  • Disappointed History Channel. Should have done better research about the orgin of TKD. Taekwondo doesn't have anything to do with Taekyun. And the master yong bok lee was taekwondo 5th dan before he became taekyun master. So more likely alot of kicks taekyun demostrators have shown on this video clip is actually influenced by taekwondo.

  • thumbs up if you jus watching for animation

  • Hwoarang....

  • @Distroy97 exactly what i thought

  • rear horse kick IS practiced in taekwondo. We learned it and it has a different name. It has the same technique just like that.

  • the small guy didn't kick that high because he didn't bend his knee before kicking. TKD facts

  • glad to say my grandmaster yong shin is a 9th dan

  • The interesting is that the big guy is more flexible and kicks better than the small guy. He is as stiff as a woodplank.

  • People, is there a reason why I find myself worst at Tae Kwon Do out of all the fighting styles I have learned? I mean, look at me in savate, karate, judo, krav maga, or any of the styles that I have learned. I am the worst in TKD, probably due to bad instruction.

  • so the guy that teaches warang-do likes Teken?

  • the foot work for that takion, probably the wrong spelling, looks alot like the ginga in capoeira

  • the hourse kick almost seems under rated here... it is soo powerful and practical to use, and you don't have to perry a kick, like shown in the video, to use it

  • bruce lee look a like a 4:21 ??

  • Omg mowrowflow hw did u do that?!

  • hi this is a comment using my PS3 lOl

  • Taekkyeon is a little over 1500 years old...Subak is over 2000 years old

  • Lol Gandalf the yellow

  • i wanna be traint by young buck :D

  • *they hit the bell for luck and family honor*

Bill: "hey try put your face on it"

    i lol'ed

  • Where i learn Tkd we learn ITF and WTF

  • @alphie10 Judoka is nothing, it isnt even effective..

But i do Japanese Jiu Jitsu

  • @txway0 Lol Judoka is not a sport JUDO is a sport A JUDOKA is someone who practice it, and jiu jitsu is almost the same as judo

  • @txway0 judois basically the same as jujutsu... Brazilian Jiu Jitsu comes from judo and judo comes from ju jutsu, it's basically the same but jujutsu was not well seen in japan so the founder of judo just changed the name, and it was convenient because he thought jujutsu could not express fully his art, that's why he changed the name...

  • The taekwondo you see in the olympics and sports are only small percent of what true taekwondo has to offer. I know cuz I been to Korea and try some of their martial arts and real deal taekwondo. Here in western countries taekwondo is mostly used for sports purposes, so that's why it seems as if though it won't be of use in real situation. But trust me the traditional taekwondo is total hard just no easy way out. It's one of the most effective martial arts to this date.

  • Master suck?

  • Fake! i can do it with just my fist! all are joke and liar! Where got one miss will break ur broke!

  • @shamanharvest86 im very sure you're malaysian or else singaporean

  • @octaviousza What wrong with that sucker?

  • @shamanharvest86 cuz only malaysians and singaporeans use where got LOL

  • @shamanharvest86 Yeeea, good luck trying. Like in the video, if you strike at a wrong angle, goodbye Mr Hand.

  • If anyone plays Rumble Fighter, they're using JinTekkyon stance and moves.

  • LOL i swear at 8:59 the asian dude is like hi i'm bill

  • right when they hit the bell the second time my phone went off and i was like ohhhh shit i feel it through the computer

  • to be honest i thought tae kwo don was not a very good martial art for self defense but after watching this i respect it even more im a Judoka

  • @alphie10 judo's a boring and weak martial art. try karate and some muaythai

  • @Curtisandseth lmaooo thats the stupidest thing iv heard in a whilee are u fucking crazyy? judo it probably one of the most superior martials arts used in mma and BJJ came from judo we do groundfighting and standup mainly stand up and all the other arts like sambo came from judo not to mention those silly takedowns u use in karate are in judo lol u clearly lackk alot of knowledge in martial arts

  • @alphie10 i do a bit of judo in my karate class like the usual hiptosses and leg sweeps and i beat the fuck out a judo kid at school cause he thought he was bad. i threw 5 jabs and leg sweeped and finished him just that easy. so his judo didnt help him.

