JAPAN EXPO Paris will open within 48 hours!!!!!stop exhibiting fake kendo, korean Haidong Gumdo!!!!

    watch?v=hix9SGnUz58 english

    watch?v=tVJOcwPprVo french

  • @sakura0jp0aikidodesu Please. Koreans styles DID originate from karate but guess what they used the same concept but build something BETTER.

  • @Ko878MBat

Not better. Different. Karate has also evolved. And sometimes evolution isn't better. One isn't BETTER than the other.

  • cool thanks alot

  • My Kung Fu can defeat Miss Kicks who counts wrong! Right Batman?!?!?

  • @rube814 to hell with your kung fu, my taekwando can beat it lol jk man :)

  • @rube814 you need more koong fu

  • Isn't 2 Dool not "Tool" ?

  • Couldn't you also go to the gym?

  • this was intense..

  • she said two wrong in Korean

  • @minity97 yeh shes 'mixing up' her styles lmao, 1 in korean, 2 in english

  • I love you cute feet.

  • @SlipknotTribute

Of course. In his movie, Enter the Dragon, he and his sensei talk about the highest technique; this is "to have no technique."

Which may very well be a core idea of Jeet Kun Do. If you have no technique, your opponent won't be able to predict your actions.

  • @darken27 indeed. the concept of it all. not all what you try to learn and know

  • @darken27 this is the wuwei concept of taoism and not jeet kune do. jeet kune do don't even exist. how could exist a style that is not a style? it is just philosophy. you must learn before you have to forget.

  • @daimyosama Jeet Kune Do does exist. So I don't know what you're talking about there.

Maybe it's similar to Wuwei Taoism, but I can't say much there, since I haven't really researched that. And you are right about it being a philosophy; however, that's true about all styles of martial arts. Without philosophy, it's just working out and learning flashy moves. But it's a style, nonetheless. It's all about learning to be formless and adaptive.

  • 0:45........nuff said

  • @DreDre2411 shes old as hell....

  • Not to be critical - just a recommendation. Do this excersize without the aid of the wall. You can build strength in all of the controlling muscles that maintain balance. Most notably, your calves.

Either way, very nice flexibility and control shown here.

  • you should say 'duool' not 'tul' in korean

  • @Lee7676 actually its both at the same time not dool, or tool, but a combination of the sounds.

  • very difficult.

  • Tang SOO!

  • Tang soo do is in fact primitive form of TKD. I don't really know if it has nowadays a head school in Korea. Anybody knows?

  • @alebariloche

    lol ok man. retard

  • @alebariloche south korea dont hve tang soo do school anymore.all tang soo do school becomes taekwondo school. korean taekwondo, tangsoodo came from japanese shotokan karate. in japanese 空手道,唐手道 all sounds ka'ra'te'do

in korean ,kong soo do,tang soo do.when korean masters for tang soo do dont want to join the new WTF,government torture them and he will become homeless.taekwondo, yoo do,hapkido hwa rang do, so on all came from japanese arts.

  • man she knows what shes doing

  • this woman is strong

  • @iceboss226

    So is her vagina.

  • What is the point of butchering 1 2 3 in korean when you can easily say it in english...

  • @dyc523 in tang soo do we count and we use the commands in korean to keep the tradition and learn korean. in my class we have a class name systema de combate or combat system and we count,& use comands in spanish so we learn something new not just english

  • Seriously! You're a dumb keeunt. No upper case letters, again. You fail you uneducated know-it-all.

  • How many people ride a shortbus to get to your school?

  • in my TKD school we call these slow kick

  • ura mawashigeri

  • I haven't seen that video. I was basing it on this one.

  • She must not be very flexible cause she kept scooting her foot away from the wall so that she could lean to get her foot that high. cheater.

  • She is very flexible. I seen her hyungs (forms) and she has outstanding kicks!

  • I'm throwing up

  • Isn't this a back wheel kick?

  • You should use your hips just a little bit more as well...

  • hi all just to let the people that asked about the uniform (dobok) it is from the world tang soo do association and the art has been around longer than tkd

  • Not much power in the kick, very likely to cause no damage if it connects. A telegraphing kick, easy to step inside of it and sweep a leg. Best left for show and not fight.

  • What kick are you referring to she did 2 of them.

  • wow you don't know what you're talking about look at bill wallace he used this kick all the time

  • Wow Ginger, learn some upper case letters and punctuation you dumb twit!

  • seriously? your come back is i have bad punctuation.

  • what is that uniform? it isnt either a ITF or WTF taekwondo uniform... so... what kind of thiefe are you?

