  • i agreee with your last statement for the japanese rivalry. It was in 80s. i remember sitting on my dad's lap while watching. also thai and koreans.

  • Pancho Villa was champion in the age where there were only ONE belt for each weight class. EVERYONE knew who he was because of this. he was also tight with jack demspey and mickey walker. He lived and reigned in the Golden age of boxing. random fact he was one of roberto durans childhood heroes. Total fights 104 Wins 92 Wins by KO 24 Losses 8 Draws 4 and he did this all when he was only 23. This guy is an epic G. Sadly, only the great die young...

  • My only TOP 4: 1)PACQUIAO for being 8 Div. World Champ; Best Boxer of the Decade; n Greatest Asian Boxer of All Time; 2) PANCHO VILLA for being the 2nd Greatest Asian Boxer of All Time; Rank 59 by Ring Magazine as Worlds Greatest Boxers in the last 80 Yrs.3) FLASH ELORDE being Rank 79 by Ring Magazine as World's Greatest Boxers in the last 80 Yrs; longest World Jr. LW Div. Champ in Boxing history for 7 1/2 yrs. & defended it 9x. 3) DONAIRE for being 3 Div. World Champ.

  • I think you forgot 122lbs Pacquiao destroyed the supposedly south african superstar in the making but Pacquiao took his WBA belt in his nose, his name Ledwaba remember?

  • @RainheartIsobel Actually it was the IBF belt. Not sure which context we are speaking, but if I didn't mention that belt it was probably because I was recounting the LINEAR or original 8 weight class titles Pacquiao has won. 122 is not one of the original 8 nor was that title the linear one in that division. It's been a long time since I watched this video.

  • @boxinginfo yeah its IBF my bad, i watch the BIOGRAPHY of Pacquiao his story is so inspiring, i don't know if you see it but its simply amazing how he achieve of what he achieved.

  • @boxinginfo who are you? are you a filipino? how could you rate our filipino boxing heroes while you dont have a heart of being a filipino? in your conclusions about how great they are? your explanations seems to me a meer shallow barometers,, what formula do you follow to conclude who are our best boxers ever? what are the bases for being on your top 5 great boxers ever? do you know how much Elorde and Pacquioa means to promote on where our boxing status in the world today?

  • actually Pancho Villa wasn't 25 he was 23 when he died. He had over 100 fights by the age of 22...

  • now i know that we a lot filipinos great boxer,,,thanks for info

  • Man, hat off to you. You really know boxing history. I have witnessed the 70's up to the present and I did not know I would still learn things from you even when it was about Filipino boxers. Thanks.

  • hmmm... our list are almost identical..

it also have some facts about them..

    /watch?v=DNjUddg6Nrs

  • Lovely stuff, mate. Would agree that Pacquiao has done enough to secure top spot now (and that goes for the whole of Asia). I'd have a top five of Pacquiao, with Villa and Elorde tied for second / third place (can't split them!), with fourth spot going to Garcia and fifth place to Espinosa. Near misses would be Dado, Donaire and Navarette. Might seem a bit generous to tie Elorde with Villa, but Elorde did a wonderful job of reviving the 130 lb divisions and held his own with Saddler, no less.

  • i think pacquiao number 1 and villa 2

  • I agree that Villa was the greatest of all time, but come on Ryoy Jones Jr didn't win anything because he never fought Lennox Lewis. John Ruiz are you kidding me.

  • yes, mr.boxinginfo..you mentioned it in this video"THIS WAS CLOSE to number 1"-apr2009-before hatton-cotto-clottey-maragarito.. and manny has 6BELTS hrere..your video is very good..i agreed.. but 2011, i would say, manny is the number 1 now with 8belts.. ^_^ peace and happy new year..

  • This is really helpful, I'm a 19 years old Filipino kid living in Canada and i really love boxing. I hardly knew the greatest filipino boxers. you're really helping us out here specially us filipino kids/adults these days they only know Manny Pacquiao. thanks a lot.

  • @whatineedisbeer You are very welcome. And I did this video especially for that reason TWICE. The 1st time was in 2007 before Manny elevated his game to another level.

In regards to Pancho Villa, all one has to do is look at his record on boxrec to see how special he was, b/c he died before his 25th birthday and I have my doubts that most current boxers today will ever have that many fights their entire careers.

