Yeah, break up feelings are confusing for both. After all, you aren't an object for him to give away; you have feelings and his telling you that he still loved you shows that's he's aware of this. But don't let it sink too deeply. Trust is very important and since you lost that; it would be horrendously difficult to gain it back. He probably wants to get back together with you! Just try inviting him somwhere, start as friends, and give little hints that you wouldn't mind being in a relationship with him again. Don't throw yourself at him, just give him special glances, maybe flirt, there's lots of things you can do. :)
