  • Mine is exactly like they show riding. I would have to say they are wrong about top end. Mine was factory and just got an exhaust on it and it goes 189mph like it should. Very good bike over all. I can still go out and stomp some ass. It says something when you can out run a trooper charger on it,

  • best looking bike in the middleweight class and sweet sounding too. don't see why they don't have a red version too. the Kawi 250 comes in red.

  • @dhom100 lol the 08 zx6r comes in red aswell.

  • why is only one of the headlights lit?

  • @Mishomtp

the second headlight is for brights.

  • We never got the green rims in Australia, it looks so much better with green rims.

  • Green!

  • this dude being interviewed isn't really saying much at all

  • Haha I love how he took the mic from her hand at like 0.46. Haha what a legend

  • i want that bike that year i don't care that it is 2010 now. that bike is really nice

  • @speeder741 I sat on K8-K9 Suzuki GSXR, 2008 Kawasaki ZX6R, 2010 Kawasaki ZX6R, 2008 Honda CBR600, and 2007 Yamaha R6; and I find the seating on the 08 ZX6 the best. I'm 5'7/5'8 and own an 04 ZX6RR. I don't recommend this bike if your short or my height. It's quite big. If your looking for a bike still, or own one already. Find and get the most comfortable one.

  • iam from POrt Chester NY, got mine for 20$ per month:) iam 26

  • Really like my bike, I did the Jumper Mod, opened the stock exhaust, and unhooked the exhaust butterfly servo, put on a set of Bridgestone BT016 rubber and had my suspension tuned for my weight and riding position. I runs strong and handles great. Couldn't be happier with it. Next thing will be a set of stainless brake lines

  • @Teshuler A friend of mine dropped his bike an inch and Handling made a big difference; in a negative way. I wish to have them Stainless Brake Lines one of this day.

  • 1600 a year, but I have one ticket. :) 92 in a 55

  • i have this 2008 and the insurance for me is like 1005 a year for i know that is worth it because if it gets stolen then the insurance covers it and the bike feels awesome.....so i don't care because its worth it every penny.

  • dead ass bro ? were do u live i only pay 150 a year well maybe cus its a 250

  • @wowcrazy70 sounds like you don't have full coverage and yeah, the zx 6r is a supersport so the insurance is about 1000. the 250r and the 650r are sport bikes. i have a 650r and i pay 400+ a yr partial coverage was around 150.

  • @msharksb nope i definetly have full coverage maybe its diferent were u live

  • @msharksb I personally know people who pay about $25.00 a month from State Farm. Currently have Geico and paying 10x more. Planing on switching as soon a possible to State Farm.

  • @HatenSuffering fuck state farm

  • Insurance on this bike is gonna be less than the 636 verision of the zx6r because the 36 extra cc's puts you in a whole other insurance bracket but its still not gonna be cheap at all, its a sportsbike c'mon. I think the 153 was per month, but I dont think a 16 year old would get insurance that cheap unless it was under your parents name.

  • lmfaoo true mines is 150 cus its in my pops name

  • to wareagle5693

i have this bike but its the 636cc version that was release in 2004, and i can tell you buddy, youl never see insurance that cheap. i got it when i was 19 and it was 1,346 a year if it was to be put down on me. i had to make a deal with my dad but yeah, if you get insurance that cheap your definitely breaking the law somhow.

  • Wareagle5693 - relax with the language. I think you forgot to add a Zero at the end of your $153_ per year. Thats the minimum youl pay. I have zx6RR, $153 per year?? aaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha. Get a education.

  • how much do you think insurance costs for one of these?

  • that depends on a lot....like where your bikes is stored and more importantly how old you are

  • say im 18, how would it be

  • Haha, I'm looking into getting a 250r which isn't to bad on the wallet as far as insurance goes as far as I hear, but i'm 16 and it would be in the driveway. haha, damn.

  • 10k

  • LOL, $153 a year, how about NOT. Its more like $4k a year for you.

  • Your 16 and your a squid , you cant even get 153 for a month , let alone a year ROFL. Go on and play you squid.