  • @whatineedisbeer now u can be proud and say we are not boxing followers bcoz of pacquiao, we have a long history in boxing and still we are very passionate into it...we have evolved in the sport and now we have the greatest boxer of all time...

  • Boxinginfo what is ur take on Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather if the fight ever happens...break it down...

  • Thanks for the video. It's very informative. I enjoyed watching it.

  • hi mr.boxinginfo i'm just curious...are you some kind of a boxing geek...it seems you know everything about boxing?

  • @errollawrence I don't know everything, only God does.

  • @boxinginfo . i agree bout that

  • Lets just face it.

People of the world were not ready for what Pacquiao had under his sleeve. He took the world of boxing by storm and was just progressing too fast!!!

  • Now that Pacquiao has beaten Cotto, is he now no. 1 on the list? I'd say a tie for #1 with Pancho Villa. It's hard to downgrade Pancho considering that he had over 100 fights at age 24. Wow!! Those are Sugar Ray Robinson numbers.

  • @Prophet2525 he would have had more fights if not for his death but you have to remember fighters during those times fought as much as every two weeks.

  • hey!!!! why not give doddie boy penalosa a spot......bieng a champ dispite of his

handycap,,,,,,the guy has a big heart......

  • paquiao is great but pancho is very great!!!

  • did you know??... francisco "pancho villa" guilledo is the first asian world boxing champion!!!... so great!!!...

  • @SmokinDatBruceBanner suck mine gay boy

  • nice top 5! keep up the good work. pancho villa was only 24 and he has already 109 fights under his belt, shame he died so young he could have fight a lot more

  • donaire's career will surpass espinosa and panalosa for sure

  • blah blah blah blah~ xD

everyone can rise but will someday fall...

but their achievements and legacy will always be remembered~

so who is the greatest now? xD

  • No one can make a Filipino Boxer look stupid up in the ring except another Filipino Boxer. Respect to all Pinoy Boxers...Peace

  • 5. Ceferino Garcia

    4. Luisito Espinosa

    3. Gabriel 'Flash' Elorde

    2. Francisco "Panco Villa" Guilledo

    1. Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao

Two years ago, I ranked Pacquiao at number 2, behind Pancho Villa, but he's improved so much since then, and now his resume is better. I still think that Pancho Villa was the greater boxer, but he died so young and had so much un-tapped potential. We may never know who's better, but Pacquiao deserves the spot for now. If only Pancho could have lived for another decade.

  • @RaynardAlcampor yeah but you forgot to mention that he is on roids and that is somthing u cannot deny

  • @b0dmonn

Not really. It's just hard for people to accept we actually have one of the greats living in our era. Also it all started off some baseless accusations. That's something you can't deny. Ignorant prick.

  • show some froof asshole!

mayweater uses xylocaine and that's a fact...keep riding on his dick despite of his arrogance...and hey,he's involve in a shoot out which he denied...mayweeders are a buch of liars indeed.

  • too bad he gets more pussy than u

  • how come?i ain't no pussy,he ian't no pussy...nice try but you're wrong again.u and gayweather are both bigger than pussy.deal with it

  • ur fucking retarded, ur prob asian which means u have a three inch penis so have fun with your life FAG

  • nah!gay talk.i'm talking about boxing.i bet you sucked an asian's cock..3 inch?how unfotunate you are..don't worry try to find a bigger one, they realy are not the same, bitch...you typical false accusers...IDIOT!...

    suck you uncircumcised dick.

  • funny cuz i already fucked ur dad so that makes u gay for watching

  • @b0dmonn you cretin.... youre so dumb you cant spell dumb.... fool

  • This video was posted april 2009, which is before Pacquiao beat Hatton and Cotto, so I

think if he would remake this video he would

say that Manny is the greatest Filipino boxer

    of all time.

  • hey dude

    um...pacquiao is rly the greatest

cuz it doesn't mean that he wins 92 fights he's the greatest

itz how many titles that u had

  • @emotionaL2533

    You don't know shit.

