Why don't you fit those straps that are sold by mg mania ? I've only had my tf a couple of months and only had the roof down to hoover the interior but i'll be getting some of those straps for the summer.
@MrMoonwalkers If I needed them, I would fit them. I've just completed 7600 miles since last July. Only had the roof up for 400 of them. So, I'm used to just knocking the second bar back when dropping the roof now. I'm sure they would be helpful for others though. I'll be using MG Mania when I need a new rear window though for sure. Thanks for the comment. :)
@LeighPing If you check one of my other videos called 'MGTF Pulling the roof up over the windstop', you can see me opening the roof whilst sitting inside the car at 45 seconds.
@Quayside282 It's a 'mid-engined' car. The engine is accessed via a lengthy process of unclipping the rear hood fastenings and taking out the metal bolt plates on the engine cover. That is then removed to allow engine access.
It's not ideal. But it's only required for things other than routine maintenance. Routine oil and coolant checks are done by opening the boot to reveal a small access panel.
@Quayside282 There's plenty of 'how to' guides on the T-Bar forum (the link to get there is in the description above). There's one for the coolant alarm, as well as hundreds of other guides, videos and pictures. If you want to ask any more questions, they also do quizzes there. ;)
