  • You dare compare guitar pro with anything else that makes sounds?? :P ahahahahah i love it! But soundwise, it sucks. I used to have addictive drums, now i'm just checkin out ez drummer...i think that i am gonna use addictive drums again...friendly advice, they are all good, they all do the same (sept from gp which is only the best :P) you just need to figure out what you want. Good luck boys!

  • No doubt. Addictive Drums is the best!

  • El ez drumer esta mal usado... Tiene mucho room, y el el kit pop/rock suena mejor que todos... no lo saben usar

  • addictive drums !!! downloading free on taringa (H)! LOL!

  • midi ftw!

  • Addictive Drums. I do not regret buying it!

  • addictive is better!

  • addictive and ez could sound a lot better if you knew some things about mixing, using the right sounds e.t.c.

  • addictive drums is wayyyy more professional sounding and high quality. there is a reason why it cost so much money. ezdrummer is pure garage compared to addictive drums.

  • what kit did u use for addictive drums? its sounds real

  • MIDI FTW!

  • This is an unfair test, as personally i think that the Drum kit from hell in ez drummer sounds awful compared to some of the other kits, like the standard pop/rock kit. Also the drums are not in context to anything, if the Ez drums are mixed properly they can hit addictive drums out of the park :)

  • Are EZDrummer and Addictive Drums included with Cubase?

  • @race1717

    No

  • Session Drums for Ableton Live 8 is way better.

  • Addictive is much better!

  • AD! lejos

  • @eaglenature ur dumb... it sounds the worst. ez and are samples of actual drums and dont sound robotic if mixed right

  • addictive drums wins by far!

  • the first one sounds crappy

  • @sweetgyy you think?

  • OMG! MIKE LOGGED IN!

  • @Metaldude1945 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • yeah.. midi are signals. which controlls both EZ DFH,Adictive drums, and the first one - scores.but as a whole Adicttive drums is not best. snare sampling is not good.like if u play snare continiously,it will sound bad.but other kits are good.again EZ DFH has got snare too good and cymbals are good also.kick and tom bass is low. but i totally dislike the first one - scores. a good composition can be made by using snare from DFH and others from ADD. best of luck. dont ever use the first one..

  • Nice reportage dude!

  • EZDrummer can sound much better, you must check your levels and fix the sound of the snare... But, nice video ;)

  • Love the generic MIDI, reminds me of old school consoles...

  • Addictive Drums Winner.

  • any free ones that i can use on my electric drum set?

  • @ThePersianMAMBA man, just get addictive drums xDD, or ez drummer. Or battery 3, or stryker. You have millions millions

  • Addictive Drums is so addictive.

  • have you guys tried Mdrummer 4 its sick as hell

  • EZ is getting old and lacks options... AD all the way and GuitarPro5 sounds are not bad for a notation software...

  • AD es el mejor obviamente!

  • ADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • did you take the midi file from GP and import it into EZ and AD? if so, how the hell did you do that?! I've been trying to figure out for days haha

  • addictive drums best

  • I like guitar pro however ezdrummer is very useful on the road. But the guitar pro RSE's for gp5 werent the best. Even with GP6 I managed to find some flaws. Maybe Im just picky.

  • It sounds like the midi was tracked or programmed for addictive drums and then ported over to ezd. there is a lack of dynamic velocity for nuances ans ghost notes to make a decent comparison.

  • Dude, what the fuck are your Guitar Pro settings? O_o very cool video btw ;) i love those beats

  • Addictive Drums is my favorite. Really, for a lot of these programs, I think it comes down to personal preference. I see a lot of people saying that AD is the best virtual drummer on the market right now. So, I personally like AD, but there may not be a surefire 'best' of these three.

  • I like the Addictive drums.

  • i like ez

  • Wtf midi sounds shiiiittttt

  • Midi sounds best? You gotta be kidding me.

  • @movieklump Look at Wikipedia:

"MIDI is an industry-standard protocol that enables electronic musical instruments (synthesizers, drum machines), computers and other electronic equipment (MIDI controllers, sound cards, samplers) to communicate and synchronize with each other."

Addictive Drums and EZ Drummer are MIDI software too.

  • @lazrpo I was referring to the terminology of the video. Did you watch it? Maybe I should have said "midi" sounds best because that is how he referred to it and I knew exactly what he meant.

But thanks for taking the time to respond I may not have known this.

  • Hey Mike has just signed in.

  • meaning of MIDI

  • EZD is better

    Everyone have different likes

  • dude.. It's not the sound of midi, it's the sound of GP5, midi is just the signal which is send to each individual drum.

  • AD hats have no back varients... it sounds the same every hit, no taps or anything

  • It's all in the settings. You can get a very natural sounding drum sound with EZ drummers as you can with AD.

