what are you covering your distributor with?
right now, mine is jerry rigged in a latex glove. but im trying to figure out something a little more effective and longer lasting.

but you still have an electronic distributor, a little black box that your plugs go to.
maybe yours is in a better local than mine, but anytime mine gets wet i can barely make it home.
Just sits ontop of the motor , never had a problem with water affecting it ,

Nope no snorkel, air intake is in where the spare tyre would normally be
Was there any noticeable decrease in engine performance having the air intake that far away from the engine? Or did it sort of act like a cold air intake?

It is running an Impreza 1.8 multi point injected motor so it went really well, motor is now in a trike :)
