That is awesome. The guys look so chill at 3:53. The women dancers are better than the men. The women move real smooth-like! The set, especially at the beginning, was neat neat neat! Thanks for posting.
@COMB0RICO The story has it that the women in this part of Bulgaria were very humble, this was considered a virtue. Also, the Rhodopes are a mountain - not only winters, but even summer evenings there are cold, which requires them to wear heavy clothes. This pretty much explains why the dancing style of the women is such, it's unique compared to the way Bulgarian women in the other regions dance.
i finally figured out the timing in the beginning of this song its in 10/8 subdivided like this...3,3,2,2...if ne1 else hears it otherwise let me know.
After 500 years of slavery? Yeah, it is possible. What do You expect? This may be is a mixed culture, but it looks and sound so good. It's also so good to listen and watch the not mixed cultures too!
This music has been going on long before Islam even came to be, if there is influence it's our influence on others arond us including islam... There is no mixed culture here this is Bulgarian folklore music, and it's not 500 years of slavery it's 500 years under ottoman rule occupation, there is a difference we were not slaves to anyone, these are uneducated translations, Bulgarian Folklore Music is world known and is unique, not to mention Bulgarian existance is quite older then Turkish.
Of course not! This music is not tipical fot turks! And what is islamic music?Islam is religion! This is Bulgarian folklor music and nave not commonoly with islam or turks!
