  • I like the 4-10-2 helper

  • What an AWESOME layout man!

  • Is this brass?

  • @GECP4256 this is Brass, yes. almost all of the engines are brass.

  • @ownry I see, bras is th best of all Model Trains.

  • @GECP4256 well. I own only one brass engine. they are very expensive and they look great. the brass steam engines on this SP Shasta layout have each been tuned up to work very well. It appears that in the past couple years, numerous well running, good looking, plastic steam engines have been introduced. I have not made a detailed comparison so cannot really claim one is better than other.

  • @ownry Ahh... I see.

  • Hello, this is a first class railroad all the way! Is there a site where I could view more of the railroad along with a track plan?

  • Kato needs to make a unskirted GS-4 in N scale

  • Someone has to fix the Chuff rate on that engine....

  • @mountainlova1009 yes, it would be nice to fix the chuff. he has 25 engines on the layout wiht this capability. thank you for posting

  • @ownry

CV116 is the one for the chuff rate.

  • awsome do you have coal and a water tower

  • did the one engine that was pulling the passenger train have sound or not

  • are theses ho scale

  • @FatSeal45 yes, they are HO scale.

  • where is this located?

  • @09jrasner703 this is located in Bay Area

  • @ownry where in the bay area i live in nut creek

  • Beautiful modelling. Great looking train. Must say though that 4457 should have had skirts and been red and orange during pre-streamlined era of Cascade. 4431 was black during this time and assigned to Portland Oakland trains.

  • very nice video! looks to me like the chuffing is not in sync?

  • I believe the passenger cars, And correct me if I'm wrong, some of them were Brass, like the Observation Car, and Diner, the rest look like either Walthers or Branchline Cars. Anyway Excellent camera work and modeling.

  • @HunterR909 you are correct. most are brass

  • Where did they get the passenger cars? Is it Bachmann

  • @8010cookie SP Passenger cars are brass

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL video!!! I´m so happy to see my two most favorite american steam locomotives (GS-4 black & deskirted and SP-1/2/3) in one video doubleheading a nice passenger consist!

Hope to see more in future!

  • awesome layout! I hope someone adjusts the chuff rate on the 4457 though!!!

  • Whow! Beautiful layout! Is this the one that was fetured in MR? It looks simialr to me.

  • @SLSF1522 - yes this was in MR and will be in 2011 GMR!

  • Ok, great! I've read that artical more times then I can count, Dunsmuir is one of if not my favorite places to railfan, and this really shows how it was well. I'll be sure to get the next GMR (knowing MR it'll be up for preorder next month, lol).

  • @SLSF1522 just remember it will be the 2011 edition not 2010.
