Yes, its permanent 4x4.
But i guess this one is a diesel, so it doesnt take that much.

Hey,
it´s no permanent 4x4.
Rear wheels are on only when speed differential between front and rear. Then viskosity of oil is changing and the dedicated coupling will block.

how does this syncro 4x4 work? is it permanent 4x4? i am asking this because i wanna buy a t4 caravelle and not shure if i want it a syncro because of fuel consumtion :(
