@fr4nk13 Haha. Yeah well, frankly, I haven't been a fan of As Cities Burn since TJ deviated from them. I agree with you playing under the influence affects the bands performance. Some bands can get away with doing it, while other bands can not. I just can't really hear them playing badly because the video quality. I agree with you though.
I'm a "Christian" I guess. I don't care if he was drunk or not but you can't say that he didn't fuck up that song. It definitely wasn't improve lol it was messed up.
He actually admitted he was drunk in an interview so stop arguing about it. He was definately drunk, he made a mistake...don't bash him for it. He's still a genius.
My grandfather lost his life to liquor. He was driving, sober, but when he got home he realized that the devil is very real indeed and was at the bottom of a tequila bottle. When that worm (Worm, snake in the garden!?) at the bottom reached his soul an he felt the fires of hell in his bossom he killed himself in the heart
hes not drunk, do you know how bored some musicians get of playing the same song over and over again thousands of times, cut him some slack for trying to change it up a little bit, Ive seen people play when they are drunk, if he could do this while drunk, then he is surely a guitar god,( even though he is already) but you get my point, hes just changing it up, and if you watched other videos youd see he changes it up often so you sir are a retard, and noone gives a shit that your christian :D
well he cleared it up in an interview done (i forget where) and he said he was drunk but he regrets it. he also said something along the lines of it isn't his place to be so careless with the gift that God has given him with this band and he apologized.
this just shows that they are human. you can't get hung up about this night. i mean this song pretty much is talking about making mistakes. just listen to the lyrics
WHAT TO SAY?? this is the really big sin, bigger then other, no to be drunk, but because he provoke a lot of christian, i dont judge him, iam just saying...
I can't argue that Cody isn't amazing, and I can't argue that ACB is a group of amazingly talented musicians. That doesn't change the fact that he was drunk that night.
If your talking about his singing, he's a horrible singer already. He doesn't need to be drunk to sing bad and the sound quality is so bad i cant tell if they're playing is messed up.
lol he basically says in the hoard he likes to blaze its whatevers.... theyre nothing wrong with having a drink or a joint. no where in the bible does it ever say anything about marijuana, or having a drink.
and the bible also says to not have sex with your mother (lev 18:7) as it would dishonor your father so you should stop eating her out just to get a later curfew...
if they all shot heroin, smoked crack, and smoked some meth before a show, it wouldnt change their music capabilities at all. i mean all the greats were on something its a fact.
exactly! or even if they killed babies and ate their remains just to shit them out again and eat the shit it's all the same. bands just want to have fun so let them do their thing without people like frank getting all whiny assed french about it
sounds like cody is ripping it more than usual frank. frank, i dont think you know these guys well enough, if at all to understand where their heart and convictions lie enough to post this video.
you say it's from a "professional standpoint" to show what alchol can do. why dont you post a pantera video or something where dime was hammered?
dude...who cares if he was really drunk or just playing bad. I do believe he is a grown man and can do whatever he wants wenever he wants. I agree it would have been a disappointment but still, you got to see as cities burn live and converse with them obviously...isn't that enough? Nobody's perfect, everyone makes mistakes, im sure you curse, im sure you've looked at porn on the net...im sure youve drank or smoked. No1 is perfect. give them a break...you should really consider taking this down.
Im ok with cody being drunk! honestly i believe he is drunk!!! but thats ok with me, it only tells me that he is a human, like all of us! xD I still love as cities burn, and is still my favorite band!! And cody is my favorite guitarrist/vocal!!!!! this doesn`t change anything about the way i see the band! but i dont now what were your true intentions frank! if it was to couse bad feelings on the band and in us fans....hahahahah shame on you man! XD
but this is all showing us about your "character" that you think so much of yourself that if you grace a band that you like with your presence by giving them your hard earned money (probably by blowing someone) that they need to play with how good you think they should sound. they drank. big fucking deal. you didn't think it was good enough for you. big fucking deal. why don't you just get the sand out of your vagina and just enjoy music instead of complaining that it isn't good enough for you

i think it is ridiculous how many of you talk about this band, and slander their name by posting a video with this title.
