  • I thought this would be about skip Bifferty

  • Love all the details in this clip eg; Yvonne meets Bishop of Runcorn = )

  • Love this song, and the backing singers!

  • You have to admit its a bloody awful song. The trouble with films of this genre is that they were made by older blokes who had little understanding of the real 60s scene (see also Blow Up) - and what the hell is Twink doing in there?!

  • I love this song! It's catchy.

  • I don't know about understanding the scene, but I get the feeling they had contempt for it.

  • on the other hand, it has a different, probably better meaning thanks to being made by some one who can think by that time. Also on another note, Blow up did a very good job capturing that era. But what they really disliked was how shallow it all was. And basically the music industry still works the same way. Look at Paris Hilton!

  • @garrybod You said it exactly (just saw the full video of this and I am still in a fit of laugter, so goddamn hilarious Ha ha ha) these older bastards putting their damn spin on things. It's the reason why I am gradually understanding this.

  • Smashing Time is on region 1 DVD. The girl signing autographs was in fact Lynn redgrave herself with a bad wig. Yes, this has to be one of the best Brit comedys to come out of the 60S. Rita Tushingham was a sweetie.

  • ahhh lollipopmind you are my hero for posting this!!!!

  • The guy with the fair hair producing the recording is Jeremy Lloyd, who wrote Allo Allo!

  • I had forgotten how good that film was, I wonder if the whole film is out there somewhere

  • THAT WAS TWINK SIGNING AUTOGRAPHS!!

  • I'll have a STEAK.

  • Saw this movie a while back and that was amazing. I think this has to be one of the three best movies that defied London in the 1960s. The other two are "Blow-Up" (which featured Lynn's sister Vanessa) and "Bedazzled."

  • Smashing!
