Watching this for a blog I'm working on about reality shows. I grew up on this show. I forgot about what a good show it was and how even back in the sixties people were not afraid to talk about racism like they are now. Now instead of talking about it, people resort to violence all in the name of "difference"

I've always firmly believed that while I cannot control the color of my skin, I can control how I live life, speak, achieve, and stand in this world. I have never believed that my color would incline me to live within perpetuated stereotypes, and thus I do not; I'm quite far from it. It's unfortunate that you've not encountered the many who are described such as in TruthSeeker's response. Hopefully you will.

In generalizing, one can likewise say that you're behind and still have a long way to go as an accuracy. I've personally never had to 'come a long way', I was already there.
