  • im so sad i didn't get to experience the vancouver games live, i deffinately want to go to london for 2012

  • Canada was the BEST host so far!! Canadians are so lively, good-spirited and welcoming! Canada is the place to be! Go Canada!!!!

  • Canadians are sooo full of liveliness and good spirit.... So welcoming too! Canada is the place to be!!!!! Go Canada!

  • Wow! A British person who actually LIKED the Vancouver Games?

Good luck with the Olympics, London. I know I had a great time here in Vancouver. Now that everyone's gone home, it feels so empty... :(

  • Great job Seb and brillant commentry on how well Vacouver has created a brillant atmosphere for the games.

Hopefully London can learn from this and make 2012 games very intergrated by ensuring everyone will not miss out on the events.

  • London I hate to say it will be the worst olympics in the last 20 years. Lack of investment will cripple it. I think more money will be spent on the London police preventing the next 9.11 than the games itself.

I think London is looking like a potential national embarrassment for 2012.

  • it's going to be an American vs China show.

  • Thats a bit gloomy! Where's your British pride and optimism?!

  • What an idiotic comment. There is huge amounts of investment going into the games, and we have loads of national experience of running big events. There is no reason to suppose it is going to be anything other than brilliant.

People like you are the worst thing about Britain - such a miserable 'can't do' attitude. Why don't you keep your glum moaning to yourself and let the rest of us get excited about the upcoming games

  • @IJBLondon

Don't worry. If you look globally the UK media is by far the most deprecating and self-deprecating. No matter how the Olympics go, I am 100% sure the vast majority of Canadians will enjoy watching them or attending them, and similarly with the world.

You will hear negative coverage (e.g. UK Guardian) as we did for Vancouver 2010 :(, but London is one of the greatest cities in the world, and the UK one of the greatest nations, so they CAN'T mess it up.

  • THANK YOU !

There has been SO MUCH negativity from the British Press that past couple of days -- that you for a more rounded perspective :)

  • we need live gigs throughout london on big nights.

there should be a massive party on the opening and closing ceremonies with big British stars.... show our party nature.

  • Can't wait for 2012! good job Seb

  • our 2012 will be better than bjin and vancu

  • @1234567loading i like this spirit no self-deprecation.

London is one of the greatest cities in the world, and the UK one of the greatest nations. Chuck-full of awesome athletes and add to this that British people are very kind and love their sports and you got yourself a great games, you CAN'T mess them up so that shouldn't even be a concern.

The negative UK coverage of Vancouver was hurtful I think to Canadians but we're over it and looking forward to 2012 London

  • Good luck Seb :)

2012 is gonna be one big British worldwide PARTY!