  • @emotionaL2533 no bullshit hes on roids

  • yeah Pancho Villa is great...won at least 92 wins before he died at 24...wooo great...~

  • LONG LIVE 2 PANCHO VILLA..HIS THE 1st. pilipino BOXER WHO STEP IN THE LAND OF U.S TO FIGHT AND PRISENT THE COUNTRY...PHILIPPINES..LONG LIVE THE 5 BOXER....MABUHAY TAYO MGA PINOY..SPECIALY THE PAMBANSANG KAMAO MANNY PACMAN PACQUIAO!!!

  • I would agree that manny is comparable to the greats in boxing world which include oscar dela hoya, roberto duran, sugar ray leonard, ali, etc., But while manny is superb, let's not forget other great filipino boxers who ushered the country into the world ring. With over 100 fights before dying at age 23 as a world champion, Pancho Villa inspired Filipinos to follow his footsteps. Calling him "loser" him is a great disrespect to the person.

  • @villgon2000 agreed.

  • are you nuts??pancho villa the greaTESt filipino boxer???hahahaha...you dont know what your talking about..a greatest fighter is the one who can defy your limits as a boxer and a fighter....AND ONLY MANNY``PACMAN`` PACQUIAO DOES DO ALL OF THAT...IN SEVEN WEIGHT DIVISIONS..NO ONE HAS EVER DID THAT..EVEN THAT PANCHO LOSSER VILLA THAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT...YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT OLD MAN//......MANNY IS THE GREATEST ALL TIME FILIPINO BOXER EVER..IN THE PHILIPPINES AND IN THE WORLD...

  • you don't know pancho villa..do your research..I agree to you that Manny Pacquiao is the greatest..but I pity you..You don't know anything about boxing.. by the way. Im a Filipino. You might think I'm some kind of foreigner or what..

  • dirtyharry's comments are wastes my friend..he knows only talking not boxing..don't waste u'r time to this moron..

  • You don't know anything about boxing history. Thats why you do not understand this topic. =)

You don't know how to appreciate achievements of other boxers.

  • maybe u'r the one who don't knows what boxing..am not against you buddy but i think u go back to school and learn to understand what people are saying..u'r telling me of boxing history..looya nimu oi..feeling sueto..okoy ka..bay..

  • this guy is talking before the hatton fight..

pancho villa has 94 wins at the age of 24.how was that?...

you can rank manny as number 1 now after beating, hatton and cotto.don't be an idiot...tingnan mo nga muna kung kelan nya sinabi yan.

  • i thought pancho villa died at age 23 with 108 fights?

  • nice video and info, i'm also a fan of luisito espinosa one of the greats

  • Great Info and Great vid!

  • That was a very good post boxinginfo, insightful and interesting to watch.

  • The Thing Is PACQUAIO WON!!!! Even in the First Fight.... 10-7 in a 3 Knock down play???? such an idiot judge.....

  • Great information! I appreciated it!

  • Its kind of hard for me to realize just how much Pancho Villa had as far as legacy goes because hes way before my time, but I dont understand why he's number 1 versus Manny who like this guy said got titles in 3/8 of the original weight classes (plus the titles he won at 122, 130 and 140) while Villa was a flyweight who barely got the championship and dies a little while later.

  • when did Garcia fight?

  • FilFilipinos idolize Pacquiao, and they make him seem like a god. He's good, but he is not as great as the best Mexican fighters. He did not prove to be better than Juan Manuel Marquez.ipinos idolize Pacquiao, and they make him seem like a god. He's good, but he is not as great as the best Mexican fighters. He did not prove to be better than Juan Manuel Marquez.

  • Says who?

Has Marquez defeated Pacquiao? Plain opinions don't negate reality.

Manny Pacquiao is compassionate and humble unlike most of your best fighters, except Morales. I like Morales, after the match, he is gentleman.

Pacquiao is bigger than many boxers in personality. He is a very good model for young people. He plays chess, basketball and gets education during breaks. He's in TV, movies, songs and commercials and he shares his blessings to others. Now try to beat that!

  • your just naming things about him that you dont even know if there true. its just the way you want it to be

  • plain opinion?Marquez schooled pac is a fact.

why would i care about his personal life?

  • ..schooled Pacquiao on what?

