@emeraldozma you're wrong. freida pinto is indian. There are lots and lots of people with the last name Pinto in India. Saying she's not Indian because she has a Catholic name is like saying Shah Rukh Khan isn't Indian because he's Muslim. Christians make up about 3-5% of the Indian population. And they are mostly all locals who converted to Christianity, for whatever reason. Same goes for Muslims, who make up anywhere from 13-18% of the population.

I don't consider India a superpower and its very far from ever being one. However, Dubai may look all glittery on the outside, but in reality it's economy is just a bubble waiting to burst. Also, you may not have the type of slums you see in South asia and South america in Dubai, but the terrible living conditions that most of the low wage earners live in is not much better.

India is growing so much. It was oppressed and ruled by the brits and the muslims in history. How can a country fully develop when it gained independence in 1947. India might not be a superpower yet but it will be one soon. The only difference between it and other superpower countries, is that it will not look at other countries as inferior and try to change them, rule over them, take over them. @barathkhan, incest is not common in Muslim countries. Some Indians (like yourself) resent Muslim countries for outshining India. In India many women are burned to death by their husbands and the caste system is still alive (where people are forced to be 'untouchable' because of their social class), so pointing your finger at other cultures is not a good idea!
