  • nice runs but should have put the passenger in the Accord considering it had mods and the RSX was bone stock.....woulda made it a better run

  • how the fuck could u say this is a drivers race

  • because its close. These 2 cars run identical 1/4 mile stock. This accord has a few bolt ons

  • @Recruit555 no the v6 accords are faster....rsx type s run high 14s stock

  • @filipk13 talking to someone else

  • Comment removed

  • @diehard1000 nope

  • the driver is shifting just fine.

  • Ugh, another moron who thinks that "VTEC" is unique to certain models, even though ALL hondas have it since the early 90's. It's variable valve timing and electronic throttle control systems. And it's not unique to honda. A LOT of car companies have their own systems, VVTI, Double Vanos, MIVEC, etc. Etc. If your source of car information is just you and your buddies talking about how VTEC is like "NOS" or "TURBO", then you need to start reading from legit sources.

  • @rarejd no but honda had it first and there vtec is waaay better than the one you listed

  • @karsseboomh22 Define "waaay better". In what sense are you talking about, better performance? More power? More fuel efficient? More versatile and flexible? Less likely to break down? Pollutes less? Honda's are great engines, but even a Honda fan like me knows a single car company hasn't become good at everything. I know some high end cars with more powerful engines from their vvt's, but they cost two or three times as much. So, define better.

  • As much as I am a fan of the accord over the rsx, fix "losted" please...

  • dude...i got an 04 accord ex v6 6 speed

and i beat the rsx type and i only have a short ram intake...

  • @24kRacingHT of course u did were talkin about an 4 cylinder vs v6 big differences

  • @asianRSXdriver91 Realize weight difference and gearing too? 6speed manual vs 5spd auto? And 500 pound difference. thats why it's a drivers race (RSX driver lol)

  • No offense but if that Honda Accord had standard transmission you would have been screwed

  • actually no. A bolt av6 auto pulls on 05 typeS and k20 si's

  • Yes it does because you have a better ability to get into a higher rpm range allowing you to get into the vtech range=more power

  • love this video. Reminds me of when I beat my cousins 02 RSX-S lol.

  • go stock for stock or even mod for mod and see what happens

  • Accord v6 auto stock vs rsx type-S stock would be a close race. Maybe even a tie.

6spd accord will beat a typeS stock vs stock no problem

  • AV6 FTW

  • !!!!HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

  • rsx type-s drivers think thier so freaking fast it gets me mad i will smoke one any day in my 046speed accord it doest matter wat they have I/E/RH/K-pro...They get owned

  • mods?

  • Apex-i ws2 cat-back exhaust,intake megan test-pipe

  • You sound like you think you're fast. lol im j/p. But honestly... I/rh/e/kpro will take our car man. My buddy has 05 typeS with those mods and runs 13.8-13.9 @ 101mph. Your i/e 6spd will not beat that.

  • dam those are good times but do you think they can still beat us from a roll

  • It's gonna be a driver's race. I want to say our cars will beat them. But sadly, krpo makes a big difference when done right.

  • Search "RSX type S vs 6mt accord". That accord is gutted, vafc2 tuned, v2, exhaust, pulley, and some other stuff. He's putting 240whp and barely beating a rh/i/e none tuned 05-S

  • @Recruit555 dude accord v6 will smash on an rsx and i own a type s too

  • Recruit555 - There are 7th gen Accord V6 6spds with just intake and exaust running 13.9@101MPH. Great drivers race!

  • Yeah thats the absolute best time done by "stoner" on v6p correct? I believe his clutch/tranny went out. Mick av6 acheived 14.2 stock which everyone was surprised about. An Auto ran 14.5 with just an intake I believe too which is nearly impossible. None the less, I love how our cars are underrated!

  • and if the 6-speed get's mods and runs a 13.6 @103?

You're buddies RSX won't beat that...

  • i have yet to see a full bolt on accord run a 13.6. That's all speculation. Please provide links to timeslips and I will become a believer! I can see it being possible but it hasn't been posted anywhere yet. You will need no wheel hop, pre cat deletes, exhaust ,pulley, intake, j-pipe, a good driver and some weight reduction to hit that. Even then, its going to be hard to pull of consistently imo

  • rsx's have more aftermarket and respond to mods better..

  • Great general statement, but stock for stock, or stock vs slightly modded, the accord is still faster. End of story.

