  • Wow wonderful video, great slide show, very beautiful and calming to watch thank you for posting

  • es mi cancion favorita desde bebe =) =3

  • i don't understand how people from this continent can complain about anything.. poverty? pffft, they got the richest untouched natural resources at their very feet. and life is created and evolved in front of their very eyes! africa is also the definiton of beauty. everything there is amazing, like Heaven actually exists. <3

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 probably the hot climate and the lack of the ability to grow anything in some places, and lack of water in certain places. Mind you with all the modern technology about, its amazing that no one has done somethin to sort the real situation with hunger and such, I suppose we're a world of ignorant people with the "why should we give a toss and help them out" attitude.

  • We're gonna get old walking across this thing.....

  • pls your next video in HD :) but it´s great!

  • Amazing voice bro Lebo!

  • Heard this in Lion King 3. Awesome!

  • Beautiful!

  • The guy at 2:40 is Solomon Lida who is the guy who wrote the song "Mbube" which later became the popular music success "The Lion Sleeps Tonight"

  • Are these photos you took or did you just get them off the internet? please get back to me

  • You may remember "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was first recorded by a band called The Tokens

  • @59771006 The song was first recorded in 1939 by a group called The Evening Birds 2:42.

  • @jpdickert Got Him

  • Comment removed

  • @jpdickert True but it was The Tokens version in the 60s that got to No.1 in the charts and the one that everyone knows. This tune also caused all sorts of trouble when it was used in The Lion King because the original band wanted more royalties or whatnot, cant remember exactly but I know there was some problems. Personally I think this is the best version but the Tokens version is brill aswell, pitty this one didnt get more recognition.

    Cheers

  • My fav part was to 3:41! :)

  • 1:35 and 1:40 the my favorite part

  • this beats all cartoon shit.

its awsome it lebo´s voice is perfect whit this song.

  • i know the song it self written is allot older than this version, but this version is the one and true version, its perfect. im mezmerized.

  • This version is so beautiful! My favorite one of all. =)

  • Both pictures and music are inspired and good for the heart. Be blessed and may God add more such inspiration to you. Thanks.

  • Proper Zulu refrain and none of this "wimaweh"nonsense. This is the version i heard when was in SA and the Drakensburg Boy's Choir sing a similar arrangement. Much slower, more emotional and intense. Reminds me of my time in SA and makes me really happy: thanks!

  • I just love the way Lebu m puts colour to this song. He has made it his own. He has done justice. The late owner can be proud of Lebu m when he listens to this cover version.

  • EXECELLENT

  • 0:13 powerful

  • i luv this song and the way lebo m sings it!!!....its so peaceful but strong and kinda makes u think

  • What a powerful song and wonderful video. Always view this when I need a little 'pick me up'. It gives you the feeling that you can conquer anything!!!

Makes me wanna go to Africa:D

  • por que no borran todos esos coemntarios asurdos que deja la gente estupida todos debreiamos borrar taradeces como las del niño nikde nuestros videos es ridiculo

  • i think this is a beautiful version. It is as authentic and as close to the original by Solomon Linda as an English spoken version can be. Lebo M has a beautiful voice.

  • I love how the artists uses uyimbube (Solomon Linda's original song lyrics) instead of the Token's "ee-umbambaway"

Excellent version, love when people recognize Linda's masterpiece of music.

  • i love this song it is awsome !!!!!!!!!

  • 2:35 have that pic on my desktop =P

  • where'd you get it? please tell, oh please!

  • do you have msn ?

  • yup! but im not really comfortable giving it out just like that, since i dont know you. sorry. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease dont feel offended. could you send the link in a message?

  • The song is available on the Lion King gold edition and the "Rhythm of the Pride Lands" albums. A different Lebo M version is also on the Lion King Broadway album.

  • Rhythm's the BEST cd. I love it. I've played two of them into the ground.

  • Lebo M. what does the M stand for?

  • His name is Lebohang Morake.

  • - if you feeling competely hopeless and loved by no1...

    - if you see there wont be a way for you to go ahead...

    - if you think that even the ones very next to you have forsaken you...

then listen to that song and take a deep breath!

that song is wonderful and helped me times of great trouble and to outstand any struggle!

    my regards to Lebo M.

  • great song .

  • Possibly the best version of the song I've heard (beats the Tokens by a mile...)

  • if u get a chance to go to africa, ur a colossal moron if you dont take it........especially Botswana.......wow

  • I love this song

  • THIS VIDEO HAS NATURE (:

  • great vid

    someone want to chat KA

  • Beutiful. I love this song.

  • Got the song from the movie "No Reservations" with Aaron Eckhart and Catherine Zeta Jones. Tearjerker and unique role for Jones.