The band is amazing, and they may or may not have been drunk, but that is besides the point.
i bet half of you talking about them being intoxicated have been that way at least once in your life. and to talk bad about a band because they may have been "drunk" is entirely hypocritical.
I've been drunk, but I've never performed music drunk. And I've never showed up to my job drunk. I've never made people pay $15 to come see me on stage while my drunk ass attempts to perform music.
And slander is when the said argument is false, and the said statement is a defamation of character for the individual or party involved.
well, first of all YOU yourself say "Rumor has it" in your description, if it's true, than change the description, also the camera fades in and out, and has terrible feedback. if he was drunk, that's fine. good job capturing it and being an ass by posting it, if not and they were just having a bad night, good job capturing it and being an ass, by posting it.
though they do not sound as nice as the numerous times i've seen them, i can say they did much better than many bands i've seen.
frank your a bitch. i dont know but i bet your a bitch. who cares if the man is drunk he is a grown man. this isnt even for sure that he was drunk. your just a bitch. eat and die.
also, all the trash everyone keeps talking on them might be really discouraging for them. i'm not saying that it is, but it might be. you guys are saying things like they're failures and that you'll never support them again. AND you keep contributing to all the rumors about them. just show some support to a band that you love and have more faith in them.
i think this is overdue, but i just wanted to say something about it.
first off, they weren't drunk. it was just a bad show...ever hear of bands playing bad shows? i'm sure all the people in bands that left negative comments on this video are in bands and play bad shows every now and then.
I heard he was drunk at the Mobile show as well. And now thanks to that whole thing, they're not going to be booked around this area ever again (or at least by that particular booking agency). :( I have no problem with them drinking. I'm a Christian, I'm over 21, and I don't mind having a drink myself at times. However, getting completely wasted before a show is just unprofessional. I still think they're a great band though and eagerly anticipate their next album.
haha. dude "the hoard" is a song that implies sarcasm to how fed up he is with what christianity has become. how everyone says they are christians, but WHEN SOMEONE MAKES A MISTAKE AND DRINKS OR SMOKES they point their fingers at them and shun them saying your going to hell, instead of forgiving them. thats why in the song it states "cause it's all about what you've done, good boys don't make mistakes to learn from, cause when heaven comes, they won't be caught being young"
actually i think thats a sarcastic line in the song about people's really high standards toward others. but he definitely is a christian, but i guess he just screwed up this time. i dont hold it against them, i just hope they dont do it again
i don't think he was drunk. All I have to say is that they're human and you don't know they're going threw. For you to expect them to go on stage on put on a great performance if there is pain or whatever in their lives is complete bull. i don't know whats going on with them but like their myspace said, your words carry weight.
i know he wasnt drunk. they played here (mississippi) two nights before and they sounded the exact same, and i was front row and didnt smell any alcohol. they played the exact same way as they are in this video. it is their live show now, they get really really into it.
Ok. I was there and was face to face with Cody. I talked to him and I could smell alcohol on his breath. Not to mention when they first pulled in the parking lot someone opened their car door and a brown bottle fell out. It might have only been root beer but they make more beer bottles than root beer bottles. Now Im not goin to get in the debate of them drinking alcohol as christians, but I will say that it was very unprofessional. This is their job and they shouldnt take it so light.
Everyone just needs to calm down about this situation because one if you were at the show and could tell he was drunk than thats one thing but the fact that the sound quality isn't good enough to tell really if he is or if it was just a bad show of his voice giving in. From what i hear, it wasn't a great show, but they have always perform well the 10 or more times i have seen them.
also take in consideration the only person acting excentric is cody.Robert,Colin, and Chris played relitively normal.Chris told me the rewrote the songs a little and was experimenting in just Jamming Old School he said. And it wasnt like it was uneasy either Cody was having fun and loving everythingAnd I respect thatSo if all your saying is it effected their performance then maybe this you can see it from an artistic view like me and let it be known it was an intamite outside the box performance
Please think long and hard before you decide to watch this video, or post a comment. Nobody wants to say anything they will regret. Personally I don't think i'm going to watch it. Just please, even if you think your comment is "right" watch what you say.