And if you have enough money, you can easily make just about any car "respond to mods" better.

  • accord is faster... i wasnt arguing that. but rsx responds to mods A LOT better and has A LOT more aftermarket support.. for example... an intake and race header for the rsx yields way better gains then a j30 would with j-pipe/cai. its actually pretty sad that NO ONE including hondata carries nothing for the j30... kpro makes a pretty big difference with a rsx, vafc2 for the accord, nothing... some people with vafc or nero actually raced the same accord with no tuning and lost to it...

  • @Recruit555 Yeah but how boring, both of these cars are pretty much fast enough stock. Most accord buyers aren't looking to run 9's. It's a different buyer altogether. The accord buyer is a more mature buyer. The v6 is great for everyday runs to work and the gym, both cars are fast enough to entertain anyone, and fast enough to get into trouble.

  • Who was talking about 9's and how is modding your car boring?

  • I meant IMO modding your car is cool to a certain point, but after a while, theres a threshold where it just becomes hubrus. My point was that running a 14 second quarter mile may not run with ferrari's and lambo's, but they're fast enough for entertainment and a daily driver.

Now, no disrespect to honda enthusiasts. But If I wanted a straight up track car, or freeway demon, a FWD honda would not be my first choice. For all season fun and usability, I drive a 6 speed accord coupe.

  • agreed

  • @Recruit555 my j32 responds to mods very well...20 whp from dc headers

  • lol...very well said, for ignorant enthusiasts. mod FOR mod it's a different story. Numbers don't lie.

  • Well of course the K20 is gonna have more mods but doesn't respond to bolt on mads as well as the J30's do!

  • i think the g6 would have to beat a 4 banger accord or else thats pathetic for a pontiac with 260 hp to lose to a basic accord. The v-6 accord would beat it though, and is better quality by a light year

  • both auto and 240 hp he got more torque thats y he wins

  • Torque output is never constant in combustion engines.

  • so the 200 horse 4 banger or the 160 ish horse ones? cause both would lose to a g6. the accord v6 would kill the g6 no problem though

  • nah he beat me by 2 car lengths 3 times.. that thing is a beast from 0-40 then from 40 to 115 or so i couldnt gain and he didnt pull.hes got a CAI and im stock but i dont think i can get him until i get a tune

  • the accord pulled pretty hard the last run. His auto has to downshift too while the typeS is already in its powerband. Nice runs. I thought the 05 typeS would do better. The accord would have killed an 02 typeS

  • i got a 06 accord 5 speed auto my buddy just bought a new g6 gxp 6 speeed auto with 252 hp. was wondering what you think would win in a race were both stock? thanks

  • My DC5 would kill that accord... allow me... i wanna take him!

  • you probably could. i use to have a 05 accord v6 6speed and kprod rsx's were right next to me. i/e/rh were not enough to beat me when i was stock. my 6spd ran 14.3 at 97mph stock

  • ya but a stock rsxtype-s is not faster then a stock accord v-6mt 7 gen, i know this for a fact, im not saying the rsx is a bad car its sick, but its not faster. do the mods and i couldn't care less who's faster.

  • that rsx shouldn't even be aloud to be humiliated like that

  • humiliated? look at the mod list..RSX is bone stock with a extra passenger and the accord is modded...the accord is slow ass hell to be modded AND for the RSX to keep up while having 2 less cylinders...comon..RSX FTMFW!

  • rsx is like 500lbs lighter. better gearing, and a manual on top of that. You can hear the automatic accord shifting on its own. sounds horrible. the accords mods gave no more then 8whp

  • Nice man wellll said. i agree

  • did i see an acura legend in there?

  • im sry but this accord v6 is weak...i have a 04 v6 SEDAN and it had nothing but a k&n drop in filter and i beat him by 2-3 cars same condition type s but now exhaust j-pipe nd intake will demolish a type s

  • one more thing i was never behind him like this accord was AV6 FTMFW!!

  • was it a good idea to race and rev a 4 week old engine. I assume it was fully broken in?

  • Stock Accord is so Beastly

  • Torque FTW!!

  • I have a STOCK 2006 V6 6 speed accord coupe. My friend has an rsx-s with exhaust. From a 40 roll I put 1.5 cars on him by the time I shifted into 3rd. Also from a 60 roll, I had my 250+lb friend in the car and we were even until about 85 where I pulled 1.5 cars by 110.

