Protip: That's a Yamaha DTX Midi Drum set hooked up to the arcade machine. By technicality he is doing in on a real drum set, if he memorizes the chart, he could do it on a standalone DTX without the machine.

He flawlessly perfected the drum solo part in the middle of "The least 100sec"! From where I came, nobody is brave enough to play that song under EXT (even in ADV with Auto Assist enabled.) It's just simply difficult.

Tsk! No wonder why this song always stuck in level-99 rating in later series. XD

It's also al lot more user unfriendly. Don't get me wrong, I love drummania, but if they would make an interface like Rock band, you could play it so much better. Because the first few times you play any of these songs, you don't know what to do, because the notes are all over the place. It's the same reason rock revolution did so bad in the states (besides the bad covers)

that doesn't often apply to almost all real drummers with some who most often have a hard time following the beats since they are normally the ones giving out the beats in the songs that they play in real drums. they have their own beats and following someone else's tends to be a challenge.

Wow, you must just really suck at reading charts... With an ability to have such high rates of speed and an overhead notes you are able to distinguish rolls that in RB would be impossible to read properly. Case and point being Young Man Blues in Rock Band, that would be SO EASY in Drummania, MAYBE an 89...

Also I enjoy the separation of the bass pedal, but I think this is just a personal preference where all the other stuff is just fact.

well, I got the ION and when I want to get real I take my actual drumset. It's just that the GH/RB layout more comfortable. And yes, it's easier to red fast rolls, but I normally listen to the song and the roll itself to get a feeling for it.

The layout in these games in general is too small. But still, I love all Bemani games ;p

Up till the drummania of this version(V3), the bass pedal is quite hard to use(although it won't bother you after some solid practice).

On drummania V4, the bass pedal HAS A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT. It's a lot easier to make it respond, ALMOST like the real thing (at least one I tried back then).

Probably because the footpedal on Drummania is nothing like a real footpedal. Every time I've played this game I've turned the footpedal off because hitting the footpedal here is extremely awkward compared to hitting an actual one.

Turning off the bass drum makes the game ridiculously easy thoguh. I think the bass pedal is fine honestly. It takes a lot more effort to play some of the songs that have a tone of bass notes in a row but it is still pretty easy for most songs since you have to hit it only once or twice every like 5 seconds.