Pretty sure they're all of age to have a drink or two. Also, I'm also pretty sure that they are human beings, just like you & I. In regardless, them drinking or even showing up to a show a little/very intoxicated and playing a show isn't the best decision for them.
It happens!
Oh, and let's be real now, this really wouldn't be a big deal if they weren't a Christian band.
i'm glad they got drunk. now christians can take over the drinking world and fuck with everyone's drinking highs.
but for cereal... who cares if they did get drunk? lets face it, if everyone in the crowd was drunk too they'd enjoy it and there would be no more angry little 12 year olds on youtube or acb's myspace page
I don't care if they drink. It doesn't bother me at all what they choose to do with their lives. What bothers me is that their drinking interfered with their performance. That's ALL I'm trying to say here
if one bad performance ruins your opinion of a band you shouldn't listen to good music with the rest of us but to little kids music so when your little feelings are hurt when big people are doing their big people things you can rest assured that your little music friends are as clean as michael jacksons left hand
I'm not upset about a bad performance. I'm upset that they weren't being professional. They're job is to perform. Would you show up to your job drunk? What about if your job was talking about God?
entertainment? if you want entertainment go watch britney spears dance like a hooker buddy. music like this isn't entertainment. as cities burn aren't entertainers. they are musicians. go learn something about music.
They are "musicians" that are getting paid to perform. so they should just wait until after they play to drink. I have no problem with people who drink, or drinking, its just retarded. I'm sure they aren't proud of the performance, but i mean...it is kind of their fault for allowing their singer to drink. The rest of them were sober.
why are you acting tough towards everyone. obviously this video is going to offend people, man. you shouldn't act like a jerk to someone who is kind enough to watch your stinkin' videos. and as cities may of been drunk while they played, but that's no reason to place judgement upon them. it's none of your fucking business what they like to do with their bodies. like i said before, they did nothing illegal, and you're bashing them for it.
I'm not trying to act tough towards anyone. This is an internet discussion, nothing more. I'm not placing judgment on their character, just on their professionalism. And I stated before that it's not everyone in ACB. Just Cody. He was drunk. I was there. I smelled it. Their band admitted it to me.
I still have a great deal of respect for them as musicians. Their music has inspired me a great deal, but when they act unprofessional, that's when it becomes unacceptable. Their job is to play well.
dude im not trying to be a dick but.... professional kinda ruins music... there are lots of bands that get shitty before shows and still play fine. i dont know about you but wouldnt ever want playing music to become a job. and how do you know he didnt just take a shot or 2 to relax himslef? and plus i can can get hammered and play and sing just as well as i do when im sober.
so quick to judge, so quick to throw someone into the fire. we are all hypocrites. let them be. they are human, they make whatever decisions they want to. who are we to judge? where is the christian love and understanding? instead, we throw scripture at them and judge, judge, judge.
THEY weren't drunk, but the singer was. I talked to him before and after the set. Even his clothes smelled like beer, i don't even want to describe his breathe.
I wish everyone would realize for a professional musician, it doesn't take having every circumstance in your life perfect to do what you have been doing for so long....you can go through a rough time but that doesn't eliminate your ability to sing/play guitar. The only thing that can do that is just being lazy and not caring.
i was at the show in mobile the next day and they sounded ok but alot like this. i dont think they were drunk, but this really does sound bad. its like they didnt even care with the vocals. but whatever i still will always love them =)
What the heck you people need to stop asuming things. It was a pretty bad show but I mean its not like you can have an amazing one every night. Maybe he did not prepare himself for the show mental or spiritually.
This band is an honest band, which is why people are drawn to it.
This video i dont see a drunken man, i see a man that is struggling with himself, struggling with the band he put everything in to. Sad, and frustrated, and angry and confused.. i see real feeling in this video. So please Appreciate these guys, love on these guys, be there for these guys. Thats all as fans you can do, for they have given more then you'll ever know to you.
I was reading all the comments about this and I couldn't hear what it sounded like cause my computer at work doesn't have speakers. I thought it was going to be horrible. Now that i've seen and heard the video it's not nearly as bad as I expected. And what makes people think he was drunk??? So Cody didn't sing all the lyrics... Having a bad night? so maybe this was a dissapointing show at worst, but this in my opinion is getting ridiculous.