  • Was your friend HOT? What's her name? :D Me so funny.

  • I've raced my buddies RSX-s with exhaust a few times in my stock '06 V6 6 Speed Accord Coupe. From a 40 roll I was 1.5 cars as I shifted 3rd. We even went from a 60 roll and I had my 250+lb friend in the car and we were even until about 85 where I started pulling as was around 1.5 cars again at 110.

  • 201hp-2700lbs vs. 240hp-3200lbs

The accord wasn't even a 6 speed... Its all about torque. The accord makes 80 more torque and 40 more hp and gets the same gas mileage LOL

  • do i hear turbo or a bov?or is it just me?

  • i think its just a lil chain or something 'tinking' in his car.. no? o.0; cus i hear it too

  • I have 03 accord v6 6spd. any reccommended upgrades? got intake and short shifter. Looking for exhaust and springs now.

  • bro get a Ingalls Torque Damper for ur car ..... puts more power to the ground and improves shifting... i have a 04 AV6 6spd and i just put one on my car

  • pretty good race. at one time i ran my buddies 07 accord v6 manual and i was pretty much bone stock (just had an open stock intake) i had about a 300pound guy in the car and he was alone. i would take him by a fender off a 60roll everytime all the way up to 120 and let off...good race

  • Your friend must not be a good driver. Stock V6 6 speed Accords run 14.5s all day. RSX-s usual times are around 14.8-14.9. But on the street, almost anything can happen.

  • seen 05 rsx type s run when they make them breath w i/h/e total different car. those bolt ons would have made that race completely different

  • And the hondata kpro ecu reflash, which makes the stock rsx.201 hp TO THE WHEELS, big difference

  • lol moron you said add hondata kpro ecu reflash, kpro and reflash are two completely different things

  • Enlighten me einstein. Whats the difference?

  • reflash lowers the vtec and raises rpm and CANNOT be tuned, and with kpro you can do everything you need to TUNE a car, thats why you get kpro and not reflash bcuz its fully tuneable, dont question me next time, i hate making people look bad when it comes to rsxs' :)

  • I did not question you, I simply asked what the difference was for my own info. And I called you einstein because you were rude and called me a moron. Plus, you MUST know about the car you drive, because you own one. I don't drive an RSX or a k20. Do you know of any reflashes for the J30a4 in the 03-04 accord v6 6MT cause this thing's a bitch to tune.

    Thanks

  • call him moron because he doesn't know the difference between kpro and reflash, wow get a life. your too Fast and Furious

  • The rsx-s has no mods, so in my opinion it faired pretty well.

  • I owned an 06 RSX Type-S and now own an 06 Accord EX-L V6 6MT. I'd have to say my Accord is definitely faster but the RSX was more fun to mess around in. I added the Aero kit and tinted windows on my Accord and in my opinion looks better than RSX now. Either way both are amazing cars.

My advice is to simply buy what you like or can afford. Accord was 35k after tax and accessories, 10k+ more than the RSX. It better be faster and more luxurious, right? I agree.

    Drive safe out there.

  • wow I hope your in canada, lol otherwise you got raped. I was out the door including tax and reg with my 07 V6 6mt sedan for 26k.

  • OK! I have a 4 door LX V6 With AEM V2 intake, Flowmaster Cat Back.

I have raced many RSX they are SLOW AS FUCK! But the Type S is no joke!!! My friend has a type s with Torque dampner on it && from a 20 roll he pulls me by half a car in all, from a dig were dead even!!!

But recently I put a 75 shot of ZEX Nitrous and now I KILL HIM!!!!!

LETS JUST SAY WE NO LONGER GO BY CARS WE GO BY BUSES!!!! LOL!!!

  • Haha, nice. Is a 75 shot safe thought, I'm thinking about that for my 6spd, any problems?

  • 75 shot on what? no more then 50 shot on a 4 banger unless you have internals.

  • "VTEC" is only designed to produce more power from less displacement, and improve fuel economy by closing valves @ low rpms (or heavy loads) All these Wankers think it's some kind of "Power Team". It's like the Hemi V8 motors that cut to 4 cyl. on the feeway to improve fuel economy. Woohoo! VTEC baby!...wankers

  • VTEC has different types economy and racing.civic vx has economy type,Honda s2000,and B16,b18,h22 racing.