  • @46DOCTOR46 got to agree with you in the uk you cant ride that bike never mind get insurance if your 16 lol

  • @tervorj

im 19 just got a new kawasaki zx6r , with finance since im not rich, surprisingley i found insurance for £1700 third party only which is amazing compared to car insurance, i dont even have a no claim bonus, which is a bonus looooool

  • @kftkft sheeeesh 1700 big ones for 3rd party insurance bend over and pay up sport mines 190 fully comprehensive for a 636 ,be carefull if your bikes on finance you have to have comp insurance incase you drop it it gets paid to the finance company

  • @tervorj

well i know its a bit much, but i earn it in a week or so, so its not killing me or anything, and you must be old, how old are you, i checked the finance they said it was ok to have third party, but obviously i have to pay if i drop it, hey im not patient when it comes to bikes, im in love with them loool

  • @kftkft lol cheeky git anyway if you earned that kind of benjamins you would have bought the bike outright why would you say im old i started late 20s and have full no claims

  • @tervorj i know its not cheap but i earn "1700" big ones in a week or so, so its not killing me, and you must be really old how old are you?

and i found out its ok to have 3rd party, but obviously i have to pay if i drop it.

but i cant help it im not patient when it comes to bikes loool

  • @Wareagle5693 Interesting, I really wasn't aware that the 2609 model was out yet.

  • right..... more like 1000 dollars a year.

  • i have clips of kawasakis raceing check it out

  • Typical fake American Reviews! About as helpfull as anthrax snuff.

According to this shittycycle usa site, all the bikes are "bitchin" so buy them all? say what you feel and do a good review

  • so what u reccomend for motorcycle reviews?

  • Motorcycle News

  • thxs

  • All the motorcycle reviews seem contradictive.

  • Very true my friend. All I say as a zx6r owner is buy one as they are crazy. Flat out in 1st you will get over 80mph easy as it red lines at 17 and a half thousand rpm and has a max rev of 20k. NUTS

  • this review is so whatever

  • this is a nice bike. i know this is for the 08version, but i have an 07 model and its great. i used to ride mostly suzuki 750s and an occational 1000 in other models. i was very impressed by how it handled. the use of the slipper cluch did well when down shifting before and during each turn. all the things he said were right on. a very fun bike to ride in my opinion. it could use a lil more power, but thats what the p.commander and slip on or racing exhaust pipes are for. ;)

  • from all out of r1, zx-10r, gsx-r1000 and cbr 1000rr i think the honda is the ugliest one.. pity, cause normally i'm a honda fan.

in the style part i like the kawas best..

(and yes, i know that it's the 6r in this vid)

  • i wuz talkin bout the 600 class & i wuz talkin about the 2009 m0del itz straight up ugly... this is a 2008 m0del.. the 07 600rr looks the best if they had the silver & white one

  • xD too fun !! lets chat c my profile! a

  • what is a slipper clutch?

  • A slipper clutch allows you to downshift very fast to come into a corner as fast as possible without locking up the rear tire. The race bikes have been using them for years, but now the manufacturers are putting them on the street bikes. They work great!

  • thanx

  • Can anyone please PM your thoughts on the ER-6n, I'm getting my first bike in Dec. (I know, snow will be on the ground, and I don't even know if I'll get to ride it till spring, but my wife is getting it for my B-day gift)

  • well if you know anything about the ninja 650...its what i have..its pretty much the same bike just different style and i think its a great bike but i can't just ride i have to go fast and be able to really get the acc. but if its your first bike it will be a good choice...iv been riding for about 7 months now but im only 17 and im about to get an 08 zx6r and im pretty sure im ready for it so if you only want to ride and not feel the need to get a supersport i think its a great bike.

  • thx

  • Go to kawasaki's wbsite. The 09 looks really cool, the front end is kind of ugly ( similar to the new zx10. But the new zixxer lost 20 pounds!!! Plus kawasaki drasticly improved the zx6's already amazing low and midrange power! check out the monster edition :)

  • hey i got a 2008 zx6r lime green.

