If you want to make it easier on yourself you can go back to the undead asylum. When you get there you can get an item called a Rusty Iron Ring. It makes it so you don't slow down in the swamps. Careful there is a beast boy there.

Kill the leeches they leave green stones, use those green stones to upgrade your katana. also there is invisible wall in the hallow trees and alot of crystal lizards, if you kill the lizard and end the game the lizard will come again and you can seriously get some bad ass stones. upgrade all your weapons and armor lots of leech farming and you will get stronger
You should agro an enemy so they come for you, one by one. Then let them attack and instead of blocking just move back slightly out of their range then hit once or twice max, that way you wont ever get hit. You always get hit because you go in first, this isnt a hack n slash, its a 3D RPG, its meant to be turned based, u let them have their turn then when they MISS their attack u strike the repeat.
Also you have missed sooooo many paths in this game simply because you dont take the time to look. You could be stood a certain way and miss a path to your right simply because you didnt move your camera around. Every nook and cranny needs to be explored. Roll into barrels, dont fight in confined spaces, and stop attacking first!!
The developers put everything in this game for a reason, each single stat comes in hand once you understand it, there is not a single item or thing in this game that has no use. For example if you upgraded a simple scimitar u can use quelaags soul to eventually make an awesome fire sword. Just be more patient and learn your inventory and summon people! You need to reverse hollow first then wait for signs by bonfire, takes a while.
Ghost you need to check your inventory properly. You dont read stuff and seem to skip over it. On each item press x and see what it actually does, take your time to understand what each thing does, whether a weapon, armour, item, anything. If you were human and waited by a bonfire u could summon a player to help, u just reverse hollow and wait wait wait.......
ghostrobo if u have heaps of arrows climb up the stairs where she came chaos witch came from To the left of them is a small walkway that goes up stand in there and shoot her to death making sure to shoot her human half, this helps alot
My best tip is to start a new character, then use it for learning. Everything you already have done will seem so much easier!! Also read on the wikis. When you reach places use _1_ humanity and find a _golden_ sign. Invite this player to private chat, because he probably knows the game _well_. The way to learn this game is from other players, so you just do that! Don't give up! :) Good luck!
Also, you should experiment with two-handing when you go in to attack on bosses and other big enemies, and switching back before you run out of stamina so you can block. The nature of the stamina gauge makes it difficult to go blow for blow since blocking takes stamina, too. Other than that, just get some Humanity so you can summon some help for the big fight!
And don't worry about the haters. The only reason you should stop a game is if you're not having fun, personal stuff aside. Lataz!!!
Hey, dude. I just wanted to leave some props for sticking with Dark Souls as long as you have!
As for your game, I suggest leaving Blighttown and exploring other parts of the world, because that's where a lot of the enjoyment comes from in this game. Definitely get some more moss clumps for later! But once you get back to Quelaag you'll need a shield with good fire defense, if you can find one. And stay locked on.

Dude I know you're new to this but you should have noticed by now that the you CANNOT avoid getting poisoned AND that the rate that your health degrades is VERY SLOW! You even said it yourself "...Somehow I'm not losing health..."
So stop using up the moss until you're sure that you won't go back into the swamp for a while! Otherwise suck it up, it's only a little poison!
When you turn the game off - doesn't matter where you are or what you were doing - the game will respawn you exactly where you were before you turned it off. Even if you're in the middle of a boss fight. It saves EVERYTHING and loads it again despite your characters circumstances.
Keep your shield up, lock on, while moving sideways. When she vomits the lava, hit her on the side or back, avoid getting caught into the lava, do not get surrounded by lava, if ur getting surrounded move away from there. When attacking her watch out for the explosion by paying attention to her animation. Ok, this should help u continue the series, i've done my part.
Again do not waste healing yourself soon as u get poisoned, it takes a very long time to kill u if your health is full. Kindle the bonfire so u have 10 flasks. Go to your far right to reach the platform where quelag is that way the giants wont attack u. Dont worry about getting poisoned, once ur in front of the gate u can heal or wait for the poison to wear off, then drink a flask.
U can beat that spider witch.All u need to do is avoid her shockwave.She will rise her body up and smash on the ground.That's the only thing can make lots of damage.
But first , U shouldn't come to blight town before u gets two rings.One is Poisonbite Ring and another one is rusted iron ring.U can buy poisonbite ring from the guy whose under the bell u rang.Rusted iron ring is at the Undead Asylum.With these rings .........U don't need mosses.
Lol blightown, where they give up. This level is actually quite easy, instead of wasting your purple mosses just run through the swap, avoid the giant by going to your far right then go fight the boss. The poison wont kill u, u dont need to heal, u can even stand in front of the boss gate and wait for it to wear off then drink a flask. You pretty much passed the annoying part of blightown this is the easy part. Shame to give up, really.
When fighting quelaag just stay to her rear, avoid walking into lava, and watch for when she either leans back looking up or raises her legs in the sky and back away while blocking. you can get to her just hugging the wall to the right without incident and poisons just a annoyance not really important.
that bridge to the right of you takes you back to firelink shrine if you cross the valley, just run past everyone and keep going up after you beat Spider girl. Then you can go to Sens Fortress.