  • Agree, wut do u think opening the valves at 5000rpm or so meants, more fule, more air, more power. U can definitely feel the kick, specially on the v6 (j30a4)

  • the engine breath better so its faster, nothing in common with the hemi. wtf?

  • It's NOT designed to make it FASTER. It's designed to get the most HP from less displacement. Only b/c of the strict weight and size regulations in Japan. You can feel the "kick" on ANY motor getting close to it's peak power. It's NOT the VTEC "kicking" in like they say. Call Honda on it. An Intake makes a motor breathe, but you need a "HandsOn" tune to use the air, or else your ECU will take it back to a factory mix...duh.

  • wrong, it's designed to get more hp from less displacement to make the car faster.

    It's both.

  • Yeah even american cars have variable valve timing, including new dodges...

    wanker.

  • You gotta love that word, "Wanker"!

P.S. I own a 2007 Honda Pilot w/ the 3.5 V6 VTEC. It was an EASY choice when we went looking for an SUV. I'm actually a huge fan of Honda. SHit man, they're F-1 cars are crazy. I wish theyd make a V8 for the Pilot, or even the Civic. And, I wish my lawn was big enuff for a Honda push mower.

  • how do u race and automatic and win? rly someone tell me so i can do it with my accord

  • ive driven a v6 auto accord b4(sis has one) and trust me, they have power. all u gotta do is stomp on the gas and you'll win :)

  • You all are retarted... Im sorry even if the camera man was in that Accord the Accord would still dominate... I have a V6 EX Coupe 6 speed... and I had a full tank of gas 5 people in my car and I kicked the crap out of a late 90's STS which they run Between 6.4-6.6 so your telling me that a RSX type S with one passanger that has no Torque will beat my accord? Haha... put ure title on the line and lets go race ill fill my car up and put my other 4 friends in my car too and a camera haha

  • I'd Have to agree. Like you said, RSX-S Have barely any torque... Plus, I don't think having ONE person in the car while racing will limit the car that much. Then again, the RSX-S has No torque as it is, you'd lose HP carrying a bag of groceries in the trunk.

  • I used to have that rsx, and now have that same accord. Rsx is more quick if its type-s.

  • wrong.

  • Keep in mind its v6 SOHC...

  • ..its also automatic. there is a BIIIIIIIG difference up top between the v6 6 speed and the 5 speed auto accord. try the 6 speed, youll fall in love:)

  • sad but true. rsx has the torque of a school girl riding a bicycle. i should know i have a teg

  • Well dur, the accord will win hence the descript of this vid.. STOCK rsx s vs a LIGHTLY mod'd accord. + the rsx has another passenger. if the accord was stock, of course itll take it, but it cant take it being stock.. i have a rsx s lightly mod'd i take accords all the time.

  • i agree h/a/e/ is prettyu good onthe rsx maybe even to take a s2000 but like they say its allabout mods... the s2000 is the best performance car from honda u can get other then nsx LOL

  • s2k is one of the best performance car from honda and ill agree to that, but nowadays they're finding more and more knowledge of the k20 and making it an extreme monster. ever seen a k20/24 frank build? extremly aggresive. but to the racing, its all about the driver. i only have a cold air in my k20z1 and i take a lot of cars, most recent car i took was a 05 gt mustang. too bad non of my friends vid it :\ wouldve been a great youtuber vid.

  • Lol at taking 05 gt with rsx with intake,,,

  • Ha. I'll race you. My 6 speed is stock for about another week. My buddy's got a focus that will mop your ass up. And it's a focus!

  • was that accord auto?

  • Yes, it was.

  • That's what 40 more hp and 70 more torque does!!! I hope these were both 6 speeds. These cars cost about the same and get the same exact gas mileage. Which would you get?

  • Taking on a 7th gen. V6 Accord on the highway isn't a good idea for a NA 4-banger. I have a 06 Accord coupe V6 (auto), the one place where I don't feel out-guned is the highway. If the RSX guys knew what they were doing, they would take the Accord to a winding hill or something.

  • sorry but rsx has no torqe.would never buy one.

  • the camera man should have been in the Accord, the race would have been closer.

  • Thank you Captain Obvious. Put a passenger in the winning car and the race would be closer. In the only race when they left at the same time, the Accord blew the doors off the RSX before slowing down as it passed the car. And it's an auto. Not knocking on the RSX, but it's obvious the accord is faster, unless you get into the serious modding. Then it doesn't matter what car you drive.