You stated your post as, "...FilFilipinos idolize Pacquiao and they make him seem god (sic).." You talk about Filipinos and Pacquiao and yet you don't want to read why Filipinos love him.

By the way, your English is not quite correct but you have the gall to post your criticism of the Filipinos? You should continue studying, learn better English and then post your opinion when you feel like it.

  • The basis of your argument is ignorance. Check for yourself what the Philippines is: it is not boring, maybe a little compared to Mexico. I heard that government officials are running for their lives like rats. Drug cartels rule Mexico and the poor, they are treated like shit.

  • lol bitch you got nothing to say.

your country is lower than Mexico and you know it

  • you are foul-mouthed, clearly a sign of lacking in education.

I am professional what about you? Is Mexico "lower" (sic) than say Brazil?

Check your chess player GM Miguel de leon Hoyos and Wesley So.

Boxing is only a sport but it would show what kind of character a person has.

  • Why not he's a clean fighter with a clean reputation and he's humble. And unlike any other Mexican fighter today he's SUCCESSFUL, yes keep hating.

As far as I know its Hollywood celebrities and Boston Celtics that are riding Pacs nuts more than any other fan. Just search it on youtube or related vids.

Roberto Duran was Idolized the same way in Panama. JCC was idolized the same way in Mexico.

    Double standard and envy.

    Duran shits in Chavez.

As for Pac the difference is he's never ever quit!

  • Mexican boxers not successful??

here is a question is the best Mexican fighter better than the best flip fighter?YES

Mexican boxers not humble?your just talking about Margarito

Duran is half Mexican and not as good as Chavez

    so save it stupid.

  • Duran disowned his Mexican Half (watch his doco)Your are dreaming about Chavez being anywhere near Durans level. stupid.

Duran is the greatest Light/welterweight of all time and was a champ up to middle weight. No Mexican has ever been Successful in winning Multiple World titles in 3 weight divisions. JMM is attempting to be the first.

What's funny is that Pac been a world champ in 5 weight divisions already and theres not one mexican fighter that's done that and Pac's still only 30.

  • what about miguel cotto and trinidad they quit!?

  • When did i mention Rican fighters anywhere?

  • ya. . . Cotto lasted till the 11th round by someone with bricks under his gloves thanks for pointing that out noob. Now BoxingInfo I couldn't be happier with your list, i feel exactly the same way about pac-man, and pancho at number 1, but If pac-man beats, cotto and then mayweather, I think he should be number 1, in terns of skill(is a little different now, it's not just who's the toughest/best slugger, it's more about who's the best technician) we shall see if manny can pull it off!

  • haha marquez couldnt even drop pac once in fights marquez drop 4 times..xD and plus pac didnt have the right hook when he was fighting marquez..xD next time if they fight maybe pac will get him..xD

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! no such thing

  • Hey boxinginfo, What are your thoughts on Filipino Boxers Little Dado & Small Montana?

Small Montana has some record right:

    won 83 (KO 13) + lost 24 (KO 3) + drawn 10 = 118 (by Boxrec)

and Little Dado at one time holding the Flyweight and Batamweight title at the same time.

Would either of these old timers beat Espinosa/Penalosa for your #5 spot.

  • jojoagi- That's a really good question. Little Dado I'm not sure but I think the biggest fights Small Montana was in he may have lost. I'm going off memory of what I read and I think he lost a critical title bout to either Benny Lynch or Fidel LaBarba or both.

  • Going by boxrec, I'm not sure who Benny Lynch is but Small Montana lost a 15 round decision, I'm guessing he's a hall of famer? Montana drew and lost to Little Dado. I'm just going by record because Small Montana had 9 yr boxing career and had a record of this won 83 (KO 13) + lost 24 (KO 3) + drawn 10 = 118. Amazing. I'm not sure how many big fights Montana has been in and lost, but that's some record. Just wondered what your thoughts were on these guys. Thanks.

  • after the pacquiao-hatton fight, i'd put him on the top of the list.

nice video, keep it coming! thanks!

  • nice vid sir. very informative thanks!

