@clickshot5 Datsyuk has the shot to back it up, and nobody in the game today has dangling skills CLOSE to Datsyuk's. Not to mention how he's the best defensive forward in the game. When on top of his goals scored, you count how many goals he prevents, he's better than Crosby. Datsyuk is also generally paired with Holmstrom, whose knees are falling apart, and is only good for screening at this point, then Franzen is prone to immense cold streaks. His linemates can be as bad as Crysby's at times.

Sometimes he makes a pass when he should have made a shot, but he is always looking out for the better of the team. Thats why the Wings are still in the playoffs and Datsyuk is their best player, despite the fact that he isn't nearly 100% right now. Someone should teach Crysby to play through and injury.

@AlexOvie8jr I love crosby, but disagree. David Krejci and Ville Leino... two of the most underrated players. Theres a video of Leino holding onto the puck for like 30 seconds or something, and krejci almost never loses the puck when battling on the boards. I think its one of the most undervalued talents.

Crosby is a team player, all of the pens are. Malkin hogs the puck more than Crosby does, but that is the reason they are so successful. Teamwork, one player does not make a team. People who like ovechkin like him because he is old time hockey. If you never watched hockey before the 1990's you won't know what I'm talking about. He throws his body around and isn't afraid to make contract. Old time guys like Bobby Orr could be the best player on the ice, but were still ever inch as physical and would drop the gloves not wine to the refs. While crosby is a great playmaker, he isn't the full package that ovechkin is.

@clickshot5 Datsyuk has the shot to back it up, and nobody in the game today has dangling skills CLOSE to Datsyuk's. Not to mention how he's the best defensive forward in the game. When on top of his goals scored, you count how many goals he prevents, he's better than Crosby. Datsyuk is also generally paired with Holmstrom, whose knees are falling apart, and is only good for screening at this point, then Franzen is prone to immense cold streaks. His linemates can be as bad as Crysby's at times.

@clickshot5 You are a huge idiot. Datsyuk could put up 60 goals a year if he wanted to. He is the least selfish player in the league, and that is actually his biggest weakness. Sometimes he makes a pass when he should have made a shot, but he is always looking out for the better of the team. Thats why the Wings are still in the playoffs and Datsyuk is their best player, despite the fact that he isn't nearly 100% right now. Someone should teach Crysby to play through and injury.

He can score when he wants to but hes not a pure scorer so he does other things to make plays. Also I wouldnt call his stats "Shitty". They may not be the MOST GOALS. Theres a video of Leino holding onto the puck for like 30 seconds or something, and krejci almost never loses the puck when battling on the boards. I think its one of the most undervalued talents.

Just this past season, he has at least 2 goals scored like that (against Kaberle of the Leafs & JayBo of the Flames)...and that's just on top of my head. Crosby is an all around great player. Even if he is a little bitch. Ovie a better goalscorer, but I hate him. Kovalchuk is my favorite but him and Ovie both hog the puck and score. Crosby is a team player, all of the pens are. Malkin hogs the puck more than Crosby does, but that is the reason they are so successful. Teamwork, one player does not make a team. Whether it be Ovie for the caps, Kovalchuk for his former Thrashers. Its a team sport.

People who like ovechkin like him because he is old time hockey. If you never watched hockey before the 1990's you won't know what I'm talking about. He throws his body around and isn't afraid to make contract. Old time guys like Bobby Orr could be the best player on the ice, but were still ever inch as physical and would drop the gloves not wine to the refs. While crosby is a great playmaker, he isn't the full package that ovechkin is.