This is what you have to ask yourself in being a fan of "christian" music, are you worshipping God through it, or the musicians? All in all it's clear a mistake was mad, and that's between them and God. Its disappointing yes, however no one is perfect. Just pray for the dudes stop saying you've lost your role model or cast judgement on them, they are just humans, and us as humans aren't perfect.
Hey man everyone makes mistakes, and don't even say you didn't look at a girl lustfully today,or said a cuss word or two,It's all the same, they are as human as you. This is why you don't put people on a pedestal cause they will disappoint you.Don't say you have lost your role model or pass judgement on them just cause of a mistake. That's between them and God.
I don't think anyone is saying he is a bad christian or w/e...but i can say that this performance on his part was pretty terrible. Professionally, it was irresponsible and disrespectful.
I saw them in Jackson and it was easily the worst ACB show I've ever seen (it was the 7th time, btw) and it looks like it was a lot better than this show. He had a few questionable lyric changes at that show too but I don't remember exactly what they were. I don't know what's going on, but it really saddens me because it seems like Cody's in pain about something. I'm just going to pray for them because that's better than condemnation and more likely to help.
dude, i know. im great friends with all of them. and know my name has nothing to do with it. i made it like three years ago. anyways, its so sad to see them go. but i think everyone is not eye to eye with each other on just about everything. It is sad to see them break up. but Its for the best
To anyone who wasn't actually there...when you change lyrics to things like "god doesn't exist", repeating the line "am i drunk?!" over and over again, saying "you don't give a shit no more, now do you?" and stumbling, slurring speech completely off key, retarded solos and random stuff...i mean...you would have reason to believe it was something besides a "bad show." They were getting paid 2000 dollars to perform their material that night..the least they could have done is made a better attempt.
other times in the show. He didn't say any of that in this particular song. This was the first song, and it went downhill from there.
I like as cities burn. They are good musicians and good people. But in this particular instance, i think i'd rather just admit i was drunk than people actually believe that i was capable of performing at such a sub-par level.
Because the guy got drunk? I don't even know if he did or not, but either way, I think you ought to look for qualities other than "perfection" in your next role model.
im not upset he got drunk. im upset he was drunk during a concert. Its not like him. you know? and that it messed up his performance. i still love the dude, and the rest of the band did amazing.
"i will quickly say that anyone who states that we were drunk these two nights is mistaken. be cautious with the words you speak for they hold great weight."
"we're obviously having some incredibly serious and defining discussion within the band as of late.
i want you all to know that we're not trying to neglect you all by not commenting, we just want to make sure that we figure all of this out before we address these all too important issues.
we love you all, and appreciate your concern and prayers. you will hear from us soon.
yeah, thats true. I guess i believe them. I dont think they would lie, but I still dont uncerstand why cody would act that way. i just hope everything turns out to be alright.
This has to be the most contoversial thing ive ever seen happen to acb. Their myspace and videos are getting crashed we questions and support. Im with these guys to the end.
im simply saying that obviously there is something going on between the band or in their personal lives. And i think this video shows that in a real way. Those emotions that are bound up can easily come out when performing live and i just feel it in this video. Its just honest to me..
Dude, lame city on your part. Whether or not they were drunk, there's no need in titling this video "As Cities Burn Drunk", let alone posting it in the first place. It gives good dudes a bad name.
The only thing bad about this is the video quality. Nice camera asshole.

actually i think thats a sarcastic line in the song about people's really high standards toward others. but he definitely is a christian, but i guess he just screwed up this time. i dont hold it against them, i just hope they dont do it again
ShadowShelter 3 years ago
I'm assuming he was using sarcasm to say that no one can really be perfect. People get drunk and still try to advance the kingdom.
hbling36 3 years ago
hahha, I would be so disappointed if they played like that when I saw them
claytonvon 3 years ago
It sounds like he still played the music very well if he was "drunk".
iliedaboutmyage 3 years ago
Wow. Sooooo... is anyone excited for the new record?
themayflowa 3 years ago
I am still. I'm going to buy it.