  • @Curtisandseth your a douche.

  • @PubezyBurns your a troll

  • @Curtisandseth Good reason to get in a fight. You sound like a real winner. It's not the art itself, but the person using it. And I guarantee you that if Judo boy would have gotten ahold of you it would've been over. Never kick a kicker, strike a striker, or grapple a grappler. You beat him because you took him out of his element.

  • @Curtisandseth so what he could have been white belt and not very experienced at the art yet and thats bad manners for u geting into a fight in the 1st place that is not martial arts u shuld have good self dicipline and be always kind to other people

  • @Curtisandseth the judo u do in karate anyways is shit they dont even teach u the techniques fully so they wont do damage fight a really good judoka however u will be owned on the ground as karatte do not know how to fight once on the ground and stand up well if u get lucky to land a punch but dont forget a judoka can use punches and kicks too even tho we dont use them in the actual art u wuld be thrown and beaten up for ur arogance

  • @alphie10 Hey kid this is fucking old, yes i take ju jitsu with my karate class. Shut the fuck up i dont care about your noob fighting tactics. Happy Holidays.

  • @Curtisandseth ur the 1st cocky person iv seen that does martial arts usualy they are very laid back and polite anyways Arigato Merry Xmas

  • @alphie10 im a udoka too

  • @alphie10 I think its a hard martial art to teach correctly which leads to lots of student not being as good as their martial art

  • @smsjgoku why do u think that? they are alot of good tae kwon do students out ther

  • @alphie10 Sorry I didnt mean I think most Taekwondo students are bad, its just I've seen lots of people who only focus on the sports side and so get awsome kicking speed but not good with much else but my Taekwondo instructor (Master Lennox 7th Dan) hes still awsome with his legs but is just as deadly with his arms, that is enough evidence for me to have confidence in TKD

  • aww i didnt get to see them try and break the marbles..

  • i dont do taekwondo, im a newb, and i do tangsoodo but i really love it :) They are pretty much the same :)

  • HWORANGdo

  • @qazaq992 Totally!

  • 15 people who disliked this got their asses handed to them by a Tae Kwon Do master

  • i didn't even know that Wrestilng was considered as a "fighting technique"

  • that master said NOT to turn your head when you kick; the gray guy did :/

  • Human Weapon tae kwon do

  • that big fat bald guy Bill is a cocky faggot.

  • Bill is so cocky!!!

  • OUCH! 2:54

  • lol so they didn't break it? wooow

  • stuff all this try to get close to an Aikido master that is all i have to say to you all rest my case

  • @MrSpideradam I have to agree...aikido is amazing

  • @TrippyTheShroom respect to most of the arts but the history of Aikido is amazing

  • @MrSpideradam Ya, I give my respects to all forms of Martial Arts, but out of the several arts I have tried...Aikido is definitely one of the most effective and enjoyable.

  • @TrippyTheShroom i heard Aikido is the most unreliable..

  • @SushiSkatesOki It depends on the fighter

  • @SushiSkatesOki To an unexperienced student, its almost pointless. Aikido takes YEARS to master. I've been in an Aikido class for about 8 years now, and I'm still considered a beginner by most teachers and higher ranked belts. If you stick with it and practice ALOT...its easily one of the better Martial Arts you can learn...now, that doesnt mean its the be-all end-all Martial Art...but its certainly damn good.

  • @TrippyTheShroom and thats what i meant by unreliable, in that time of your long training you might get attacked and could only defend yourself with what little you might know. I'm not saying its bad, I personally love Aikido, but its very challenging unlike many other martial arts

  • @SushiSkatesOki Yea. I love Aikido and everything it stands for...but what keeps most students from continuing in the Art of Aikido is that it takes a very long time to understand and "master". I've been in Aikido for years now, but I also take a Tae-Kwon-Do class (red belt) and I've also taken various forms of other martial arts (BJJ, Muay Thai, Krav Maga)...All of which benefit.

Out of them all though, the one I prefer the most is hands-down Aikido. Its challengeing, but rewarding.