  • Ez Best ++

  • Mic a kit and track drums. :P

  • ad sounds most realistic other two sound synthetic

  • AD beastly !!!!...

  • Needs more cowbell!

  • Was the first one software called 'MIDI'? I like the way it came up as music, but AD easily sounded then best :)

  • @1997SAndrew It was guitar pro 5

  • i have a question.. how can i download the demo of AD??

  • In this video EZD sounds better then AD. My opinion.

  • @drogato86 Yeah, I dont know why everyone keeps saying AD. I think EZD is better.

  • @mario1136 i agree if your using drumkit from hell..the patterns are very realistic even when you program the beats yourself

  • @skatinsince97 Yeah, EZ drummer is just more authentic

  • HEY BA

  • MIDI sounded like crap -- don't know what eaglenature is talking about. Sounded obviously artificial. EZ drummer sounded very boxy and the cymbals lacked sparkle. Perhaps it just needed to be properly EQ'd. Addictive was easily the best and most natural sounding, but obviously had a lot more room mics in the mix. Would be interesting to compare to MIDI when mixed tighter and drier.

  • @danakerman Do you have a cold? I mean, since you couldn't smell the irony.

  • Addictive Drums is the BEST! It has REAL dinamics... not just volume... also every hit is a unique sound, not just one sound for every hit! Like a real drum.

  • Addictive Druuuumms

  • I think both EZDrummer and Addictive Drums rock! :D

Just gotta buy Addicitve Drums in addition to EZD now! ^_^

  • ADICTIVE DRUMS!!!!

  • Addictive Drums is my favorite

  • what program do you use to play ezdrummer?

  • @jlnineeightthree i think he's using cubase but you can use any DAW(digital audio workstation) that supports VST's. i use reaper

  • @jlnineeightthree I use Cubase

  • People who bash on EZ drummer dont realize that if you mess with the mixer... you can get a MUCH more realistic sound than Addictive Drums

  • @KyleJPie10

No, you can't, trust me on this one. AD drums are much, much better than EZ and more flexible. Yes, you can mess with the mixer in EZ, but in AD you have equilizer, reverb, pitch, mics, stereo, distortion, compressor that you can fully control and do whatever you want for every drum part individually. I've been using EZ drums for maybe 2 years (all packs) and I tried all NI Abbey Road drums, they all suck. Addictive Drums are simply on a higher level.

  • @TMTKowalski I guess it's just a matter of preference then. I've used both as well, and overall I am much happier with the sound that EZ Drummer delivers.

  • @TMTKowalski its great if you have the time to master every single little drum sound(AD).You can add effects to Ezdrummer after you put it in the program..i use ableton and i think its fast and very effective...all i got to do is find my groove drag/drop it into ableton then select that pattern to where i can change the beat however i want.i only use drumkit from hell.and using the ezdrummer mixer with some mixing in ableton i seem to get a very realistic and powerful sound(which is what i want)

  • @skatinsince97

If you ever played real acoustic drums (it's obvious you haven't), "mastering every single little drum sound" is all about drums besides playing them well. Just don't use "I clicked, it worked, it sounds good" as an argument. Noob arguments are funny though. Besides what I already said, you can combine all drum elements in AD from every pack. For example, you can take hihats from jazz pack, snare from funk pack, some cymbal from default pack, etc, and build your own drum set.

  • @TMTKowalski DAMN BRO you got all sad girl...i wasnt even starting an argument shows how childish peoples children are now a days...I dont play the drums as my main instrument IM A GUITAR PLAYER you obviously didnt understand that i like ezdrummer for how fast and easy it is to make backing tracks because i hate drummers(act like they know everything when they dont know shit about music)besides a few...how much you wanna bet i can make a way more epic/original song than you in a few minutes

  • @skatinsince97

If your music is epic like your comments, my fart is a fucking symphony.

  • @TMTKowalski thats quit an epic queef you got there

  • MORE COWBELL!

  • Addictive Drums For Me I just got my Addictive Drums And I'm Love It.

  • addictive drums ♥♥♥

  • mike has just signed in @1:38

  • to me ,

    midi = funny :p

    EZD = just okay

    AdD = AWESOME ! :D

  • midi sounds best

  • Longcat

  • I use Addictive Drums. Its easy to set up, and in my opinion, sounds better than the rest, and I have tried them all. Superior is pretty good, but has so much in it, its alittle overwelming. And Im having trouble getting it to work with my Alesis DM10 Kit. For ease of use, and great sounds, you cant go wrong with Addictive Drums.