They're still great musicians.
fr4nk13 3 years ago
i don't think he was drunk. All I have to say is that they're human and you don't know they're going threw. For you to expect them to go on stage on put on a great performance if there is pain or whatever in their lives is complete bull. i don't know whats going on with them but like their myspace said, your words carry weight.
Cshowbread 3 years ago
you don't think he was drunk?
doesn't disregard the fact that he was...
Shrimpandrice 3 years ago
i know he wasnt drunk. they played here (mississippi) two nights before and they sounded the exact same, and i was front row and didnt smell any alcohol. they played the exact same way as they are in this video. it is their live show now, they get really really into it.
volcomsk8er814 3 years ago
They actually were drunk in Mississippi. I talked to Michael Silver about it, who was there as well.
fr4nk13 3 years ago
well i was on the very front row right in front of cody and i definitely didnt smell a scent of alcohol.
volcomsk8er814 3 years ago
You have gotten a cold.
Shrimpandrice 3 years ago
There's so much win with that statement.
fr4nk13 3 years ago
There is no way this band takes their job lightly. NO WAY!!
ceilinginmotion 3 years ago
This is their job and they shouldnt take it so light.
vGoRnaKi 3 years ago
Everyone just needs to calm down about this situation because one if you were at the show and could tell he was drunk than thats one thing but the fact that the sound quality isn't good enough to tell really if he is or if it was just a bad show of his voice giving in. From what i hear, it wasn't a great show, but they have always perform well the 10 or more times i have seen them.
michaelyrcrazy 3 years ago
also take in consideration the only person acting excentric is cody.Robert,Colin, and Chris played relitively normal.Chris told me the rewrote the songs a little and was experimenting in just Jamming Old School he said. And it wasnt like it was uneasy either Cody was having fun and loving everythingAnd I respect thatSo if all your saying is it effected their performance then maybe this you can see it from an artistic view like me and let it be known it was an intamite outside the box performance
RaptureIndeed 3 years ago
Please think long and hard before you decide to watch this video, or post a comment. Nobody wants to say anything they will regret. Personally I don't think i'm going to watch it. Just please, even if you think your comment is "right" watch what you say.
deathbyxanga 3 years ago
Ok I know Cody and he told me personally that he wasn't intoxicated...So SHUT UP YOU LITTLE KIDS!!!
dill1889 3 years ago
lol he was lying to you
Shrimpandrice 3 years ago
no. just no.
they would not do that.
unless i see cody come to me and tell me hes drunk will i believe it.
if you havent ever read their lyrics, it would be a hugely crappy move to to do something like that.
God does not wink at sin. Cody would know that.
OhTheJason 3 years ago
so if Cody was drunk and he lied to you and said "I'm not drunk" you would believe him then?
ShadowShelter 3 years ago
did they really tell you that Cody was drunk?
ShadowShelter 3 years ago
Pretty sure they're all of age to have a drink or two. Also, I'm also pretty sure that they are human beings, just like you & I. In regardless, them drinking or even showing up to a show a little/very intoxicated and playing a show isn't the best decision for them.
It happens!
Oh, and let's be real now, this really wouldn't be a big deal if they weren't a Christian band.
watchsasha 3 years ago
Hah.
Drunk or not this band is still amazing.
gabe956 3 years ago
i'm glad they got drunk. now christians can take over the drinking world and fuck with everyone's drinking highs.
but for cereal... who cares if they did get drunk? lets face it, if everyone in the crowd was drunk too they'd enjoy it and there would be no more angry little 12 year olds on youtube or acb's myspace page
nacnuddude 3 years ago
I don't care if they drink. It doesn't bother me at all what they choose to do with their lives. What bothers me is that their drinking interfered with their performance. That's ALL I'm trying to say here
fr4nk13 3 years ago
i understand what your saying man. and i some what agree.
but what is your point in putting up this video?
ontheheights 3 years ago
Because I want people to understand what being impaired and performing looks like.
fr4nk13 3 years ago
if one bad performance ruins your opinion of a band you shouldn't listen to good music with the rest of us but to little kids music so when your little feelings are hurt when big people are doing their big people things you can rest assured that your little music friends are as clean as michael jacksons left hand
nacnuddude 3 years ago
You sir, are an idiot.
