Romney is a strong candidate. The problem is, many conservatives (including myself) are not sure that his "conservative conversion" is genuine.
Fred Thompson, on the other hand, has a clear, consistent conservative track record. And the liberal media hates him too :)

I appreciate your enthusiasm for Thompson. He is my candidate too. But Romeny is the 2nd most conservative candidate in the race (Duncan Hunter aside) and we should be ready to support him in the event that Fred pulls out.

Lowering taxes does not lower government income, rather it increases it, here's why, if the we keep more of our money, it is given that we will spend more therfore the amount of money in fluctuation will increase providing the government with the ability to tax the same amount of money more times! Well, just know that we ALL support the troops regardless of our differences on HOW best to attack the problem. I strongly believe that Dr. Paul is the only candidate who attacks problems mainly at the ROOT. This is the United States, not Russia. If not for enough PEOPLE (finally) waking up in 2006, the Commander-in-Chief (and his "ex" Secretary of Defense) would STILL be in denial. The PEOPLE forced him to do SOMETHING, albeit not enough. I live in south central Kentucky and have seen all the ads and followed Fred Thompson. He has always been a stand up man, even if he did vote with the democrates on the impeachment of Clinton. Everyone has there opinion and you do not have to vote with the republican party all of the time, you have to vote with what you think is right. He is pro state rights and believes that all states should have the right to make there laws.

I saw Fred today in SC! I sat 5 ft. from him while he spoke, my son sketched him and he signed it, I got a hug and a pic with him, I'm on a Fred Thompson high! Now, just gotta get through this primary! C'mon SC, don't let Fred down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
