Hey Randy, how about conducting another kind of vote? By compiling 1000 different readers' votes. Each reader juz vote for a painting. Then we shall see which particular painting receives the highest number of votes, and which painter has the most nominations. Then can have a top 10 list.

Thanks - brilliant idea but impossible due to copyright issues - illustrated by my video on George Bingham and my favourite painting - I had to paint a copy of the original! - and of course all the fine detail which made the painting so great were lost. Just for interest what is your favourite? I will try and include it in some future video.

Yeah u r right. Not too feasible to execute. Wow I always admire those who can draw. I really can't draw at all, so don't know about the technicality of brush strokes, colours etc. Hence i prefer surrealism, cubism and abstract art more, as they able to set off my imagination. One piece i particularly like is Dali's Space Elephants. It gives me a very strong sense of space and the picture looks very 3D, like the elephant creatures really moving.

Ernst needs a little encouragement

As you look at THE COUPLE it is in fact a painted collage. Ernst constructed this couple a year after settling in Paris. He first experimented with the collage technique by putting together strange figures from pictures taken from newspapers and magazines. He later used this method in paintings.
