I agree, just because something is aimed towards kids doenst mean it has to be low in quality. as soon as I saw the so called "stylized" character designes I knew the series would suck, the CG models look like blocks of cheese & the horrid diologue is nothing but banter that fails to be witty.
I'm glad to hear that there are others who can appretiate quality animated features & sift through the crap thats being shown to kids nowadays.
I honestly think the Clone Wars was really well done compared to the live action films where Hayden is supposedly able to do some crazy acrobatics. Plus the voices are either the same or similar from one medium to the other. We all know the ending of the Star Wars saga, these movies are just about the development of that saga. I always learn something new when I watch them...

It wasn't great but it was easily good. The variety of characters were very fun, and the situations they got into. I liked seeing a very young padawan in action, and the visuals were busy and vibrant on the big screen. Voice casting was very good and felt natural. I would agree regarding the articulation, it was a bit stiff.
Had no major issues though cause going in I realized the target audience were kids.
like I said, good for shits and giggles. If you want a list of movies that are targeted for kids that were good, here are some... Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Finding Nemo, Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Cinderella, Snow White, Bambi, Incredibles, Antz, Bugs Life, Cars, I could go on, but I only have 400 carachters, ohh and just this summer : Kung Fu Panda... using the "target audience for Kids" is a very weak argument IMO.

well I never considered the star wars saga to be all that good, it still is fun. But I thought star wars clone wars was pretty good, in fact better than the other movies. My way of thinking is that Clone wars was covered with the animated mini series, it didn't justify beating a dead horse telling the clone wars again and again and again..its old Lucas. this isn't a star wars movie. it was never meant to be the next star wars episode. it was never meant to be of the quality of a whole star wars film. all it is, is a feature length saturday morning cartoon. that is all it was meant to be. please, try to enjoy this film for what it is, not what you want it to be. it's like saying casablanca sucks because it doesn't have zombies in it.

Its a pilot? I think that borders on overkill. A two season show that was pretty good, a cg movie thats not so good and another series? I have star wars reference books that give details of the clones wars.
theres really not that much to it. I however think lucas's choice to focus in on the jedi purge in between revenge of the sith and a new hope is a pretty good idea. thats about 20 years of material to do things about with the live action show as well.

Sweet!, I made an Ask Kevin Anything Segment!. I completely agree with you on the Clone Wars Movie. My way of thinking is that Clone wars was covered with the animated mini series, it didn't justify beating a dead horse telling the clone wars again and again and again..its old Lucas. How bout you throw the fans a bone and give them a movie that takes places between episode 3 and episode 4, we haven't seen it and it would be nice to cover uncharted territory, what more can be covered with this?

Well, I'm definitely considering waiting until, is released as the premier for the series! And the recent why it blows, is because it's focusing on a already fully developed character, Anakin Skywalker! I want to know more about, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto ,Saesee Tiin,& Agen Kolar and the rest of the Jedi! Not Anakin Skywalker, to know the people that he betray!

why did they try and do a rehash of the fantastic clone wars cartoon, sure each episode lasted about 3 minutes but it was original and very well done, this movie should have gone straight into the bargain bucket.

I didn't like one error they made, they made Anikan a jedi master if this is basicly starwars 2.5 why make Anakian the same thing the concil said he couldn't be, and personaly they could of just of played a beowolf movie instead of the crappy cubed style yes I know the CN series but come on! and most complete cgi movies look way better and I agree and defend DC's responce he put in words I can not but I feel the movie was bad they should of just made it Dvd realse instead of the cinema.EPIC FAIL

If I would have knew it before hand, I would have NOT seen that movie.
Lucas has sold out the franchise ONCE AGAIN!
The animation was rigid, the voices were annoying, the story was stupid as shit.
I'm an avid star wars fan, I love the originals and I even like the episodes 1 2 and 3. This piece of shit of a movie is a SHAME to the franchise just like the Christmas Special.
Best part of the movie was the droids, wow.

this isn't a star wars movie. it was never meant to be the next star wars episode. it was never meant to be of the quality of a whole star wars film. all it is, is a feature length saturday morning cartoon. that is all it was meant to be. please, try to enjoy this film for what it is, not what you want it to be. it's like saying casablanca sucks because it doesn't have zombies in it.