  • oh i have top comment sweet id like to thank my fans

  • Just a wise comment. If your a pussy fighting then any martial art will help you, if you train and practice like a real martial artist then don't worry, you'll be the best if you train properly

  • wtf = world taekwondo federation

    LOL

  • i clicked here to see him break the marble :O

  • I'm no Taekwondo expert, but this is my races fighting style, and these kicks are the best i've seen.

  • martial arts cannot compare with one another they are all leathal taken further enough

  • @RyanSpecailOps Doesnt matter, the 2 worst martial arts are aikido and taekwondo. They both suck real bad. The prasctitioners are better going with muay thai or krav maga

  • @daaskapital1 No martial art is better than the other because every martial art has it's strengths and weaknesses.

  • @daaskapital1 It cracks me up when someone makes a blanket judgement of 2 martial art systems based on a few bad examples. I've trained in both arts and they work on the street when the basics are taught and learned properly. They both work. I have run into Muay Thai & Krav Maga that could use more practice.

  • @42Cleve Well, KM is definately more suited for the street than tkd

  • @daaskapital1 I say again, an art is only as good as it's practitioner. As for the difference between sport tkd & classical tkd it's the emphasis. Sport TKD focuses on competiton and mostly emphasizes kicking for competition. The art of TKD has an arsenal of hand techniques and elbow strikes that( used properly) are effective on the street. TKD also has a number of joint locks, take downs & throws but, many schools don't teach em'. My instructor does therefore, so do I to my students.

  • ITF and WTF train differently, google it. In my opinion the "best" would be WTF in the real world, because they actually train to hit things at full force, while ITF focuses on controlling your attacks to STOP before hitting the desired target. Coming from a martial artist/streetfighter WTF has served me a lot more well than ITF i dont need to adjust my body to stop before it hits the target, i need to adjust it to hit it with all the force and speed i can possibly get.. Preference I guess :/

  • i wish they posted one based on itf

  • Saying one martial art is better than other, is like saying the i can run faster beacuse i'm left handed.

  • shut up

    all

taekkyon is the principle of the Taekwondo

    lol

taekkyon humilates various tipees of martial arts

  • the wtf is better as an olimpic martial art

the itf is better in self defense

  • @RDViaud There are no olympic martial arts, only olympic sports. That is the basic difference between ITF and WTF. One is a martial art the other's a sport.

  • @RDViaud Well said!!!

  • @RDViaud It depends on thee fighter...

  • @RDViaud whats wtf and itf?

  • @AljoeTheCack there are two federations, one was born by the master Choi Hong Hi (ITF) and the other one was born by his students(WTF)

  • @AljoeTheCack

WTF : olympic taekwondo with lots of protections. almost only kicks. ( South korean TKD )

ITF : original taekwondo. uses much more punches. ( North Korean TKD )

  • i loked to have go at this art and the clubs i seen are instructed by people not mean to affend but tese instructers cant fight and i can tell its about making proffits witch is sad

  • Hwarang-do is it the same style that the "tekken" character Howarang uses ?

  • @rosenjake716 no Howarang uses military tkd, he is named Howarang because in ancient korea the greatest fighters were named Hwarang, these Hwarangs fought back the chinese several times when Korea was under attack.

  • @MrOleMization

    thanks for the info

  • i am sorry everyone i will be frank and say exactlyt what i think i from tkd wtf anyway that martial art is complete we have punches and blocks and some grablings after for the sport they transform it but never forget the tkd itf or wtf its still a martial art and is one of the best one something else tkd have too is the sweeping kick like low kick in kung fu or muay thai so i repeat try it before talk bad about

  • all i need is a trainings partner...... :(

  • And the yobshagi ? The famous kick of tkd ?

  • Hwarang is pronounced Wa-rung.

  • @N00bcake4life rung being american pronounced ? cause i always wonder how to pronounce that

  • @Floconbob Australian

  • anybody knows why these animation people are always naked?

  • @tundeeeee Cause no one cares if you can hurt someone with knuckle dusters on.

  • @w4lyfb lol , best respond i ever had haha .

