Now why is it that i've seen other derbies where they merely tap bumpers and consider it a hit? Seriously, in some derbies most cars stall out before they hit anyone or get hit hard by anyone.

@Racecarlock the cars that stall out before getting hit are cars that are not well built. they think they just car break out the windows of some junker and go derby. It takes alot of work to build a good derby car.

@k73mrviking Yeah, well it's even more disappointing when half the cars are like that and the other ones are really slow and end up making a small tap. Seriously.

@k73mrviking yea man, we put a roll cage, 350 chevy sbc, custom valve covers, reinforced doors and panels, better door hinges, and a old set of mud tires. lot of time, effort, and money gos into one of those "junky cars"

I agree. I don't always win. But I guarantee that the crowd knows my number when the derby is over. People fill the stands to see some hits.. not watch some guy sandbag his way to a win!! HIT HARD OR GO HOME SANDBAGGER.