  • The title sais its Tang Soo Do which is a korian sister art to Taekwondo, but is a whole other art in its essance. The uniforme is UTF, United Tang Soo Do Federation.

  • nice ^+^

  • spin hook kicks with out the spin?

  • We have been doing this on mon & Thurs nights classes, and can tell you they are VERY hard. We do them for about 2 mins on each type of kick.

  • don't you hook thier head, and not thier ass? she needs too get her foot up

  • actually, a hook kick can be used efficiently in many heights, very low it can be a footsweep, to the thigh, back, and neck if you can get that high is great too, depending on the situation.

  • the pronunciation for two in korean (tul) is dul.

  • this is heapchu...? in taekwondo? i dont like technique....soo back do / tang so do

  • Oh, yeah..plz do this in a fight...it will soon turn into a very nice fuck, baby.

  • Hey KElly

What do you mean with ,, starting with Biofeedbak.. at least I heard that,, but I do not get the application or meaning of that.

    Thks for the answer

  • Anyone notice that she actually had strong legs. She may have used wall for balance but she had her leg up high for extended period of time with good control.

  • 3 Black Belts? Perhaps you earned them online at a belt mill. You must of not learned very much from them. You lack discipline and respect. Perhaps you were taught by hot heads or maybe you're just hot headed.

The only difference between TSD and TKD is really politics. They are really about the same. TSD is more traditional though.

You shouldn't judge styles by watching videos. Things are altered for the camera. Better to train at a school.

  • Hahaha probably bought them on ebay

  • You have a very low understanding of martial arts.

  • Comment removed

  • Two things: you didn't train in TSD, you trained under an instructor. You need to make a distinction between Tang Soo Do and a person who teaches it. This is analogous to being taught to shoot a basketball by a self proclaimed basketball expert. Picking up the ball, shooting it, missing the hoop, and then saying basketball sucks because you were taught by someone else to throw a football better.

  • Oh my, three black belts. That makes you an expert, doesn't it? The fact that you were given a piece of cloth for learning what your instructor taught you is pretty intense my friend. Congratulations.

  • ive taken both their very alike i bet u dont even know shit about martial arts and yes she might be bad at it but it dosent mean tang soo do suck just her

  • I've been looking into the different styles lately, and it seems to me like Muay Tai is the easiest to get good at fast, while Kung Fu is the outright best after mastering it; Karate is like middle of the way in all categories.... but then again, it really is all up to the individual, Jackie chan would kick my butt no matter what type he and i used....

  • J0E - As a Tang Soo Do practitioner for most of my life, I will say that Taekwondo is very similar, because it is a descendant art. Tang Soo Do does involve a lot of kicks, but lots of hand techniques as well. As for what art is best - they all came about because they all have their own advantages, and a real master in any art will be able to hold their own against a master of another art. In this way, in my opinon, there really is no "best" art. Keep in mind some !schools are better than others

  • I will also say, though, if you do choose one art, do not be afraid to learn from others as well. One thing I certainly recommend is no matter what art you try, try to learn shaolin style energy control. The effects are suprising.

  • shaolin is the art that I have the most respect for; if used properly, you are pretty much untouchable, it's some pretty sick stuff... most likely that only because of the pure amount of effort and practice put into it though...

  • don't know a lot about tang soo do, but it seems to me to be a bit like tae kwon do... more focussed on kicking than anything else... incidentally, I happen to know a good bit of my friends who are blackbelts in tae, and they all say the same thing.. it's more or less useless in actual fights... the kicks tend to put you off balance, and you end up being vulnerable to atack, rather than attacking... ESPECIALLY if your opponent knows what he's doing....

  • agreed, butterfly kick in a fight is just asking to be put on your back. most i went in a street fight was a flying knee or spinning sidekick nothing too fancy.

  • you need mussel or what are you going to do if you need to fight for your life....You can't bump someone if their killing you XD

  • I know. That's why fancy kicks are best saved for sparring. XD

If someone is trying to kill you, just use the basics. They're easier to execute, and they're much more powerful.

  • agreed, in a fight where it's do or die, you should use every technique strongly and efficiently, and not worry about how "fancy" your choice of technique is. a simple front kick to the gut and front punch is better than a high round kick to the face, spinning kicks, and boxing with the dude :)

  • Yeah.

But I wouldn't really say a roundkick is a 'fancy' move. I consider it pretty basic, along with the front and side kicks.

