Is their self esteem so low that they have a need to demean and diminish another person? Laws will not solve this problem, however when physical attacks occur or a student feels that their safety is in jeopardy, something must be done. Start with monitoring and restricting computer usage and cell phone activity for those guilty of bullying.

Second of all, threatening to kill or assault someone is against the law and can be punishable by a court order and date with the judge - no matter what age you are. Who here didn't scribble in notebooks during study hall? I used to scribble about how much I hated teachers, other students who were mean to me. Why are we wigging out over this, isn't just a touch hysterical? I get it, the internet = DANGER. As we transcend into the new technological era, the adults of the past generation don't teach their children the essential social values of yesterday. The things you see on T.V. such as sex, drugs, and murder make kids think it is the norm and acceptable. I personally do not care for bullying. This is a form of bullying, which is quite intense given the age group of the girls involved. In order to alleviate any further concerns and fears for the girl who was targeted in this circumstance it is imperative that the school enforce some type of discipline. Schools allow students to harass and assault one another (they call it bullying). The answer is simple. No one should be forced to go to school with people who make their lives miserable.
