Storm 2 makes its debut here. Looks like nothing on the outside but in truth, it is a hugely powerful and aggressive machine. Never underestimate what they can do.
Bit of trivia; at 3:48 Direct Action hits Mr Psycho's hammer and puts a gash in it. You can see this damage throughout the rest of the series, like in Dantomkia's first battle of Heat C in series 7. I guess like with Shunt's hole in the scoop from Hypno-Disc in Series 6 the Producers did maintenance on the House Robots' internals, but kept some holes in the armour for battle scars.
Storm 2 looked pretty good, fast and durable. Do any of you think that the hammer of mr. psycho even did anything to Storm 2? Seems that his hammer hardly did anything to any of the robots, as far as I've seen anyway.
@JBlight31K According to the Storm website it made a dent in the scoop, though Storm 2 is heavily armoured. Mr Psycho's hammer was actually very destructive, but due to its weight and being blunt the damage was usually either hard to spot or was internal- 259 had parts of its chassis bent, part of Mean Streak's drive seemed to be disabled and in the Dutch Wars the hammer damaged Tough As Nail's ram for its weapon. In the Tag Team Terror Psycho did remove Barbaric Response's rear plate.
yea typhoon shuda been out along time ago in series 7 it was just 2 lucky coz it didnt go against any flippers if firestorm beat storm 2typhoon wuda been screwed its pretty cheap
you could say every fight they had one. fight 1 was bigger brother. two hammer head heat final iron awe. atomic and thermidor in the semis and the final was x-terminator and storm 2 and they both "flipped" out robots in there heats
Storm II was the eventual grand finalist against Typhoon 2 in the 7th wars, wasn't it? And I think it should have won that actually.
Better engineering here than the average new blood heat, although I don't see how either Storm or Revolution could be considered "New Bloods" when they're both II robots. Direct Action's flywheel actually did quite a biot of damage to Storm II and it took quite a licking, yet kept on ticking.
Well, they were first time competitors on the show. Storm had a previous version with a crusher at the front, but didn't qualify for the 5th or 6th wars. same situation with Revolution 2.
And to think that Storm II almost didn't make it past first round due to a driving error. I knew it was going to win the fight but when it got that close to the pit I got a little worried :P

I think the new storm 2 was a lot better, their robot here seemed to skid around too much

XD heheh that last part with direct action being shoved down in the pit almost took storm2 with it so yea XD ouch that was too close for the storm XD
FLAME4564 1 year ago
If I may say so, I think it was a horrible idea for direct action to go for the pit release button.
I think Revolution 2 was inactive for so long if it went to the judges, it would have lost out due to a lack of action from it.

I like the look of Direct Action. If their driving wasn't so abysmal they'd have gone far.

@ArcaneAzmadi Storm (I as such) was never entered into robot wars.

@IEatFigs The original Storm resembled the American Robot Wars robot Tyrannabot if memory serves right.

Direct Action was covered in fur and had a different name at one point. What was it?

Killer Kat?

That's the one!
BulletDrummer 4 years ago
Can't have been, because...
1: Wrong team.
2: Wrong place.
3: Wrong structure.
4: Wrong year. Killerkat came AFTER Direct Action, not before.
So where did Direct Action come from previously?
