Permethrin is the active ingredient in flea and tick collars specifically for cats sold in Canada. The effect this has on a cat is very serious and requires immediate care by a vet specializing in cat toxicity.
I would like to have seen a video of a cat showing the typical signs of permethrin toxicity- maybe you could video the next case you see and add this into the middle of the podcast video?
