All the Horsepower in the world will get you nowhere fast , if you can't get it to the ground and hook it up. Trucks are not well known for great traction that a car has . UNLESS its a 4WD . Next The Mustang has a smaller profile and should cut the wind much more efficiently . I have seen cars with a lot less HP beat the snot out of cars with a lot more, because the car would do nothing but spin at the line . I think it was a fair race and I am surprised the truck won . Nice bit of driving

Bought the body and frame for 300 bought the engine and transmission for 250 spent a little over 2000 on new parts for 390 big block . High rise intake Holley 750 carb , forged 10.4-1 pistons . .60 lift .270 duration cam mallory ignition rebuilt c6 transmission 3.9 ford 9 inch rear end . Heads are ported and polished for max air flow . Headmon headers . All balanced . Built engine myself . Maybe a little rust but that helps with the sleeper appearance