  • That is Taekwondo WTF- NO HANDS :X Train Taekwondo ITF that contains the original Taekwondo Martial Arts made for military in Korea so it has Hands STrikes like hooks and uppercut and various other strikes of course in a competition you can use only straight punches and kicks but you can hit whetever you want! :)

  • I wonder why they learned the taekyon horse kick, when they could've just learned the back kick of taekwondo, which is kind of the signature move of taekwondo anyways.

  • As a black belt in this martial art, compared to Korean style TKD, the american style, albeit I'm a low rank black belt, (2nd decided), is way pathetic... we use twice as much saftey gear, I no half these techniques and they seem to make everything 3x as lethal as we do... at least in my personal experience...

  • @swadeize After watching part 1 and part 2, I decided to pack my clothes and steal some money from my parents and fly off to Kukkiwon to train there for two years. Lmao, I wish.

  • im doing boxing but wud like to try tkd

  • even i did karate but it didnt suite me i am still doing TKD and now i am a international silver medalist

  • ive studied most of the main arts ie tae kwon do, karate and kung fu, done some others but not to such a high level such as jkd, kickboxing a thai, i think the main problem and its a misconception about tkd is simply the olympic rule set, which as most will afree is rather poor, the lack of hands in the olympic ruleset is simply obnoxious.

  • Tae kwon-do has had a complicated history in the 20th century. As a result there are many different organizations that claim to teach "the Real Tae Kwon-do." Honestly, I don't think that the WTF is true to the original spirit. The ITF used to be true to the spirit until Choi introduced the idiotic Sine Waves into the forms. I suspect that the true spirit of Tae kwon-do is still preserved in the numerous independent schools that are unaffiliated and teach the original military art.

  • its funny how everyone that comments is a martial arts expert n shit

  • @MrSpideradam Similar to like in UFC when the fighters are seeming to do nothing when grappling and everyone 'booooos' Those people booing would not last a few seconds of that grappling.

  • @maramyfriend yeah so true i mean most fights last 2 mins (full on fist fight) but in boxing and ufc they have to out last them just as much as trying to take them down as they have to take a breather some point :)

  • @MrSpideradam This is a video about martial arts so you can expect many martial arts fighters comment and watch the video. Not all people are posers. I train Muay thai.

  • @MrSpideradam lol dude i fucking know right think they know all that shit :P

  • @IKILLANGELZ it is silly

  • @MrSpideradam @RDViaud WTF = What the FUCK.. ITF = Its the FUCK TKD = should just be it.. Koreans should stop making a fool of their MARTIAL ART... Its funny how everyone that comments is a martial arts expert n shit AND not only that.. They tend to be the ones who JUST DREAMS of being a REAL MARTIAL ARTIST Look behind the screen.. YOU SEE A FAT ASS BIATCH.. Martial Art movie fanatic.. AND WHY ON EARTH.. Do we COMPARE the MARTIAL ART?? only Look at the people who do it TOO.. =0
  • @technical010 wtf

  • @technical010 its called martial arts racism. lol

  • i havent practised TKD for like 7 years because i changed to an other sport but underastimating any martial art or martial artist is just plain stupid and ignorant i once thought aikido was crap untill my (current) teacher put some of the locks and throws on me and i was definatly not trying to make it easy on him lol and im sure that an TKD master is dangerous and i have alot of respect for any practisionier of any martial art whatever.

  • @TheObelix876 Tell that to Itay Gil. I agree with you. Listem to how Gil wants to say Krav Maga is the greatest in an indirect way in the introduction of the episode of Human Weapon. That guy has no respect for the martial arts that made the existence of Krav Maga possible.

  • i agree korean tkd is the real tkd .Not diluted rubbish you get from some instructors

  • I wonder how the choose there belt lvl or do they jst use there suits I wish I could get those suits for my class

  • i wish my taekwondo class had uniforms like this! insted of the suits

  • my bell is bigger

  • that bell just buzzed out my speakers!

  • im blue belt ITF student and i learn every lesson there is something new its like it never ends

  • Wing Chun Is Better than This But Taekwondo Is Also Deadly I Study Taekwondo And Will Be Studying Wing Chun

  • Oh god. I cringed when he mentioned ninjas in front of the Koreans.

  • heehe! this reminds me of this cartoon i saw back when i was six...

there was this bully who was scared to face this girl, but was relieved when she gave an excuse so he told his friends

Molly: aren't you going to face that pip-squeak tpday?

