  • these are awesome, but IMO the 240z is the real classic :)

  • beautiful cars going to look at a 77 this weekend

  • I have the Bronze one...same year. Just bought it in February. It is still awesome FAST. Mine isn't near as pretty but close :)

  • datsun.

    we are..... DRIVEN!

  • Do you notice that these drive differently at all?

  • Sounds like my 83, almost like a tractor, but once warmed up they like to party.

  • Very nice looking Z's! I learned to drive in a white '77. Great memories!

  • thanks sir.

  • I'm liking the music at the end! I'd like to get a Z soon as my first car...only a year away.

  • I have a 78 280z bluish that is pretty much identical to yours, I put a new body kid and got rid of the bumpers, new whees plus paint job, but you got some beautiful cars my man!

  • Nice! ^__^

  • Great looking cars. Also cleared one thing up for me: ive belived for some time now that the 280z looked like the zx (newer design). So ive been steering away from them in ads and stuff because i like the classic 240/260z look. But now i can see that a 280z also could be a way to go.

  • im considering getting a datsun 280z restoring project going

  • nice i have a 1983 same color blue as yours not one rust stpot on the car never been out side in the rain or winter all ways in a garge

  • BEAUTIFUL cars u have there!

I wish I owned either one of them

  • i use to own one of these rust buckets in high school back. awful car. no horse power, the whole thing rusted out, including the floor boards. i could actually put my hand through the floor board and hit the pave ment. the dashboard cracked, the fuel injectors had gas coming out of them. but it did help get me some pussy. :-)

  • Yeah some rusty pussy..

  • if you call your sister rusty then so be it.

  • Sounds like it had some shitty owners to me.

  • DAMN THOSE ARE BEAUTIES!!!

sad cause i cant get one....those fairladys are my dream

  • well my 1983 280z governs out at 130 so i dont think that they can do 160 plus.

  • wow they look like new! the First gen. Z is nice and the 2nd gen. one looks like mine! =D haha

  • Forgive the ignorance here, Can these cars go 165? I have a neighbor that swears he would do 160+ all the time and that, at that speed the car was more planted. I ask cause, I have the new 370z and don't know if it could even do 165.

By the way, "Queen-Flash song" epic!

  • I had mine up to 134mph after a good minute legging it out flat on the floor. That was a stock '76 with A/C and my g/f on-board. We had just gotten 130mph on-car balancing at Gran Turismo that morning and what was most memorable was the steering wheel was buttery smooth at that speed.

  • @Vectorsumio Mine the "81 still does 165 or a bit more if you have enough road.

  • When I was in high school I had a 78 Z. it was the best car I ever owned. the only thing that ever went bad on it was the air flow meter.

0-60 wasn't the best but 70 mph plus rocked. I had it up to 130...and that's not shabby.

  • I have a couple Z-cars, 1978.

with restoration I hope for good advice to save expenses.

Is a carpet kit any bettr or worse than a custom cut carpets. ZI also dont know how to "know the finest materials such as long lasting foam seat insert etc.

Should I paint the car before or after the interior plastics and carpets refrubishments.

Under the hood all the bushings and boots, in general all 30 year old rubber pieces should be replaced.

  • Recommend you paint the car before you do the interior work and replace all the rubber because you can strip the car of the windows and replace the rubber in doors and window after painting. I bought carpet kit and didn't research custom so can't answer question on that. When you strip the car, you don't want a nice interior to get dirty from all the work.

  • my dad has one, but it isnt stick and he doesnt want me to mod it. what sucks even more is some bastard hit the car and drove off so there a dent in the rear.

  • FOR SALE ... im a buyer ...man

  • im sad you have 2 i cant even get 1

  • nice z's i myself am not a fan of the zx but that s30 body is nice. i've got a 76 with a shit load of parts ready to install =]

  • I got a '77 280z last week. its silver like the one here but the hood is faiding and its a little rusted but the rest of the paint is great. things i need to fix on it is the paint and the interior carpeting, but a great car with pretty good milage and i only got it for $730 :-)

  • I'm gettin' one today ( No lie!) I'll post plenty of pics. and vids.

  • Now there are some good looking cars! I can tell by this video that you are highly intelligent and have insanely good taste. I wouldn't be surprised if you are handsome too. Keep up the good work Carman!

  • We've got the same mate, yours is in much better condition :(

    /watch?v=fyb1Q7jsj4o

  • If any of you live in the dallas area i have a 1976 280z that i might sell...message me for more information

  • why was he playing "flash gordon the movie" themr song in the car,lol

  • I'd LOVE to get my hands on and in either one of these. I like the body style of the 240Z and I'm sure it's easier to work on than the 280ZX too, but I assume the fuel economy isn't as good.

I'm on the lookout, if anyone would be willing to part with a solid but unrestored one for an incredibly low price... like that's likely.

  • I just bought my 1976 280z 2+2 last week can't wait to get started on it...

  • nice collection; I have a silver 77 like yours, only a 2+2, & not as nice exterior. Take good care of them; they're getting pretty darn scarce!

  • the brown one looks exactly the way ours looked back in 1982.

  • Nice Z Cars! I was scared to buy one at first 10 years ago but they are SUPER EASY to work on! An excellent first car for the mechanically minded if you can still find one that hasn't been dogged out.

Good Job my friend! Keep up the good work!

  • I'm getting one that has a rusted dent in the front and what we think to be a bad fuel pump and there's a rat in the glove compartment

  • Love it. Had a silver 240. Please lose the grant and put the original steering wheel on though

  • 240Z? Where in the heck did you get that?

  • My Gawd. You totally made those cars look bitch'n! :-D They look really sharp.

  • I've had both and prefer the 280Z! One of the best carz ever made!

  • Hey, i bought one of these off ebay... nice car.... have a few problems with it, lol... but it turns heads!

  • I also have a '77 280z but yours is in way better condition. Love the interior!

  • You like Datsun car a lots dont you?

  • Yes. If I had more money and garage space, I would own many more.

  • sweeeeeeeet z's dude

  • Thanks. I am very proud of them. The hardest part of my day, is deciding which one I am going to drive. It is a tough life.

  • what a beauty i wish those where mine!!