I guess it's more of an experience thing. If you've been doing a certain kick for years, it becomes a natural impulse. When you get into a situation, you don't think as clearly, so you throw out whatever you're used to. In some styles, it's taught that you haven't started to get good at a move until you've executed it at least 10,000 times.

  • yea, a roundkick isn't really "fancy", but what I was getting at more was the height. If you can kick real high, good for you, you have something not many have, but it doesn't help in a real situation unless it's a strong kick.

I think that's true to some extent actually, about the 10,000 times thing. some people are more natural than others, but there's truth to it.

  • Exactly xD

"I fear not the man who practices 1000 kicks, but the man who practices one kick 1000 times." - Bruce lee

  • thats why anicent arts are better suited they are made to take the oppenant out as quickly as possible regardless of style. my Master calls this movies star arts

  • @darken27 tkd ftw.

  • @1337Chucks

    **Martial arts for the win.

Taekwondo is great; but to be a true martial artist, one must not restrict himself to a single style. One must pursue his or her own technique, which is personal and unique; a technique which must be developed through compilation of effective styles, suited to the individual. This requires training and knowing multiple styles, and spans the course of one's life, and spiritual journey.

  • @darken27 lol i dunno man, what you're saying to my understanding comes from bruce lee's philosophy of jeet kun do (jkd being the style of a 'true martial artist' is debatable). Me, coming from a chinese background always learnt that 'you should only go one path, or you will be confused' ._. i agree to an extent that i should probably explore other martial arts, but try not to learn too much at once, e.g. learning both tkd and muay thai kicks as a noob in both can confuse you in a real fight :P

  • @1337Chucks

In my opinion, no style is a style for a "true martial artist," except for the style that one creates for himself. In every martial art, there are things that work, and do not work for each and every individual. For example, Jeet Kun Do is essentially a compilation of the techniques that were effective for Bruce Lee.

And, of course, you are also right about avoiding confusion. Only once one has gained an understanding of one style, should he progress to another.

  • @darken27

Nice just how it should be

  • @darken27 did you get that out of a movie or something?

  • @paikseunghun

Those are my own words, but they are essentially the same as Bruce Lee's philosophies of Jeet Kun Do, in that great martial artists have no style but what they create for themselves through years of training. I haven't looked into his concepts a lot myself, but it's been pointed out to me that the theories I've discussed about technique resemble Lee's teachings. I would recommend looking into it; I'm certain it's a fountain of great knowledge.

  • @darken27

Well said. One of the reasons Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do was so effective was that it was unorthodox. Techniques that are unique to a martial artist make them extremely hard for their opponent to determine where to block, parry, ect. This of course can be applied in a visa versa scenario. You sir, get a thumbs up.

  • @darken27 you have much to learn young one...

  • @smithiy69

That I do. But there's always much to learn.

  • @darken27 nice essay fgt

  • @rush2905 Nice trolling, troll. :)

  • I liked TSD, but the whole thing with remembering Korean I found was deep. 'deep' as in, I wanted to learn martial arts, not so much cared for all the strict ritual and language i had to learn. Yes, I'm a yank so chalk it up to being an impatient american so I ended up doing Muay Thai and then started kicking bootays

  • i make tang soo do 4 over 6 years and im nearly a master in this, and this guide is bullshit

    greez from germany

  • yeah isn't it funny that everyone who comments on these martial arts vids seems to be an expert.

PS your grammar is sketchy to say the least..

PPS im not a fan of Jens Lehmann

  • uhm... 6 years is no where near enough time to become a master... and fyi.. all she's talking about is holding kicks to build muscle. how is that bullshit?

  • she doesn't have underware

  • @mirfat200 you dont know that

  • @mirfat200 Whaaaaaaatttt!!!! Had to look twice.

  • @mirfat200 How do you spell underwear wrong?

  • also this can be performed on the floor

  • Thank you for the demonstration. But cand you tell me how much time does it take to make this kick. I practice my side kick on the wall like that 20 or 40 times per day. I also do it with the round kick. But the problem is that I can't do my side kick high enough to make the hook kick. How can I practice it?

  • please be aware that if you cant make a kick high then that is okay, you will get more flexible during your training and it will develop into a higher kick, just remeber to work on your technique, and always remember that a lower kick is a more powerful kick, keep practicing practicing and practice some more after that. Tang Soo!

  • She is a natural teacher.

  • I improved my hook kick ,thank you Kelly.

    ps.

I find you kind a sexy

  • i'm a second degree black belt in TSD. my family and i moved and now my dad and i teach at a school we started. i haven't had much time to train myself and so i've been needing to improve my leg muscle strength. thanks for posting this video! i'm glad i saw it.