  • dont forget panchu villa XD

  • Great video

I wanna see pacquiao-cotto, I think it would be an amazing fight, brilliant clash of styles and would certainly be more of a contest for pac than his last two fights. but also, and I'm saying this as a fan of pac, I think he has a great chance of winning. as much as I'd love to see pacquiao-marquez III, for the pride&pacquiao-mayweather, for the p4p title, pacquiao-cotto will give him his chance to pick up a belt at welterweight to end what would be one of the greatest careers ever

  • 1. Pacquiao

    2. Elorde

    3, Villa

    4, Garcia

    5. Espinosa

  • CONT> With all those boxing bodies we have ( wbc, wba, ibf, ibo, wbo, naba) , it creates confusion to an ordinary fan like me. For example, Nate Campbell was the undisputed/unified lightweight champion but Casamayor, being recognized as ring magazine champion ( before Marquez beat him), was considered a linear champion. Is it safe to assume then that Campbell deserves and shouldve been the linear that time more than casamayor? Your thoughts pls

  • Ty for the info. I always thought that linear champion is always the man who beats the man thus, being the recognized true champion of its respective weight class. Lineal champion maybe a champion of one sanction ( alphabet title) and may not be considered a linear champion.

  • korbotch - that linear definition is absolutely true about the man who beats the man scenario unless the man retires or moves up. Every division who has a "MAN" eventually has one walk away like the line I drew from Mike Tyson in 1987 all the way to Lennox Lewis in 2003. That lineage is broken until 1 of the Klitschko's lose and either the other one or another boxer cleans out all the other claimants. If Haye beats Wlad then loses to Vitali, Vitali will be the new "MAN" sort to speak.

  • Hi, I was wondering if can enlighten me on the difference between linear and lineal titles?Although Ive had a general idea, but still your technical expertise may help shed light on its difference, if theres any? By the way, props to your show, well researched.

  • korbotch- the only difference there can be in my mind is that most people believe the linear champion has the Ring Belt but the lineal champion if not the same can trace back the lineage.

Example: Lennox Lewis before unifying the belts with Holyfield was thought to be the champion or Evander may have had the Ring belt. Mike Tyson created the new lineage in 1988, Douglas beat him, the Holyfield beat Douglas, then Bowe, then Holyfield, then Moorer, then Foreman all the belts had splintered off >

  • CONT>Foreman lost to Shannon Briggs. At the same time Lewis got back the WBC belt, Holyfield had gotten the WBA and IBF belts. Not sure who had the Ring belt if anybody did. Lewis KO's Briggs and now has the lineage then beats Holyfield and for certain got the linear belt (RING).

When somebody retires or moves on the whole unification process starts all over again until all claimants are defeated by the last man standing the new linear champion.

  • nice

  • is it ok if you can allow this to be embedded on websites? i'd like to embed this to my profile

  • aznvedz- try it now

  • thank you!

  • w0w the mighty island nation known as PHILIPPINES :D

  • Manny is already at number 1

  • pacquiao started his career at 106 and six division world champ and the only fighter in history to have 4 lineal world tittle in four weight division and pacquiao defeated four hall of famers and pacquiao gonna fight cotto or mosley next to prevent ring rust said by roach and if he defeat one of them and them if deafeat floyd pacquiao is going to be the best POUND4POUND FIGHTER OF ALL TIME

  • wtf he will never be the best p4p fighter of all time

and beating four hall of famers really isnt that much, considering most of them were out of their prime

  • you moron all the hall of famers that pac fought are in their prime

berrera is the top P4P fighter and fresh from his demolition job against hamed when pac destroy him

morales is just 28 when pac whoop his ass

dela hoya just can't hit what he can't see and pac has to move up 3 division above his natural weight and oscar only need to shed 7 pounds oscar is the one who chose the weight were they gonna fight even the weight of the weight of the glove oscar suddenly got old because pac make him

  • his age isnt wats important, its what hes done in his years as a fighter, his fighting mileage if you will

morales had just finished a fighting 3 wars with barrera when he fought pacquiao

that does a lot of damage, just look at wat happened to vasquez in his trilogy with marquez

and no one is bitching about DLH, he could knock him out for all i care

  • what an excuse pacquiao been in wars in all of his fights and do you know early in his career even puts metals in his pockets in the weight in just to make the weight to fight bigger guys because they offer bigger pay days

  • give me an example of a war with pacquiao that is like the ones that barrera and morales had, name 3, should be easy if what you say is true, i think you are a liar that has probably only seen 5 of pacquiaos fights

and i doubt that he would put weights in his pockets, since you have to strip almost naked when they weight you, not to mention in his early days he would struggle to make weight in the lighter divisions

  • shut up xxxmasterp69xxx! you're just jealous of manny coz he overthrown your fellow filthy mexican who carries swine flu.

