Sorry, I'm not too sure since this is an audio swap of the original. The artist is linked in the side though, "NATOarts." Maybe their page will help you out.
lolol I'm two years older than you for starters, so no calling me "kid" please. And yes I know this picture isn't all that outstanding, I drew it in 2007 to test a new video recording software I downloaded. Not only have I gotten better since then, but I also was better when I drew this. But thanks for your oh-so-constructive criticism anyhow.
i think its nice:) i make my own comics and im bored to draw everything on paper then put it to my computer, just wondering if these "palets" works well? thought of getting one but never tried it ;)
unless youtube quality just tricked me i highly suggest that you use a program that the lines and stuff are factor based not pixel based it makes drawings look so much better, but great drawing anyway XD
lol ok then, one more suggestion, post a screenshot for a couple seconds at the end of the finished drawing that will cut out the crap youtube video quality and show just how awsome your art is =P
When I made that video I only had the tablet for about a year, but I've now been a tablet user for three years. I have a Graphire 4, which has now been replaced with the Wacom Bamboo.
It definitely takes some time to get used to, and they don't give you some magical drawing talent, but they're a great help in creating digital art. It might even be enough to motivate you to become a better artist !
do you know any good tablets between $100-$150 because i've been doing ink drawings for about a year now and i think i might want to step it up a little, and go for a tablet
Let her know that the tablet is cheaper, AND has more functionality for the artistic types (pressure sensitivity and such). Hopefully she's an artist.
Thank you :d i'll be buying this soon i think! how much did you pay for it by the way? and do you think it would be worth paying the extra for the a5 or a4 version/size?
I have flash, but since I don't have a tab and I'm not very good at drawing with a mouse, I mostly use sprites. But this is good man! I wanna learn to add shadings correctly. You should give tutorials and shit. I don't know why but you look like the type of person that can give tutorials well.
Well, I'm using a tablet with pressure sensitivity (hence, the name "Tablet Demonstration". If you enable Flash (or Photoshop, or Painter, or whatever other app you're using) to use pressure sensitivity in combination with a tablet, you can change the size of the brush as you draw a stroke.
Ugh...I wish I can draw like that. >.< It's like you dished it out of your ear or something with ease. It's just that the shadows for her face was kind of dark. That's okay for me though; it's still pretty.
Do you think that I'll have problem drawing on a 4x5 tablet with a widescreen monitor? Just wondering.
Well, my tablet isn't wide screen, but it works just fine on my iMac (which has a wide screen resolution). The fact that it's small shouldn't be a problem either, since the tablet's active area will scale to the screen.
Intuos is a great tablet. Mine's from 2004, so trust me, it's not that old. Tablets can be useful for stuff other than drawing, too! For example, I find them handy on certain flash games. :p
Wacoms are the best brand for tablets. Most tablet PCs actually use Wacom technology, but it also depends on what the tablet PC can do. Generally, you use a tablet PC's functionality for operating the machine, rather than drawing and such. Also, a tablet PC should have pressure sensitivity to be the most effective.
Lol, I agree with you. The first one was actually just for fun -- I was drawing something quick to show my friend how it worked. This one was the real deal. I didn't use paint, but Flash, and I worked most of the functionality through pressure sensitivity and colouring.
you're welcome. i love your art, and i know the tablet doesn't have to do with the quality of shadng, just using a mouse has become very tiring to my wrist and the tablet seems more precise. thank you! ^^
Yes, you are exactly right. I definitely recommend a tablet of any kind to improve your drawing ability on the computer. And thank you for your comment about my art. :)
You know, it's all about practice. As you probably expected, the shading skills have nothing to do with the tablet. My tip for you would be to pick a direction the light source is coming from, then make all your darker colors appear on the opposite side. :) Thanks for the comment.

I have an intuos wacom tablet.

I can't draw worth a bootstrap, even on my tablet, so I guess I can stick to doodling.

If just less than $100.00 is in your budget, you could pick up a nice Graphire 4 x 5 inch. I really encourage anyone to get one, they're great.
Teemyster 5 years ago
thanks! they look like a good buy
though I really have no idea what the difference between a graphire and a intuos is except the price :S lol
HeilHendo 5 years ago
I believe that the Intuos contains several hot key functions and touch strips, so it is more useful for professionals.

iXheartXnaruto 5 years ago
You know, it's all about practice. As you probably expected, the shading skills have nothing to do with the tablet. My tip for you would be to pick a direction the light source is coming from, then make all your darker colors appear on the opposite side. :) Thanks for the comment.
