The justice system when it comes to prison makes no sense at all. We send predators to prison and only end up teaching them to become better predators!

This is TRULY sad. TRULY. Let it be known that i don't condone the practice of homosexuality or changing of the gender. I think that it IS wrong. Still, for ANY human to be persecuted because they feel that they are miserable within the body they were born in is MORE WRONG!!! They are still human. Still have feelings...and who are we as other humans to dictate what their fate should be? It's not our job to judge or punish others because they don't conform to our beliefs! What the hell's going on

This is just heartbreaking and horrible. Prison reflects very badly on society, it does not really solve anything, it just destroys the human spirit and makes damaged violent people even more destructive and dangerous. You cant torment and torture someone for a long period of time and assume that it will somehow solve something.

IM an Australian transexual and we now get to go to a female prison even if we have not undergone SRS ......... 10 years ago before this law was passed my best friend KATH was placed into a male prison and was raped......the next day she hung herself !!! USA needs to move with the times.......LISA

The Gov. doesn't give crap in what the "people" for see anything, the Gov. wants money; nothing can change from that. And its b.s. the jail don't give crap about anything, and its DUMB!

I'm not a tg/ts but I am a lesbian, people get bullied or treat differently. We're all people, we're all human beings, we live in diff. cultures and have diff. religions, but we all have a heart to care for one another! (Sorry for my English, I'm working on improving ^^ )

Segregation has been proven over and over to cause great damage to the brain. With nothing to do people's brain function goes drastically down and they will slowly start to go insane... To do this to someone no matter what they have down or who they are is cruelty. I would never do it to an animal, much less a person. It's like a mental illness production line. Horrifying. I can not believe the strength of these women!

This is tragic... can hardly imagine what happens to those trans people who AREN'T segregated and probably raped/abused by other prisoners or even prison admin... and imagine if their hormone treatment just WEARS OFF... poor people.
