  • This song is more precious than gold or diamonds. And no, Unsung didn't bring me here. Freddie did. I need a dose of his music when I want to feel beautiful. : D

  • That was the best 30 minutes (6 listens) I've had in a while.

  • Will someone upload "I'm waiting by Freddie Jackson?

  • I am 41 years old now and I still feel the same

  • As I sit here watching unsung I am that 17 year old girl wishing he was singing to me. I just want to hear Mr. Jackson sing this song exactly the way he recorded it with one exception, I want him to want to replace "Hey Lover" with "Hey LoLa" I really want to know what it sounds like from the vocals of such an extrordinary instrument such as, Freddie Jackson.

  • I bought a best of Freddie Jackson cd from Walmart and this song was featured on there!! It was definitely a forgotten about favorite classic of mine!!! Love this song!

  • love this song..one of my favorites by Freddie...they don't sing like this anymore!

  • I watched a bio on him the other day, its too bad that Melba Moore and her husband scrwed him over, he could still be getting money from his old albums.

  • luv making music

  • Grown and Sexy

  • I wish music was still this soulful!

  • WOW, I totally forgot about this one too. FREDDIE was the man back when. This was released in 1988 off the album "Don't Let Love Slip Away" which produced two #1 singles. Hey Lover was one of them. Too bad this type of music is just not heard anymore. I wonder how many babies were conceived off of this song. LOL.

  • like this song

  • This song is still strong !!!

  • love it

  • zika do baile

  • this is my fav jam

  • Hey lover....lol

  • My mom used to play this cassette all the time and got me into it. Reminds me of freshman year in HS fall '88 ;-0

  • @BossDogg39 I Agree

  • Love this song

  • I randomly heard this on the radio late one night when I was somewhere between 14 and 16 years old. I didn't know the name of it, but by listening to it, I could tell it was released around 1988 or so since I already had his first two albums. I bought it off eBay and was in heaven. Love this jam!

  • Man this makes me tear up, luv it!

  • AQJONES2798 I totally agree I don't see how this isn't considered one his greatest. That whole album had some great hits when it came out in '88. But this was definitely underrated!

  • The King of Love Music.. Freddie... No one like him.. His love ballads, his romance.. his songs, his music, his passion.. no one else can compare to him.. Gotta love some Freddie Jackson!

  • @BossDogg39 Now now, I'm every bit a Freddie fan, but the King of Love Music. I thing Luther Vandross had a lot to say about that, don't you think, Boss?!?!

  • Another good jam!

  • A very underappreciated song! One of his greatest ever!

  • This is my all time favorite Freddie Jackson tune hands down!

  • @rede4u1999 this was his best, wasn't it?

  • @incdogrobber Yes in my honest opinion & it came at a time that was very special to me.

  • @rede4u1999 I'd like to read about that if you don't mind sharing.

  • @incdogrobber Well basically it was around '88 & I was a high school Junior. And at the time that song came out things were going very well. And it reminds me of a girl I was seeing at that time though we weren't in a serious relationship we shared some really great times. And to this day I'll always think of her when I hear that song.

  • @rede4u1999 Wish I could hear it this has been restricked that sucks..

  • Simply a classy tune.

  • Classic...

  • always loved this & still do! such a sexy & chillaxed song!

  • Funny how he never wore a tie with any of his suits!

  • At the end of 2010 Freddie Jackson released a new studio CD on the Entertainment One Music Label. Freddie Jackson’s new album "For You" showcases his easy crooning style. The album was created by well-known producer Barry Eastmond. The album features his single I Don’t Wanna Go and many of the songs showcase boudoir-ready ballads and sweet, yet sensual vocalizing.

  • Mr. Jackson had such a beautiful voice, such a wonderful style. This gentleman could get down, just think he was a little eclipsed by Luther. There was more than enough room for both of them! Melba Moore discovered Freddie, so you know he was bad! This song is so beautiful and the background singers sound like angels to me. Went to a party and danced off of this all night long. :D

  • @9876543217303 so true!!