  • ive got an 05 ZX6R 636 for sale 5500obo check it out at

    flickr . com/photos/29357516@N02

    pittsburgh.

  • beasley1987 Zx6r

  • hey i got a 2005 ZX6R anyone know where i can get the 2008 lime green rims for my bike, or do those rims not fit on my bike?

  • Well said "Mortdoddy"...very true.

  • Zx6r or gsxr 600? i can't make up my damn mind

  • zx6r is more for the track, less confy yo! still both bikes hawls ass

  • pick the one which you think looks better or the brand you like most cause when it comes down to it, the preformance of these bikes are quite similar and more often then not the rider will make the differance.

  • zx6r has 636 cc gsxr has only 600... id pick the zx6r... who cares its not that comfy it looks good and performs great...

  • The ZX6 636 was discontinued in 2006. They have 599 cc's again.

  • aww that sucks...

  • Yeah, my buddy has an '05 and he is gonna keep it till it dies. Much like most people that bought one.

  • go get a gsxr 750 if you want bigger displacement, without stepping up to a litre, didurmom2... That bike's carved a nice nitch for itself. For Kawi to have a zx6-rr & a street production zx6-636 kind of shot them in the foot.. why even bother trying to professionally compete? Unless it was just to buy time for the return of the 599's?

  • i dont like the look of the gsxr kawasakis look nicer...

  • What are you talking about dude? the 636 it's has been discontinue since 2007

  • can wait to get my 2003 ninja zx6rr saturday

  • i hear you mate, picked my 2003 ninja up a couple of weeks ago. It dont half shift if you keep the revs up! A new bike is always exciting, just push it gradually or it'll catch you out push you - really hard into a tree!!!

  • everyone gets a gsx-r 600 so get a damn zx6r, I have one and it is f'in BAD.

  • In my opinion, the 04 version 636 looked much better. I dk what happened to the zx10 either, its got the worse look ever, though it outperforms theother 1000cc japs

  • omg! that's one heck of a bike ! i love it =D

  • Shit, choosing between a ZX-6R, a GSXR-600, and a CBR600RR next summer is going to be hard...

  • Go with the Honda. You will not be disappointed. CBR build quality and handling is out of this world. A bit more pricey than some others, but so worth it.

  • man fuck honda. Its alright but, dont tell somebody to buy a honda. He may not even like that brand of bike. That would be like me telling somebody to buy a 4 cylinder camaro.

  • kawa rulzzz

  • Thats right

  • Its all about the kawasaki.

    Yamaha is sweet also.

    Ninja owns.

  • man, that green looks different in all kinds of lighting, its crazy

  • I got the this bike about 3 months ago and I already have 4000 miles on it! BEST BIKE I'VE OWNED YET. I got the black on black version and I put the two bros exhaust. From the start? I am neck and neck with my boys who own R1's and ZX10R's up to about 130 mph. Everyone I race is like WOAH when they see it do it's thing. LOVE IT!!!!

  • this bikes a beast was on the back of one 2day ;)

  • "Bike's bitcin'..but uh..." XDDD

  • AWESOME!! I love Kawasaki...

  • Kawasaki is the best.

    Thats right.

  • I vote this bike on any "no long straights and alot of turns" track. Older ZX7R's are pretty sweet still. I also enjoy a Z1000 with this bikes front end, brakes, and clip-ons. They all own, BLEED KAWASAKI FOR LIFE.

  • EVERYone is being considerate and hospitable to you over your brother's death, and you sass them back like that? What would your brother think? You're sure putting a good name for him out there.

Stop ruining our fun. Look up shit on Youtube -you- will enjoy rather than looking at shit that'll only piss everyone else off.

  • i want this bike so bad!

but with my very little experience i dont think I'd feel confident on it, so gotta get a lil ninja =\

  • Same here, bud. I have no experience at all. I won't go higher than getting a 600, and I'll be at that range for a looooong time.

  • they should have used a single guy to test the bikes.. The review would have been more consistant..

