Culture, that is to say the "spirit" of a people, consistently evades the United States. It absorbs cultures, it embraces them, but the United States has never had one of its own.
Sure, buddy, sure. You are just lies. You just wont admit that 95% of your "culture" comes from people of other countries. And again, América=Continent, United States=country. And blue or not, Jeans are French, you moron.
@FernandoLuis191 What exactly did I lie about? I explicitly stated, more than once, that other cultures influenced American culture. However that's not to say we don't have a culture of our own, which we clearly do. You can't possibly be this stupid!
And Football pawns handegg(what you call NFL) 1000 times. Requieres way more ability. And no one will remember the Tim Teabows..Only ones known and remembered throughout the world are names like Maradona, Zidane, Beckenbauer, Raúl, Batistuta, Cruyff, Platini, Pelé, Ronaldo, Müller, Maldini, Ronaldinho, Messi, di Stefano, Charlton, Figo...etc etc.
@FernandoLuis191 But, it's common knowledge that MOST cultures copy, borrow, steal, what you want to call it, from other cultures. Are Mexicans not aware of this?
I have no idea who any of these people are. I'm assuming they're guys who kick balls around. But of course I don't know them, soccer is not our culture. However I do know who Tim Tebow is. Why? Because Football is OUR culture. So whether the world remembers Tim Tebow or not is irrelevant.
@FernandoLuis191 Oh, by-the-way, blocking me means my point was undeniably true and you couldn't comprehend it, therefore you blocked me. It's okay, it happens.
@LordRASPUTN By the way, it's not exclusive to "south of the border". All of Latin America doesn't like the fact that you think America and americans is exclusive to you. Same goes for Europeans. And I didn't block you lying coward. You blocked me.
@FernandoLuis191 You see, what you fail to realize is, we Americans really don't spent too time and energy thinking about whether or not people from Latin America dislike what us Americas refer to ourselves as. Honestly, don't you people have more important things to occupy your time with? Oh yeah, we also don't care what Europeans think about it either.
@FernandoLuis191 No matter if I call it the U.S, the States, or America, I'm referring to the country, not the continent. I think you're well aware of that. But it's not surprising that you brought that up, since it always seems to be a problem to people south of the border.
So "America" doesn't have a culture of its own? Like music, art, food, things that originated here, in America(the country, that is)? It's blatant, that such a culture exists.
The pronunciation of the name of the cities in USA is diferent for example in spanish, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Texas, San Francisco. is pronounced diferent in spanish than in english.
@jskywalker23 Yes, because all those cities have spanish names. The yanks didn´t change the name because they knew that with a name like "Washingtont" or "Johnson" no one would care. U.S.A. just absorbs culture. It´s never had one of its own.
@FernandoLuis191 Our culture is diversity, among other things. But besides that, any idiot knows America has its own, unique culture. A culture emulated everyday all over this planet we call Earth. American films, music, our way of life is watched, listen to, and lived globally. Of course America's welcoming of other cultures is what makes the U.S. a wonderful, diverse place to live and call home. China, India, Italy, we have it all! I don't see a problem there. U.S.A!
@LordRASPUTN América is the name of the continent, has been called that way long before you guys came here. Culture, that is to say the "spirit" of a people, consistently evades the United States. It absorbs cultures, it embraces them, but the United States has never had one of its own.
@FernandoLuis191 Did you just say America never had a culture of its own? You ignorant piece of shit! Our culture is freedom and enterprise. Blue jeans, rock and roll, muscle cars, Hollywood, Disneyland, cheerleaders, the atomic bomb, facebook, women's rights, baseball, basketball, real football ( not pussy soccer), country music, rap/hip-hop, the airplane, crack cocaine, bubblegum, and the list goes on forever. America has the most heavily exported and influential culture ever.
@livingstillbirth Jeans are French. Rock and Roll was inventend by black people from Africa. Hollywood is full of foreign actors. Disneyland? You do know that Disney is a French last name, don't you?. Basketball was invented by the Mayans. Baseball is the crappy version of Cricket. NFL is the crappy version of Rugby(and nobody calls Football "soccer", only you yanks). Country sucks. Rap was also made by black people.
@FernandoLuis191 You are aware that blacks in America are Americans, right? So if Hollywood does have a few foreign actors, does that make it non-American? Of course not! And if Disney is actually a French surname, does that mean Disneyland is non-American? You may be the most idiotic person have come across on YouTube(which is and American website). If not for our great American culture, you wouldn't have this amazing website to come to.
@FernandoLuis191 Few more things. He said blue jeans, you moron, blue jeans. Which are quite American. And the fact that you mentioned country music only supports my point that America has its own culture. Country music was invented in America. So was Jazz, Blues, Rock&Roll, Techno, Pop music, just to name a few.
@FernandoLuis191 Why admit it? When our actions speak for us. America not only accepts other cultures, with open arms, but we celebrate their influence to American culture everyday. I've been saying that this whole fucking time! But good-luck on your mission to try and get the Americans and British to admit whatever you're trying to get us to admit.
@FernandoLuis191 Your lies are astounding. Denim jeans were invented by Levi Strauss during the California gold rush. Rock&Roll and rap were invented by black Americans (straight out of Compton, not Africa, you idiot ). Basketball was invented by John Naismith in Massachusetts. Football and baseball are superior versions of their progenitors as evidenced by the physical prowess and higher salaries. Walt Disney was born in Chicago. America is the dominant culture, mojado!
Puto subnormal.
@FernandoLuis191 Musclecars, cowboys, comicbooks, soap operas, the airplane, reality TV, and fastfood are a few things I forgot to mention. If you have a McDonald's or Starbuck's in your shitty country, then thank the good ol' USA. We export our TV shows too, but don't care to watch yours. Let's not forget the puritan work ethic. We work more hours and have a higher rate of productivity than any other country. I'm sorry your mother has a culero for a son.
@FernandoLuis191 And by the way, Castellano is just the fag dialect of Spanish. You have to suck a lot of cock to get the gay lisp just right. You mention it as though somehow it puts you above other spics, yet I wonder how many toilet cleaners and grape pickers in America beg for their measly paychecks in "Castellano". When you're ready to learn about American culture I'll gladly accept you as my stable boy.
Why people from united states think the whole world talk only in English? Obviously this video was taken from a Tv program in a different language that's why there's a translator.
indeed! I didnt understand at first I was like "omg hes talking alien how do they understand?!" and then the translator came and then I understood and started laughing :P
No talent? That's unconscionably stupid. Watch his stand up, watch "In Living Color", watch anything he's ever done. He's made some bad movies sure, but he might be the best physical comic of all time. And he's a pretty damn good dramatic actor too (i.e. "Eternal Sunshine").
Carrey: "Jack Nicholson."

Jim Carrey, the luckiest guy on earth!! No fucking talent but still makes in Hollywood!!
coltsuperocean10 2 years ago
No talent? That's unconscionably stupid. Watch his stand up, watch "In Living Color", watch anything he's ever done. He's made some bad movies sure, but he might be the best physical comic of all time. And he's a pretty damn good dramatic actor too (i.e. "Eternal Sunshine").

@blerman25 true, jim can can do a stand up making faces and have people pissing themselves instead of rehashing an old joke like most comedians