  • thanks for the info because i keep seeing comments that the pacman fought over the hill fighters. this means the pacman actually fought more competitive opponents compared to floyd's resume.

  • If Manny fights and beats Mayweather, he goes number 1 in my opinion.

  • Very scholarly. Technically, Pacquiao has 4 legitimate weight class titles. I strongly agree with you, not 6.

  • i think oyu must summarizing again your video because in the philippines Manny Pcquiao consider as the greatest filipino boxer of all time after he defeat Ricky Hatton dramatically at the 2nd round.

  • BTW manny pacquiao have 5 titles or 6 i think on different weights

  • muhammad ali #1(born by Filipino parents but adopted)

    manny pacquiao #1

  • LMFAO!!!

    that is ridiculous

  • pacman is great

vicky fatton is a tomato can

  • thophey, u clearly dont understand pancho villa fought a total of 109 fights b4 he was even 25 years old... as great as manny pacquiao is right now, Francisco Guilledo aka "pancho villa" is still number 1.

  • nice insights buddy, but you should revised it again, now that pacquiao won vs hatton. Good job and Godbless

  • very informative

great list update. thanks for bringing this edition back

special mention - dodie boy penalosa

  • 5th penalosa

    4th garcia

    3rd elorde

    2nd pacquiao

    1st villa

special mention - navarette; espinosa; velasco

  • why couldn't mayweather wait a day? roach is right, he probably is scared of manny. although cotto would be a good matchup, i think mosley is an even better one. besides, mosley ran thru margarito who beat cotto. so even if it serves an entertaining fight with cotto, a battle with mosley is both exciting and of more significance.

    after that, bring on junior.

  • you are hot,

  • Hatton = tomato can worse than an amatuer

Pacman = greatest of all time (after SRR)

Cheack out my funny vid on Vicky Fatton

  • I have posted my post fight video response. Please check it out. Hatton sucks.

  • cotto is next. Mayweather is boring. he will run all night. Pacquiao is exciting to watch becoz u'll never know if someones get ktfo. Pacquiao like roy jones and mike tyson are truly p4p fighters. Both are exciting to watch.

  • Hatton down....... What is Pacman next move? to be consider your top 1 pinoy fighter!

  • coolviet55- Like Bob Arum said in the post fight press conference, a possible fight with Cotto or Mosely fro a legit Welterweight belt would make him the only man in history to win at least belts in 4 of the original 8 weight classes and now #1 Filipino boxer of all time.

  • islander im not tryin to belittle your boxing wisdom or anything, but does it really matter if junior and super weight titles arent part of the original 8 weight classes? isnt it an achievement on is own to just be able to move up in weight to take on tougher competition?

  • XXXMaster-I understand what you are asking. Look at it like this, The original 8 weight classes were created to categorize every size man at the time up to the early 1960's. How many divisions would Sugar Ray Robinson or God forbid Henry Armstrong have won titles in?

Armstrong certainly would have won at 126,130,135,140,147, and 154. He legitimately won 126,147, and 135 and held them at the same time.

I use the original 8 weight classes to cut thru the FMJ bull s__t of 10 titles in 5 divisions

  • i see wat your saying

although i dont like that earlier champions dont get recognized as 6 division champs and modern fighters do because of it

it also kind of makes modern fighters that won titles at multiple divisions seem lesser fighters

and it also keeps DLH up there with all those greats you named because he won titles at lightweight, welterweight, and middleweight

i think arguello or chavez should be seen as better fighters than DLH even if he won titles in more weight classes

  • XXXMaster = Throw that WBO 160 belt right out the window, he couldn't make 1 successful defense, he promptly lost it to the Linear Champ in the division.

Chavez and Arguello were definitely better all time than DLH and so is Pacquiao,

For me, going back to the original 8 weight divisions is one of the truest ways of comparing the boxers of the past with those of the present. Reason, more people fall into those original 8 weight classes naturally.

