The whole point of the fadeaway is about creating space, Kobe has a nice fadeaway, no doubt about that, but anyone who has watched 2nd 3peat MJ knows that MJ was much more consistent with it and created unbelievable space with it, it was literally automatic which allowed him to shoot a higher percentage than Kobe even when he wasn't dunking like he used to in his prime

MJ wouldn't go for long range fadeaway often, but he was capable of it