  • this is a bit misleading because you seem to have just imported the midi file into each of the programs and let it play using presets, i could tell that you hadn't adjusted mix or mic properties for the ezdrummer one, and the dynamics on those drum rolls were all at the same velocity as the other snare hits...

ezdrummer could have made this track sound realistic and human with some easy adjustments...don't get the wrong idea about it people..

  • dude..... while using ezdrummer try to take care about the room volume

that made this song very wierd......

  • AD and EZ are midi too

  • @oLsoNaGe no, no no... they are virtual instruments and its not the same thing, ez drumer and ad are not midi.

  • @mariuscruz vst plugins .. yeah... controlled by midi signals

  • @oLsoNaGe No way, vst plugin are diferent. Ez drums y adicctive d are vsti, look in a vst you modify the signal of your instrument (guitar, piano, violin, etc) and music, a vsti is an instrument that plays a midi sequence, and mostly of times this vsti's do not use the same midi signals for playing the same part of the instrument or note. Understood?

  • @oLsoNaGe actually, they're not MIDI, they use PRERECORDED ACTUAL DRUM SOUNDS and only MIDI language to trigger them. the sounds on MIDI are MIDI, computer generated...but EZ and AD are pre-recorded ACTUAL sounds that are manipulated with the MIDI language. not quite the same thing:)

  • @oLsoNaGe no they work with midi, but actually they use real samples of drums, if you go to the "toontrack folder" (EZ) you will see that there are *.wav files ;D either in addictive drums

  • @punkrockpax dude i know..... but .mid-files are no sounds okay?!??!?!?!??!!??! thats the point... they just control the sampler / synthie... what eva

  • @oLsoNaGe ok, sorry but i just wanted to add a comment 'cause the nü ones can get confused, thats all (:

  • Comment removed

  • Pero estan hechos con samples, no con sintesis

  • @charlys32 sehe ich genau so

  • i always use addictive for my mixes. check it out. youtube . com / standaloneband

  • Ezdrummer sounds abit robotic like it needs more variation. I wonder how it plays with Vdrums though, if the layers sound better?

  • @tekNiqueAU it sounds "robotic" because he did not ajust the velocity ez drummer is very realistic if you know how to use it

  • not midi, but guitar pro. Midi is a way information is sent to any instrument, is not audio.

  • Hard to compare listening this in mono and so low bitrate... -_-'

  • exdrumer

  • SUPERIOR 2.0 KICKS ASS !!!!

  • Superior Drummer is better than all of these.

  • 2 Mdrummer better than EZ

    Or DRUMCORE 3

    BUT BETTER YET

    playing really seriously

    It is preferable not?

  • In fact, ezdrummer and addictive drums use midi. Midi is not audio, is a way informations is sent to instruments, but its a great video. thnx

  • midi is not music, there low quality wavetable synths and sample

  • xln wins this one

  • I have both, addictive drums and ez drummer with dfh...

You guys have to keep in mind that the drums from addictive drums are already edited with reverb, compressors, equalizer and all this stuff...

With ez drummer you have to do that by yourself in your sequenzer. If someone knows how to edit drum records, he can also make ez drummer sound insane but it needs a bit of skill. Of course addictive drums is more userfriendly then. Nice comparison by the way!

  • Considering price, EZD is still the better deal. And contrary to all you biased waterheads, it does sound just as pure as the Addictive series. However, EZD does take more tweaking. Adjusting velocities is key, which was not done at all for this demostration.

Bottom line, if you have the patience, EZD is just as effective. Also, the pack is upgradable to superior drummer, which also has multiple expansions.

  • 1:31 lol xD

  • cool do you think you can help me I have EZdrummer

but wen I try to play

it dosend sound and you know the mb on the bottom

its at 0 its not going up I dont know why

    thnaks

  • You're vote AD

  • need more cowbell!

  • i have addictive drums so it was nice to see that I made the right choice. it's so easy to use and sounds real.

  • Addictive Drums are far better than the rest. i've got EZdrummer DFH now, i have buyers remorse.

  • Love the cowbell solo at the end.

  • I have EZdrummer, it's pretty good. I haven't used Addictive Drums, but it seems to be the better of the two in this video. How much does Addictive drums cost? I got EZdrummer for like $100

  • If you would use a compressor on the Dfh drums they would sound much better

  • I think addictive drums is the best, the sound is more realistic. And also you have lots of options to edit all the sounds to create almost any kind of sound you want.

EZdrummer has more additional packs though..

  • addictive drums sounds killer although i wasnt too into the kick, ezdrummer is cool if ya just wanna have fun or simply lay ideas down and it runs smoothly on pretty much ANY pc/laptop where as i can imagine AD would take a bit a muscle to run properly (tho i could be mistaken)

  • @MrAdammassacre Actually AD runs really smoothly, and for me it loads even more quickly than ez drummer.

