my personal suggestion is HELIX LAUNCHER (1 or 2) available from the Market. It's free, and gives you up to 7 screens

I noticed how many apps and other add ons you have on your droid. I was was wondering if you have rooted it or something to accommodate for all the storage space. As of right now, i have a bare minimum of apps and barely have any internal memory to do anything. i was wondering if you had any sort of insight as to the memory delmia. Thanks

@philreeper no. im not rooted in ANY of the videos i've put up. I have rooted my phone before, but it honestly doesn't help with memory. I do use a program called Advanced Task Killer, and every so often use that to kill any background processes. Other than that, no-I haven't done anything extra to expand my phones ROM (short term application memory.)

One thing you can do, is use ASTRO File Manager to back up your apps to your SD card, and install them from there. Just a thought.

Click Helix Launcher, and you're good. If you wanna adjust how many screens you have-hit the Menu key, and Configure.

@Kennykiel *sigh* okay, so in this video im reviewing a couple different applications ripped from the Nexus One. the OFFICIAL 2.1 update doesnt have the 3D scroller or more screens.

if you want those features, theres an app i did another video on, called HELIX LAUNCHER. It will give you the five home screens. The beta of Helix Launcher 2 (dont download the market version), also gives the 3D App Drawer effect.

@nafyboy13 i would reccomend download Helix Launcher from the Market. It's free, and it gives you up to seven screens (just no 3D App Drawer. :(). DO NOT TOUCH HELIX LAUNCHER 2, because its for the NexusOne only. They are working on a beta of Helix Launcher 2 for the Droid-which I'm currently running and you can download from their website. It's nice, a little buggy-but nice. Hence the term, BETA. It gives you the fancy dancy 3D app drawer, plus a nice little look.

1) go to the Market, and install Helix Launcher

2) once downloaded, click the Home key, and when prompted, select Helix Launcher.

3) click menu, and configure. from there you can set the number of screens (1-7)

4) restart..and voila..you're done. You now have up to 7 screens, all for free.

1) download the Launcher 2 (2.1 Launcher) from droidlife, its buggy as hell, especially in landscape mode

2) go to market, and look up CyanogenMod Launcher. It's the same thing, but not buggy. It isn't free though, it's $1.99-but well worth it becaue Koush does an AMAZING job with his custom ROMS.

to get the five screens and "new look" launcher, download HelixLauncher from the Android Market. (Not Helix2. its for the Nexus One only and will fuck up your phone)

I do have the new Music, Maps, Calculator and Gallery though...did you do something special? Everything looks the same except for the new features, but I really want the 5 homescreens (so helpful)

Hope it doesn't suck. read some reviews online and it has a sucky battery and the E button doesnt work.. the back that holds the battery falls off alot.. so who knows...

my e button works fine...as does everyone else's. i have NO idea where you heard that from.

the battery door issue with the Droid was resolved within a shipment or two. most people never had an issue with it.

Battery life will last you a solid 10-12 hour work day. Again, it varies on use. PDA / Smartphones are expected to only last a day at best. Expect to chare it nightly.

I'll be getting the Droid probably next week. It came down to the AT&T's iPhone or the V's Droid. Both phones seem to be pretty awesome. But then I had to find out what the deposit would be for somebody with no credit history. AT&T told me 500.00. Verizon told me 125.00. That pretty much settled it lol. I'll be leaving AT&T for the V. Can't wait to get my hands on that Droid! BTW, is there a live streaming app? Like an app that allows the person to stream a live video to the internet? Just askin

Color led: I use an app called handcent sms for my text messaging. In the settings u can change the led flash color.

News widget: yeah I added the wrestling channel. Under settings hit add channel and u can add custom channels.

thanks for all your help man but I downloaded an app thats called led scroller and I set the color to red but when I get text and alerts etc. the flashing color is still green like it is usually (i wanna change it to blink all colors if possible or red)

you have to go into the individual program and set the notification color. the Default messaging app doesn't allow this, so I would suggest downloading Handcent SMS. It's a nicer, more feature rich messaging app, that does allow you to change the LED color in the settings menu.

i have both, and the Motorola blows the HTC out of the water. It's worth the extra 100 bucks-because its newer software, bigger screen, more memory, more RAM, better touch screen, better reciever, FREE NAVIGATION, and such.

i also know alot of people with the Eris, who love it and wouldnt switch to the Droid...so like I said, to each their own.

actually the Nexus One doesn't have flash natively. There is no Adobe flash plug in for Android yet, just Flash Lite / HTML5.

but yes. the DROID (and Eris, and N1, and MyTouch, and all the high end Android phones) will be recieving an upgrade to include Flash 10.1 this quarter