  • great job on the list. why the f*** aren't u in espn!!!! btw u kinda look like taylor hicks.... lol!!! ur channel is the best, i love ur inputs and opinions or insights and whatnot... great job!!! great job!!! great job!!!

  • I think Hatton's fans are overrating Ricky. He's not all that and what you have been hearing about Hatton is untrue. Paul M. said that: He hate to say it because it makes him sound bitter but Hatton is not this monster that they are making him out to be, Hatton really hasn't changed all that much with Mayweather Sr. either. Like he said, he will be pulling for Ricky because he is a real cool guy, but Pacquiao will stop him.

  • Let's hope you're right, I'm gunning for Pacman, but I don't see this as a walk in the park for Pacman as most people are thinking this will be. I think Hatton is a tough fighter, I don't see this quite so easy. Just going to have to see tomorrow.

  • lol, and sorry to bother you again, but just a question on boxing injuries. Nonito Donaire Jr, is always reported to injure his left hand during his fights, in his fight with Mathalane, he had to turn southpaw because his hand was bothering him, and after his fights I always hear that his hands are bothered by the injury. In boxers careers, can this hinder training and more importantly a boxers career. How serious can these be? lol, promise I won't post any more questions now, thanks boxinginfo

  • jojoagj- yes yes and again yes to your questions. I think that a boxer needs 2 things. 1st a guy like DLH had to take care of his hands Joe Chavez. Oscar had hand problems back in the 1990's not so much lately. 2nd they need to start a treatment program like FMJ does between fights as well as seek out the equipment that will protect their hands the best ex. Winning for Erik Morales and FMJ. Grant for others, etc.

  • I think Nonito will be stubborn to turn to Winning, and I think that him turning to Winning will take away from his punching power, what do you think? But I understand the need to turn to Winning with his conditions of his hands, I just don't think he will.

  • Oh, btw boxinginfo, your thoughts on Pancho Villa had he not died at such an early age, what do you think he's career would have been had he not died so early? and your thoughts on others boxers who have died so young and could have been boxing greats had their lives not been cut so short? salvador sanchez, diego corrales?

  • jojoagi - I think Pancho Villa would have reigned supreme at 112 and had massive fights up and down the weight chart up to 135 with McClarnin, Canzoneri, and Ross.

Sanchez was just as tragic only b/c he was already in his prime and most knew what he was capable of.

Diego Corrales was on the downslide no matter what anybody says RIP.

Marcel Cerdan the best boxer to ever come out of France and maybe continental Europe killed in a plane crash. Look him up on boxrec really impressive.

  • Hey boxinginfo, great video uploads btw, always interested in what you have to say. Are there any current Filipino boxers (not including Pacquiao) that particularly catch your eye? What do you think of Bernabe Concepcion, AJ Banal, Nonito Donaire? and do you think we will have to wait for another boxing great from the Philippines? and can Filipino boxers stay in boxing and make a name for themselves. Your thoughts, thanks dude, look forward to more video uploads

  • Absolutely Nonito Donaire, I think he may be more technically sound at this age than Pacquiao was when he was Donaire's age.

  • @ boxinginfo

Will pacquiao be officially recognized as 5 division champion if ever he beats Hatton??

Coz i think they're fighting for the IBO/Ring belt which is not a major abc belt..

  • yes he will.

  • no he wont

  • bryanzki87- 112, 122, 126, 130, 135, possibly 140. These are titles not linear championships. Or shall I say its the FMJ/ODH way of counting titles and divisions.

The really important thing to remember is :112,126,135 - 3 of the original 8, Floyd can't say that Alexis Arguello or Chavez Sr. can't say that either. At best JMM has won only 2 of the original 8.

A title at 147 makes REAL BOXING HISTORY!

REMEMBER YOU HEARD THIS HEAR FIRST!

  • wow.... im a filipino but even i dont know who pancho villa is

  • Stork, great job! you need a show to just talk about the original 8 titles/weigth classes. Good stuff!

  • Stork, Pacquiao technically didn't win anything when he beat barrera. I know Barrera was the lineal champion who has WBC and ring champion when Pacquiao beat him but it was a non-title fight. I know even Doug Fisher disagrees with it too. He consider Pacquiao as 5 division world champion counting barrera's featherweight belt.

