 47 and remember buying this album when it first came out....brings back so many memories of Saturday nights.......!!!

  • I'm french, 17, and loving it! Long live rock'n'roll!

  • Does anybody know if this album was legally available on 8 Track Stereo Cartridge Tape?

  • saw them live donkey's years ago - I have a feeling that not only did they have a harmonica, they also had an electric fiddle. One of the best live bands I have ever seen

  • best ultravox! song !

  • Song of Ultravox ?

    Unbelievable !

  • Probably the best song they ever did. They sure got po later on, din't they ? Satday Night !

  • i'm 49 and remember listening to this in college everyday... great album!!!!

  • hey this is very queer stupid i cant see ur video of dangerous rhythm of ultravox that very bad

    = (

why a lot of content is block here??? i hate f**** companies

  • Haven't heard this in over 30 years. Thanks!

  • Rare appearence of a harmonica in a ' punk rock ' number.

  • ultravox! and ultravox had different singers, hence having a different sound and losing the " ! ". hard to compare the awesome sound of '77 punk and darkwave/synthpop sound. They are both good but Ultravox! wins hands down!

  • ultravox foxx - ultravox ure 3-0

  • Its seems that having listened to albums prior to Vienna, I would be greatly dissapointed if expecting a similar sound to their later hits. I'll always be on the other side of the fence with Midge Ure and songs like "Vienna" & "Dancing with tears in my Eyes."

The sound is so different they should be known as different bands.

  • First track on Side A of a GREAT ALBUM! GREAT RECORD SLEEVE (concept by Dennis Leigh (alias John Foxx), great production, etc. etc.

  • great song. great band (Foxx and Midge)

  • supermassive!

  • robodoll, Eno just produced. He did not say a word about compositions, probably he was not in the studio when they recorded...as a matter of fact you can find the PUNK writing on the sleeve of the first two albums, because of the indifference of the people for their music, they tried to attract fans whith that writing.

    This is my impression.

  • I heard this band when I was living in Mexico during the 80,s . their music is really great,, I cant put in words what they really mean to me in matters of music

  • I am 21 and this is the first time I hear it, its just AWESOME

  • check out their first 3 albums. you won't be disappointed!

  • I still LOVE this track.... yes Im 44 an old git.... but you cant beat quality tunes. ULTRAVOX! (note the ! ) are just so individual.

  • didn't Brian Eno have a hand in this album?

  • @mortegi There are many younger ppl that love em. Ultravox! are timeless.

  • @mortegi I'm older than you- John Foxx was a bl***y genius squared

  • awedinreh!

  • So british, so good!

  • amen

  • Hearing these great old songs that you have posted is a joy to my ears.

The old familiar Album covers and the wonderful songs are bringing back a flood of great memories.

    Thanks!

  • Great album!

    and great record sleeeve!