Binky:Ahuhu! she said she's got some Korean cooking class! TAI-KWON-DOUGH!! AHAHAHAHA

needless to say his ass was kicked...

  • judo vs tkd+judo win!!!!!!!

  • 3:34

    HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

    They look so fucking retarded.

  • Excuses, Excuses ,excuses 6:36-6:55 he shud just shut up i mean im 14 and i can to better than his pansy ass

  • that is not the original tkd

the original tkd is the itf = international taekwondo federation

in this video that is the wtf = world taekwondo federation

itf is much better because they use the hands and FOOTS...

  • @ChikoTv67 i feel comfortable with ITF more when i was young i did world but when i was older i did ITF it felt good i did alot of hands and feet combination but your right it does do alot of both

  • @ChikoTv67 thats what i tell people (i do ITF) and no one agrees with me. and also i think ITF is from North Korea not South Korea. But i was told that ages ago and might be getting it mixed up or something. God General Choi was awesome :)

  • @N00bcake4life Well, in a way its from both; Which it was originally in is all that will differ. General Choi taught both parts over time, but which he started with is highly debatable. Personally, it doesnt really bother me. But the thought of using a North Korean Military Style just has a nice ring to it :)

But in the interests of not having a long conversation in which we agree with each other extensively, i shall refine my comment to "Yes".

  • @Caeviens yes General Choi taught it all first because it was just one martial art. but ITF was the first one to break away or whatever and it was from North Korea

  • @N00bcake4life Thats what i mean - The ITF was formed from North Korea, but whats debated largely is where it originated; We're in agreement here :)

  • @ChikoTv67 and ITF was a real training of real life combat and has more techniques of self defense. ooooh im sorry guys i just love ITF so much! =)

  • @ChikoTv67 *feet, foots isn't a word

  • @ChikoTv67 bull***t get some experience from both then compare

  • @ChikoTv67 wtf is 80% kicks and 20% punches, but it doesen't mean we hit bad.

  • @ChikoTv67 the original tkd is itf and wtf combined. itf focuses on control and precision, they train to be able to stop their movements millimeters before the target. wtf focuses on speed and power and actually train to hit things full force. anyone thats taken both and uses common sense would know people that take wtf tae kwon do would have a much better than itf in a fight. its much more deadly. anyone that would even assume they know anything about tae kwon do wouldnt be biased about them...

  • @ChikoTv67 ITF isn't original lmfao and WTF is a branch of ITF. WTF was built by ITF. Rhee style is closer to the original since it hasn't really changed that much since 1924

  • @ChikoTv67 Dude, Tae Kwon Do is Tae Kwon Do, your talking about the sport tkd wich is only kicks.

This guys know everything about tae kwon do and i'm talking about the korean people.

  • @MrTaker1991 I don't know everything because I'm still learning. I always will be learning. What is taught in Korea, is not the same thing that's taught here. There are schools in this country that make me understand why TKD gets no respect as a martial art. The point that I was trying to make is that TKD is not the only art with poor instructors in it's ranks. There are good & bad in just about every art. I was blessed with good ones and what they taught me works. Thank you.

  • pretty lame how they both make excuses throughout the 5 video parts...

  • Marble is not a rock JASOOOOOONNN. pfft tard.

  • @pGRIMq wtf? marble is a rock lol

  • @YourLoveLetter Dont let Jason know its a metamorphic rock he wont shutup. Because he cant break it thats why they skipped the scene were they would both fail.

  • isn't rear horse kick called backthrust in Taekwondo

  • Hwarang is a red belt pattern in my tae kwon do. I am on the pattern they call twa gye

  • Hwarang is a red belt pattern in my tae kwon do. I am on the pattern they call twa gye

  • i think the could show some more respeckt at the shrine :S

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • I'm korean and I'm just facepalming at all the mispronunciations that these two noobs are saying.

  • jason is so good at giving excuses for not being able to do something!

  • HWOARANG !!!!!!!!

  • @dicobanks not quite hworang is a modified tkd

  • The silver guy turned HIS back. Whoops.

  • need a 4th ring for the invention of kim chi