  • My condolences to you and your family, I hope that none of us have to go through that, but honestly, you can die from slipping on the shower and breaking your neck. The risk of death is always here, we enjoy our lives to the fullest, and responsible riders don't put other lives than their own at risk. YOU, as a car driver, must pay attention to the road all the time, so that when you see one of US, you don't do what that person did to your bro. Again, I understand your pain, but it's our choice.

  • Nothing you or anyone says will stop people from doing what they want...cars are just as dangerous.

  • man evrybody can do what he want, this is my life and i can do what i want, i know this is risk but its so fucking good

  • I am sorry to hear that you lost your brother, I have a brother myself, and couldnt imagine losing him. You are right, unfortunatley you cant stop people from doing what they want, thats free will. My bro wants to get a bike and as much as I like bike's, I dont want him to get hurt, but I cant stop him or control what he does. I am so sorry to hear that you had to go through that man. Take care and keep your head up.

  • Hey, man, I am sorry to hear of your loss; that's hard. Getting all pissed off ain't going to get anyone ahead, stupid drivers are a fact of life. If it ain't some dumb ass rich kid in a benz, its a fucking corporate-yuppie type in a hummer. People ought to be more responsible in what they drive & how they drive, but they aren't. It wasn't it your brothers fault, and that's not your fault. Protecting people in A8's might make sense, until the common man has to pay. I am sorry for your loss.

  • sad to hear about your bro but cmon trying say that motorcycles are a piece of shit? man get that shit out off hear!!

  • srry extra f.

  • man quit ur bitchin boi go mourn for ur dead bro offline, we tryn to enjoy ourselves here!

  • You should stop searching for bike videos on You-Tube if they upset you man - look for something more your style & try to enjoy life instead of getting angry.

  • i own a bike myself and its true that young people have a rush for speed. i did too but fortunatly I had an accident which made me more careful. I still love speed but now I know when where. there is a lot of things that can get you killed. even the government sends you to face death when you join the military. so my advice is do what you love, be careful and think about your family because is something happens, is them not you who would take all the pain of it.

  • dude you only live once so ride fast but be really carefull... have fun... cause you never know what might happen

  • Hunter Thompson said faster, faster, faster...until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death :)

Bikes rock. :) Any riders in houston ???

  • the "bikes bitchin"... har dee har har.. lol!

  • According to motousa's review, the ZX-6R makes the least power of the big 4's supersports this year, but it also is the only one to pass exhaust db law in the US. Make me think that it's exhaust must be pretty restrictive. I ended up looking up information on it, and some guy on a forum added a PCIII and an Akrapovic full system and a high perf filter and the ZX-6R cranked out 114.7hp with out being tuned (more hp than the 2008 R6). I just thought this info might make the review a little fairer.

  • its true that the exhaust is big and heavy, but to the average rider like me, who I proudly own one, that power is enough to go fast as hell. also there is a simple mod inside that realises at least 6 more hp puting it on par with the competition sometimes more just by doing this. the computer switches to europe version. i got mine because i love the way it looks. bikes this day are really at the same level,

  • a 600ccm can own a gsx-1300 turbo.. just depends on the track ;)

  • hmm well i have one and pretty sure you can feel all 180 horse.....

  • Whats funny is I'm absolutely positive you've never rode one in your life

  • kawasaki has always been my favorite

  • More info...what was quartermile times?

  • Look at teh moobs

  • Your videos blow.

  • the first guy was kind of funny the "bikes bitchin"

  • like the color.

  • that is a preety sweet bike

  • dont know why they sound so scared too tell us about the disadvantages, that what people want to know otherwise we can hear a sweet talk about the bike from the manufacturer!!!

  • you took the words out of my mouth this review sucks all they say is what is good

  • Maybe you can assume then, that anything they didn't mention was good, is lacking.

  • But yeah, I agree...forgot to mention.

  • "bars low, pegs high" there's a street disadvantage as well as a comfort disadvantage. he also mentions there being a good midrange, and if my experience on the 07 was any clue, the top end left a little to be desired on the track.

  • super sick...sexy