Running around as a human around this area will get you invaded by an NPC that, once defeated, you can summon her in too. If you're struggling to find humanity, there's a twin humanity in a chest behind a illusionary wall up a tree root. Leave the bonfire, go left and keep going until you find the ramp
I got this game 1 day ago and I've already beaten it...this guy has been dragging it on for so long, if he played every day for only an hour he would have beaten it like 40 times over lol.
ghost leave the bonfire as human and turn right pretty soon and npc black phantom will spawn if u kill it you get a weapon that scales well with strength as well as being able to summon her to help fight quelaag

Hey Ghost, I know Quelaags face is ugly but stay next to it and keep slicing, the naked girls sword doesnt hit you and use the dragoncrest shield you can find infton of a bone dragon to reduce fire damagde by 85%. Hope this helps :)

Definitely continue Dark Souls! And as for some advice, I recommend having at least 900-1000 health, Wear a mixture of Heavy and Light armor so that you still have fast movement and some decent protection. As for weapons, the Uchigatana ok but it's durability is awful. Try to get something that hits hard or hits fast, in my opinion the Katanas don't do either, but it's entirely up to you. Love your videos!

I got Dark Souls for Christmas and had been looking froward to playing it after beating Demon Souls. I was sure not expecting the game to be this much of a challenge. hey ghost take a look around blight town for a bit there's some really good itmes you can pick up if you search around the area a bit. Alot of them will help you have a much higher resistance against poison.

Wow. You shouldn't be ragging on him for a small mistake. Not only is this his first run through the game, but most of us are trying to encourage him to keep playing. And for the record, saying "I'm sure you'll understand" is not gonna help anything. Cuz all he's gonna see is "you suck" and shit like that. Its not ok bro. i think you should lay down a summon sign right in front of the fog and help someone else beat her. that way youll get to know the boss better and if you beat her you will gain a humanity which you can use to summon people to help you.
I truly hope you continue your Dark Souls walkthrough. I love watching it, its the only one of its kind, most people just show you the clips of when they beat sections, but you show your entire adventure. The thing that is so important about having a walkthrough to Dark Souls is that it helps people to get over their fears and their unwillingness to play this game. To be honest most of the other games you have walkthroughs for are not this difficult and terrifying. In conclusion, of all of the games you make walkthroughs for, Dark Souls needs to be continued the most.

Definitely continue this Ghostrobo! Thus far I have enjoyed your adventure. From your terrifying fight with the giant black knight guy in the Undead Burg to the giant flaming spider of death Queelag. You can beat her, I believe in you, sir! You can summon the sun guy if you have your humanity enabled outside of Queelag's lair, and you can even dodge between her side-flaming sword attacks by rolling back and forth! You got her, man. Keep up the wonderful videos. :)
@Akatsuki3434 He cant summon solaire he hasta use humanity an reverse hollowing an go in the lake an get invaded by maneater mildred and once he kills her he can get the machete and summon her infront of the fog door to qeulaag, terrible AI tho not much help she jus runs into lava over an over again i suggest summoning a real player to help you. And if anyone says get the Chaos blade dont its slower then greatswords and it drains your health an rlly only good with against pvp.
Btw, to get humanity kill rats in the depths. A simple run from is from the bonfire in the middle of the depths. From there just go to the tunnels in the right and stop at the rats where the enchanter was at.
The best thing for you to do is grind increases the over all power of your weapons and armor greatly also humanity if you could it will making things easier and allow you to continue on even beat the game

@mudman1690 The drake sword is really only good very early on, and for people who focus on magic, as the weapon doesn't scale with any stats.
By this point, the drake sword should be getting obsolete, I think.

My best tip is to start a new character, then use it for learning. Everything you already have done will seem so much easier!! Also read on the wikis. When you reach places use _1_ humanity and find a _golden_ sign. Invite this player to private chat, because he probably knows the game _well_. The way to learn this game is from other players, so you just do that! Don't give up! :) Good luck!

Also, you should experiment with two-handing when you go in to attack on bosses and other big enemies, and switching back before you run out of stamina so you can block. The nature of the stamina gauge makes it difficult to go blow for blow since blocking takes stamina, too. Other than that, just get some Humanity so you can summon some help for the big fight!
And don't worry about the haters. The only reason you should stop a game is if you're not having fun, personal stuff aside. Lataz!!!