  • gp5 <3

  • Addictive Drums is superior!

  • midi is so poor..

  • I like EZDrummer.

  • midi sucks

  • Well, general midi is different, but out of the drum vsts personally I would choose EZ drummer because it has expansion options but there both very real sounding.

  • I'm sorry, but you didn't mix these drums very well.. Try turning down the room mics, turn up the snare top and kick, maybe put a little compression on it. DFH has a nice big sound, but not if you mix it like this.

  • i hate the snare in drum kit from hell but i like dfh for all its cymbals and toms

  • EZ Drummer Kicks all others!

  • i just got EZdrummer and i'm getting bored of the sound, theres nothing much you can do with it. i'm thinking of buyin addictive drums. can we use it in mac os?

  • Addictive drums definitely sounds more real, but the bass drum is too ringy for me. I would dampen it more.

  • It's not "MIDI", it's "Microsoft Wavetable Synth"...

  • @L0n3Sn1p3r The MIDI information is telling MS Wavetable Synth what to play.

  • @Satchboy71 Right, but it's also MIDI information who tells EZDrummer and Addictive Drums what to play... so they are all "MIDI drums".

  • @L0n3Sn1p3r That isn't Microsoft Wavetable Synth.

  • @Penguindog55 lol, then tell me, what is it then?

  • @L0n3Sn1p3r Well the so called midi drums in demo 1 sound like 12 bit PCM samples from either a hardware drum machine or keyboard. The so called Microsoft Wavetable Synth features samples from the Roland Sound Canvas synth modules ( mainly SC-55 sounds but some SC-88 sounds ). The only reason I know this is because Sound Canvas and Microsoft Wavetable Synth don't have any sounds of this sort.

  • @Penguindog55 Well, to me it sounds like an usual Guitar Pro 5 Sound without RSE. Guitar Pro without the Realistic Sound Engine uses the Microsoft Wavetable Synth if no other hardware is connected and chosen, it also includes some Drum Kits. But of course, we can only know, what hard- or software he used only when the author tells us..

  • i personally tried them all and recorded with them all and by far superior drummer 2.0 has a higher game

  • well, first of all it really depends on what kind of music you want to do. i think AD does a great job and might be the "overall winner" in this competition. But people should think about what this means if one sets this in relation to the costs. AD is nearly twice as expensive as EZD and if you for example just want to give an electronic track more "organic" elements EZD would do a great job either, being less expensive ;)...

  • can someone tell me how to create my own beats in addictive drums and put them into my pro tools session??? help is very much appreciated

  • @Darkcrimson123 Well I use guitar pro 5 and export as midi and use it in ezdrummer (same with AD) and if you record it or just put it in a pro tools track it should turn it pretty good

  • But i couldnt find the MIDI program nowhere, is it called just MIDI or something else? Can enyone send link or something please.

  • @TheBetterPeter It's called Guitar Pro 5.

You can create beats with all types of instruments there though the sound is a bit cheap.

  • wow i have looked rof a program like a first for a long time, thanks dude!

  • addictive have the better sound the better tuning system the better room acustic more dünamic all is better by addictive drums than the euz drums if you understand the system how it works. you hear it by the end of the snear rolls ther givs no compromize ad is the winner with a big distance.

  • addictive sounds like the better of the two but ... ive heard ez drummer sound that phat possibly even phater with a bit of tweaking

  • EZdrummer could of been tweaked alot better! your just using the stock sounds.

  • I think addictive drums is better.

  • is this the RSE drum sound of guitarpro or the normal midisound?

  • mmm... EZDRUMMER RULZ.. xD... -.-... xD

  • do i need any programs to run this drum kit? plz replay

  • Addictive drums! Sick!!!

  • What do you think is better?

  • Addictive drums is amazing

  • midi or addictive

  • addictive sounds the most human, although could do with less reverb on the bass drum, and less ambiance in the overheads. Bass drum is too boomy for this style of music... The EZDrummer probably has the most potential, just need to change up the velocities on some of the individual notes to make it sound more "imperfect" if you will...

  • hey we are playing with ezdrummer too, sounds really individual like real drums.

combined with revalver mk3 guitar effect rack system creating own metal riffs and heavy metal sessions. visit our channel, shreddlearner.

  • The key to make EZ drummer sound good is to build the track with the grooves it comes with, then fine- tune them to your specific song. You exported you MIDI drum track from Guitar Pro and then played it on EZ Drummer, and Addictive Drums. But GTP exports every note with a fixed velocity of 127, so your MIDI track has no dynamics, it will always sound like crap in any drum software no matter how good.

Check my Black Sabbath covers, I used EZ drummer and it doesn't sound THAT fake...
