I have absolutely no idea what Stef says after she says "Ipod". And I have listened to it a dozen times. Any linguist in spe that's able to translate?
I would love to have grown up with such loving and stimulating parents. If more people did so the world would be a much better place to live. Some people might find this statement a bit "emo", I do believe it's the simple truth, though.
The laughing at the beginning was adorable, but what made it even funnier is every time he sprayed her! The way she said "Oh!" every single time was priceless! She's a beautiful little girl!
Stef, I did notice that you said "no, that's the candy isle. No, we're being good."
Do you think early conceptions of good and bad and approval vs disapproval will have lasting impacts? If so, isn't it quite important how you apply these concepts when speaking to your daughter?
I remember that I was very much brought up under the 'sweets are bad' absolute. It may seem like a small thing but when you're that age it can be a major betrayal.
@Individualism101 I'm an adult, I've lost my religious beliefs, beliefs in the goodness of the state, etc. But this particular concept from childhood still holds up. Sweets ARE bad.
"brrrrRRRRRR-ED!" Where on Earth did she learn to roll her Rs like that? I look forward with delight to more video excellent-adventures of Isabella on Parent-Cam!
i drink one gallon of fuctose corn syrup every morning before I pray my cross wraped around my Canadian flag. This is how all children should be raised; I know, it makes me strong
give her a soda, some red fruit juice, and chocolte bars, sticky buns with lots of icing. Teach her the canadian national anthem and make her ware a shirt with the canadian maple leaf on it. Nationalism and a diet of fructose make strong kids
I don't know if it's just me, but she actually looks incredibly smart... she has that patient, curious look in her eyes. Can't wait to see her grow up!:)
This is the true heart of evil that is FDR, you can see the seething cruelty of anarchism and atheism easily in this video. How horrible the world would be with rationality and empiricism. Ha ha, very kidding.
I don't know too much about child developemental time-tables, but your daughter seems to be walking extremely well. I can't help but wonder if it's because you have her walking all the time, such as in the grocery store, when many parents just put their kids in a cart out of lack for patients. We just had our first child three weeks ago. What a joy :)
Just wanted to thank you for your 'fructose epidemic' addendum, because I've lost two pounds so far in the last three days with just cutting high fructose corn syrup out of my diet. Thank you, and what a beautiful child you possess; what a beautiful family!
Very cute! It's the little things they enjoy! You spraying yourself with water or me hitting myself over the head with a pillow. Thanks for posting! RJ
Hey stef - Always amazes me how much pain a parent is willing to suffer just to get their kid to make a noise.
Looks pretty stable on her feet though and certainly seems to be forming bits of words - despite her having to learn via your inane "baby talk pronunciations"
So, if you named her Izzy, why the heck do you keep calling her Boo-Boo? Sheesch! Parents always drop about 50 IQ points around their children.
She's quite pretty too - must get that from her mother eh?
Hi curiouschem - Oh I wouldn't presume to give stef tips on kids. I have very little experience with kids. And you know Stef is pretty smart - certainly doesn't need any tips from me.
I was only taking the piss in my comment. I think it's great that people can have families etc.
Hopefully you saw I was only having a bit of fun.
I was quite impressed that the kid was actually making words noises. I think nearer 2 yrs old is when they do that on avge. I could be wrong.
@chitchcott "hello every one this is izzy molyneux, i hope your doing very well! today i would just like to talk to you about a recent study concerning the effects of coercive regulation in diaper changing"

we are hard wired for physical comedy, as soon as the kids can start grasping at what they see, they start to laugh.

Ironically, people always have tips to give people when they see them interacting with their kids.
natural course of things.
so, true about the baby talk. shortens the vocabulary list.
