This is Mozart's re-arrangement, right? As interesting as it is to hear it with the winds and in German, I still think I like Handel's original version better.

Terrible: it's like a melo-drama of Puccini! This is not Haendel at all (even clarinets, which didn't exist in Haendel's time). Pure kitsch

Clarinets didn't exist in Haendel's time, but the sure did in Mozart's... Do your homework, dear fellow, this is the MOZART rearrangement of the Messiah...

(Oh, by the way, this couldn't be Puccini at all... Puccini is in Italian... the original Messiah text is in English...) ;-)
