Yeah that's true. This track only came out in 2007 but it has a very retro mid-1980's electro style. I'm fairly sure that Kavinsky was inspired to write the song because of Miami Vice and the famous Ferrari :)

The stunt car was not a ferrari at all, was a pantera, with a shell. Anyway, The diplomat should not have had the power, even if worked over with a police gearing ratio. Not even back then was the testarossa that fast. the 'cuda could have kept up easily with the'86. But the Vette, being the hatchback stingray would not have been able to do so. But again, noone knows what motors were being used. Great clip though!

actually the stunt car for the testarossa was a detomaso pantera stripped and covered with a fiberglass body of the ferrari

at 1:44 - The average truck trailor from the bottom edge to the ground is 45 inches. Not including the stuff that hangs underneath.

The Testarossa is 44.5 inches high. They had to have raised that trailer for the stunt.

lastly, the Testarossa should have outrun that pig Dodge Diplomat.
