The main problem I saw for Shogun was the reach factor. Because of Jones' long reach Shogun had too much distance to cover just to land strikes.

You people cannot be serious...Jones would obliterate Silva!!! he is too big too strong and would literally rag doll him round the ring. Did you not see how Chael Sonnen neutralised Silva with his wrestling for the majority of their fight?!? And Jones is a monster compared to Sonnen. GSP and Silva would be the super fight to match up.

@UFCFights11 dude its a lot different fighting the late chuck liddell and macheater.. they dont push the pace at all.. jon jones is active in the clinch, active on the ground and very active in the standup.. he was a successful wrestler, and if you watch a lot of ufc you'll notice that the good wrestlers can drain an opponent's energy without it being very visible to the audience... not to mention the having his breathing smothered, legkicks, body punches, body kicks/knees, and kicks to the knee

@UFCFights11 That was the real Shogun, he didn't gas for no reason. Jones beat the fight out of him in that first round. I was there, it was electric. We were waiting all night for a fight worth watching, this made 7 hours of crap fights worth it. I was one of the ones who didn't believe in Jones, I thought Shogun would walk through him. The guy is for real, no doubt.