  • at 2.06 is that edited or not? if not that woman really got some balls in a good way :P

  • it dosent nesserseraly have to be edited she could of found it at a young age and rasied it and she and the rhino could be very close

  • That's why i asked i really didn't know if that was edited or not just though that woman was brave standing next to an animal that size.

  • I don't know if the picture is real or not. I found it on someone's blog, and they must have just found it online somewhere.

  • To me it looks like a painting. For starters, the rhino is wearing a knitted sweater, you wouldnt want to wear that in Africa, you'd melt. And it's one strange lookin rhino. Plus, even if a rhino is hand reared, it would still charge and if i did that, id most likly be flat as a pancake lol

  • that's not a sweater that's his natural body armor like all rhinos have

  • I love this version of that song

  • Wonderfull Song, best version.

  • Did that lion get a boner at 2:33? lmfao

  • .... some people can only think about boners.... grow up, it is an tail O.O

  • This is the BEST version of the song.

  • @natshiko oh iono about that. I've heard some real good ones. But this one ranks up there with the best of them.

  • I absolutely LOVE this version of this song...I would even say i think its the best version there is!!!!!

  • Qualcuno per caso ha questa canzone proprio nella versione di lebo? la cerco disperatamente ma su e mule non c'è

  • Lebo M is the genius behind all of the African music used in the Lion King movie and musical in the movie he's the person that does that cry at the begining of "Circle of Life" I would so like to meet him this song is off the album "Rhythm of the Pride Lands which is music inspired by The Lion King.

  • BUT THIS IS ORIGINAL!! xD

  • Somewhat true, however, the artist of this version is not an untallented white man, he's one of Africa's most well known, black men: LeboM. And it was not made as a protest against white men, but as a tribute to the black women, the Lion mum!

  • The original version is made by Solomon Linda. And the original song is named Solomon Linda's Original Evening Birds - Mbube. ["Mbube" (Zulu for "lion")]

  • Zak1900 - Du din jävla idiot! The song you refer to, Mbube by Solomon Linda, had nothing to do with protest or the likes. He and his group/choir competed in choral competitions that were and are popular in the African communities of South Africa, and he wrote Mbube for this end.

  • Nice Nice Nice Completely impressive with the voice and the background music!!!!!!!!

  • lebo m is brill singer he helped hans zimmer in lion king

  • lebo m is brill singer he helped hans zimmer in lion king

  • Without a doubt, the best version of this song. There's some good remakes, but, this one is totally amazing.

  • Agreed 100% ,^^,

  • I love this version of this song! Thanx for posting!

  • please could you tell me where to get this song? i cant find it. if you can help, i would appreciate it very much. Thanks. 5/5

  • you can find it on the soundtrack for The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Nice song :)

  • Awesome voice and talent!

  • I prefered this music by Lebo M better than the one by The Tokens. It's my favorite.

  • Beautiful video! It is so great to have original African pictures and African music, instead of the brainless pop (which I admit I liked until I found this!) Awesome! So much beauty in our world!

  • Anyone who rate less than 5 out to 5 this song deserve a good kick in the ass.

  • this african version of Lebo M. is much better than the orginal.

  • jaimerai trouvé la version française de cette version de the lion sleep tonigh, si quelqun c'est

  • beautiful, but a bit ironic. an african did a cover of an american pop-tainted song, that was all african to begin with, lol. i wonder how it would sound if Lebo M re-did it in the original language...

  • wow actually the first montage-thingy i really watched!!! 8O

    love it! <3

omg i love africa so much!! :,)

and really the best version of this song! i love the last minute. =)

  • Simply the best -- but what happened to Solomon Linda's original version. It was once available on youtube.

  • type in "Mbube"

it should be on the 1st or 2nd page

  • 10 out of 10

  • brilliant from the stig

  • I like this song a lot !

    Thanks for posting this

  • heard this track from the no reservation movie. i fell inlove with it the moment i heard it so i search for it in youtube. nice one Lebo m

  • i love animals i love this!

  • This is easily the best version of The Lion Sleeps Tonight ever. Isn't it funny that the best version happens to be one from an African man? :D

  • The original was from an African named Solomon Linda, sung in Zulu named Mbube.

    So, um, yeah.

  • I know. I don't see how your comment is relevant, however. As I said, isn't it funny how the best version is by an African man?

  • Well I didn't understand it, I thought you meant that it was originally written by someone of a different race and that it was funny that your favorite was done by an African man.

  • Nope. It's just that there's so many versions of "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" that I find it funny that the version I like the most is not from one of the many other artists, but an artist who happens to come from the same country as the creator of the original. :D

  • Lol looking back I was pretty dumb.

  • i luv it!!!

  • This is my absolute favorite version of The Lion Sleeps Tonight!!!! Very well done montage