  • aznvedz- Pacquiao may have had the WBO or some belt but look at it this way. Barrera schooled Hamed WBO who KO'd Robinson(WBO) KO'd Boom Boom Johnson (IBF) won a wide decision over Cesar Soto (WBC) and stopped Wilfredo Vazquez (WBA). All of those guys held those titles at the time Hamed beat them even if they were stripped for fighting him they were the titleists, therefore Hamed in my mind was the Undisputed Featherweight Champion and then Barrera was and then Pacquiao. That's the lineage.

  • do you think pacquiao even have a chance against any of the welterweight champion? Berto, mosley, cotto, clottey? Pac should have fought in bantam and win a belt there...too bad and too late.

  • aznvedz- At this point in time the answer is YES, now that can all change by Sunday morning even in victory if it's not a real clean one. But I think he can beat Berto and Mosley ain't getting any younger. Clottey may be too big but something just doesn't impress me about him, and Cotto I'm not sure. I'll know more on Sunday morning.

  • this top 5 list is awesome you should do them for usa, mexico, uk and japan

  • Thx coolviet55!

  • Great vid.. very objective..

hopefully you can do a top 10 list of greatest asian boxers.

BTW what happened to your storkjmc channel sir?

  • jun813 - It got suspended back in January.

  • could we have the greatest european or british fighters in your opinion for a video?

  • cus069- Maybe if I get the time I'll remake that one as well. Jimmy Wilde was #1 on the British video that got lost in the suspension.

  • Do you think Donaire will ever make the list?

  • lemonite1- Donaire is going to have to do 1 of 2 things. 1.Run off a bunch of title defenses and some level of unification at 112. Or 2. play what I think is the over rated move up in weight game and win titles at 115 and a t least 118.

  • How come you think jumping up in weight is over-rated? Isn't it better that he moves up in weight to fight the more exciting fights in say Montiel, and that Donaire has no more to prove at 112

  • jojoagj-Its over rated in the sense that he already fights in one of the original 8 weight classes Flyweight the one Pancho Villa was champion. 15-20 title defenses in one of these divisions like Bernard Hopkins did at 160 goes a long way for history sake.

At 112 right now there is a 15 title defense champion named Omar Narvaez of Argentina the WBO, Daisuke Naito and Wongjonkam of the WBC, as well as the other Thai fighter who just won the WBA belt from Sakata. There's 4 more intriguing bouts.

  • penalosa is 36 yrs going 37 yrs plus has to move up in weight to face lopez and penalosa two controversial loss to In-Joo Cho was a home town decision and his two defeats with Masamori Tokuyama was also a home town decision

pancho villa died at the age of 23 yrs not 24 yrs

    and his never been K.O.

  • Donaire also has problems making weight at 112, so that's why he's so game with moving up in weight

  • A Pacquiao Hamed fight woulda' been crazy. Hamed might have been just awkward enough to give Pacman a hard time. Plus, Hamed had speed and power. Pacquiao has too many tools for Hamed, I think Barrera already proved that.....

  • another great vid, you should have done it with the other guy you did it with, months ago. where is that guy??? BTW Elorde fought Gomes on march 16 1960 it was the inagural fight for the Araneta Colliseum, where Thrilla in Manila was held.

  • i think wilde had been out of action for around 3 years prior to him taking the fight with villa.

  • It's unbelievable to think that if Pacquiao beats Hatton, he could find himself fighting Mayweather and Cotto either late this year and early next. In the early part of last year, those fights would have been inconceivable. He really is a once-in-a-lifetime fighter, and it's funny how he sort of snuck up on us as an all-time legend. Even if he loses fights to Mayweather and Cotto, it would in no way tarnish legacy, as he'd lose only to some of the very best, and both much bigger than him.

  • OPBF meant something 20 years ago

  • dieallday- that was before we the people let the WBA and and the other organizations start making interim champions and WBC Continental titles and all that BS. NABF, USBA, OPBF, EBU (15 rounders) actually groomed fighters for title shots.

Duk Koo Kim I think was the OPBF 135lb champ before he got his fatal shot at Mancini.
