If you're younger than me you're pretty young, probably not an adult. But believing something regardless of the evidence can make people narrow-minded. I had the personal misfortune to have Fred Phelps and his gangsters come to my campus to protest a play about Matt Sheppard. They didn't receive a warm welcome, but were not harassed, which is what they want, because suing people over it is how they make their money. Ironically, they created so much publicity that the play was sold out every single night! I don't think Freddy's flock believes the things they say, I think they just follow a different god - cold hard cash.

Georgia is still in a drought. It rained for a few hours, as PREDICTED by the National Weather Service BEFORE the prayer was held.
It was going to rain anyways before they started praying and it still didn't help. That's a pretty lame "miracle".

Faithis, he prayed for rain while it had not rained for weeks. I live in Atlanta. It did rain that night. I don't recall the news forcasting rain. I'm not saying there wasn't a forecast for rain HOWEVER there wasn't a "Look, he knows it is going to rain and he's going to try and prove a point" argument going around either. So, there you go. Just an observation when I was here and you probably weren't.

Faithis, I was also listening to local broadcaster Neil Boortz that morning. Boortz was making fun of Perdue when it was announced he was going to pray. It was a relatively big news story. They never mentioned in the news that morning that it was forcast to rain. Boortz had egg on his face the next day and conveniently didn't mention a thing.
You can take it for what it is worth. I'm no Bible thumper by any means however it is rather funny IMHO and somewhat satisfying.

I think that your vid is pretty biased, even though I am an atheist and against religion. Trying to make a religion look bad, by showing people that did stuff, who happen to follow that religion isn't right, it's like a lawyer that digs up all the dirt on peoples lives to try and discredit them in court.
