Since one can't ask friends to pay for playing at home, publishers have found the trick : no splitscreen so that you'd need a license and a PC for each player. Ridiculous isn't it... Example : Left4Dead2 HAS splitscreen mode, but for PC you must tweak with terminal commands (no integration). An example where the "culture" of cash is simply a blocking factor for our evolution...

But everyone, please try write an e-mail to EA, explaining the importance and sociality of split screen in a racing game, especially Need For Speed. Because with the increased number of people talking about the lack of split screen game mode, the chance of split screen in the next Need For Speed game or even in an upcoming update to the game, is increased.