Hey, dude. I just wanted to leave some props for sticking with Dark Souls as long as you have!
As for your game, I suggest leaving Blighttown and exploring other parts of the world, because that's where a lot of the enjoyment comes from in this game. Definitely get some more moss clumps for later! But once you get back to Quelaag you'll need a shield with good fire defense, if you can find one. And stay locked on.

Ghost, this is what you need to do:
Level up your dexterity to 18, then leave it at that till new game plus.
Level your endurance and vitality a lot, like to 30 at least each
With enough endurance you can wear elite knight armor. Upgrade that to the max
Upgrade your uchigatana as much as possible, and later on you should make a lightning weapon with it.
Play cautiously and don't use humanity like you did at the moonlight butterfly!

Dude I know you're new to this but you should have noticed by now that the you CANNOT avoid getting poisoned AND that the rate that your health degrades is VERY SLOW! You even said it yourself "...Somehow I'm not losing health..."
So stop using up the moss until you're sure that you won't go back into the swamp for a while! Otherwise suck it up, it's only a little poison!

When you turn the game off - doesn't matter where you are or what you were doing - the game will respawn you exactly where you were before you turned it off. Even if you're in the middle of a boss fight. It saves EVERYTHING and loads it again despite your characters circumstances.

Keep your shield up, lock on, while moving sideways. When she vomits the lava, hit her on the side or back, avoid getting caught into the lava, do not get surrounded by lava, if ur getting surrounded move away from there. When attacking her watch out for the explosion by paying attention to her animation. Ok, this should help u continue the series, i've done my part.

Again do not waste healing yourself soon as u get poisoned, it takes a very long time to kill u if your health is full. Kindle the bonfire so u have 10 flasks. Go to your far right to reach the platform where quelag is that way the giants wont attack u. Dont worry about getting poisoned, once ur in front of the gate u can heal or wait for the poison to wear off, then drink a flask.

Lol blightown, where they give up. This level is actually quite easy, instead of wasting your purple mosses just run through the swap, avoid the giant by going to your far right then go fight the boss. The poison wont kill u, u dont need to heal, u can even stand in front of the boss gate and wait for it to wear off then drink a flask. You pretty much passed the annoying part of blightown this is the easy part. Shame to give up, really.

When fighting quelaag just stay to her rear, avoid walking into lava, and watch for when she either leans back looking up or raises her legs in the sky and back away while blocking. you can get to her just hugging the wall to the right without incident and poisons just a annoyance not really important.
that bridge to the right of you takes you back to firelink shrine if you cross the valley, just run past everyone and keep going up after you beat Spider girl. Then you can go to Sens Fortress.

1) Go get the Rusted Iron Ring from Undead Asylum.
2) Farm poison moss in Darkroot Garden
3) Level up your vitality least five more times
4) Return to Blighttown and equip the rusted iron ring so you can run past the boulder guys without getting hit
5) If you're poisoned, eat moss to cure yourself
6) Kick the shit out of Queelag like a Viking Badass
7) Ring the shit out of that bell like a Viking Badass
8) Feel happiness and leave a dumb 'I did it' message on the floor.

Don't fear poison, it's not that bad. Don't be afraid to run around poisoned
I'll second the call for the Rusted Iron Ring
Running around as a human around this area will get you invaded by an NPC that, once defeated, you can summon her in too. If you're struggling to find humanity, there's a twin humanity in a chest behind a illusionary wall up a tree root. Leave the bonfire, go left and keep going until you find the ramp

Hey Ghost, I know Quelaags face is ugly but stay next to it and keep slicing, the naked girls sword doesnt hit you and use the dragoncrest shield you can find infton of a bone dragon to reduce fire damagde by 85%. Hope this helps :)

Definitely continue Dark Souls! And as for some advice, I recommend having at least 900-1000 health, Wear a mixture of Heavy and Light armor so that you still have fast movement and some decent protection. As for weapons, the Uchigatana ok but it's durability is awful. Try to get something that hits hard or hits fast, in my opinion the Katanas don't do either, but it's entirely up to you. The thing that is so important about having a walkthrough to Dark Souls is that it helps people to get over their fears and their unwillingness to play this game. To be honest most of the other games you have walkthroughs for are not this difficult and terrifying. Definitely continue this Ghostrobo! Thus far I have enjoyed your adventure. From your terrifying fight with the giant black knight guy in the Undead Burg to the giant flaming spider of death Queelag. You can beat her, I believe in you, sir! You can summon the sun guy if you have your humanity enabled outside of Queelag's lair, and you can even dodge between her side-flaming sword attacks by rolling back and forth! You got her, man. Btw, to get humanity kill rats in the depths. A simple run from is from the bonfire in the middle of the depths. From there just go to the tunnels in the right and stop at the rats where the enchanter was at.
