If you watch the back of the truck, his brake lights are on, then his backup white lights go on and you can see him moving backwards in relation to the parked car on the right as he hit the car driven by the youngster. From the rear cam, you can see that the girl was not doing anything that would distract her, no cell phone, food, just driving. Great use of drive cam.
@Mango38 Initially he was trying to say she rear ended his vehicle. In the end the video caused him to reverse his story and take blame for the accident. I don't think it was a scam. Parking on those streets is a little sparse so he saw a space and was trying to quickly park his truck.

The DriveCam only sends a 10 second snapshot of what happened via cellular phone after an accident or an event that triggers the camera's motion sensor. This could be anything from taking a corner too fast, breaking too hard, or hitting a bump and a higher speed than normal.

@11watupman I've looked at the video again. The truck stops with no indication of its intentions. She simply stops behind it leaving a reasonable distance. The truck puts it in reverse (totally unexpectedly) and then reverses in to her now stationary vehicle. You're one of these idiots who looks back in hindsight - it's easy to say she should have left more distance when you KNOW the truck is going to reverse back... but she didn't know that. And, she is most definitely hot. You have bad taste.

Look at 0:03 you can see him put reverse, thats when she should have stop and honk at him to let him know she's behind him. Please don't try to teach me how to drive, ive been driving for 10 years and never have been in an accident. Also you must be ugly as fuck if you think she's hot.
awesome. this is exactly why i bought a dash cam. i got paranoid after my last accident, middle of the night no one around and a young kid turned right in front of me when i had the green. theres no reason he couldnt have said he had the arrow. dash cam doesnt lie. unless you get a bad one. stupid lying dash cams piss me off

The girl stops fully 20 feet behind where the truck was stopped. Then the truck backs into her. The truck pulled too far past the parking space. The driver of the truck should have waited until she was clear before trying to parallel park. The driver of the truck is clearly at fault.