I'm not upset about a bad performance. I'm upset that they weren't being professional. They're job is to perform. Would you show up to your job drunk? What about if your job was talking about God?
fr4nk13 3 years ago
I partially agree, but this isn't really their job. Heh. Unfortunately.
soloisnate 3 years ago
hell yeah! playing and drinking have always mixed well together.... its fun, these fucks just dont understand because they have never done it

take this off dude
you are as big of a disgrace as the message you are putting out there....

this is sad. as in the way you posted the video and in some of the comments.
take it down.
ontheheights 3 years ago
I agree with the people below me. Take this off.
Playitloud253 3 years ago
they're all legally able to get drunk.
so fuck off :)
myspaceisbetter 3 years ago
That doesn't mean that it's professional.
So go learn something about entertainment:)
fr4nk13 3 years ago
entertainment? if you want entertainment go watch britney spears dance like a hooker buddy. music like this isn't entertainment. as cities burn aren't entertainers. they are musicians. go learn something about music.
bennintexas 3 years ago
They are "musicians" that are getting paid to perform. so they should just wait until after they play to drink. I have no problem with people who drink, or drinking, its just retarded. I'm sure they aren't proud of the performance, but i mean...it is kind of their fault for allowing their singer to drink. The rest of them were sober.
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
why are you acting tough towards everyone. obviously this video is going to offend people, man. you shouldn't act like a jerk to someone who is kind enough to watch your stinkin' videos. and as cities may of been drunk while they played, but that's no reason to place judgement upon them. it's none of your fucking business what they like to do with their bodies. like i said before, they did nothing illegal, and you're bashing them for it.
myspaceisbetter 3 years ago
They did violate a contract. haha.
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
I'm not trying to act tough towards anyone. This is an internet discussion, nothing more. I'm not placing judgment on their character, just on their professionalism. And I stated before that it's not everyone in ACB. Just Cody. He was drunk. I was there. I smelled it. Their band admitted it to me.
I still have a great deal of respect for them as musicians. Their music has inspired me a great deal, but when they act unprofessional, that's when it becomes unacceptable. Their job is to play well.
fr4nk13 3 years ago
dude im not trying to be a dick but.... professional kinda ruins music... there are lots of bands that get shitty before shows and still play fine. i dont know about you but wouldnt ever want playing music to become a job. and how do you know he didnt just take a shot or 2 to relax himslef? and plus i can can get hammered and play and sing just as well as i do when im sober.
thebledcore 2 years ago
they're not playing badly, fuck ass.
tothewaywardwife 3 years ago
yes they are
fr4nk13 3 years ago
so quick to judge, so quick to throw someone into the fire. we are all hypocrites. let them be. they are human, they make whatever decisions they want to. who are we to judge? where is the christian love and understanding? instead, we throw scripture at them and judge, judge, judge.
bennintexas 3 years ago 2
i love, and will always love as cities burn.
SilenceTellstheStory and fr4nk13 should both be hit by the biggest trains this world has to offer.
there's my position. lol
logan8690 3 years ago
You're like 12 and a half. Don't talk right now.. The adults are having a discussion.
fr4nk13 3 years ago
And they weren't drunk. :/
9Xlives 3 years ago
THEY weren't drunk, but the singer was. I talked to him before and after the set. Even his clothes smelled like beer, i don't even want to describe his breathe.
I wish everyone would realize for a professional musician, it doesn't take having every circumstance in your life perfect to do what you have been doing for so long....you can go through a rough time but that doesn't eliminate your ability to sing/play guitar. The only thing that can do that is just being lazy and not caring.
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
They still play fucking amazing music. Loads of bands go through a rough bit once in awhile.
9Xlives 3 years ago
i was at the show in mobile the next day and they sounded ok but alot like this. i dont think they were drunk, but this really does sound bad. its like they didnt even care with the vocals. but whatever i still will always love them =)
dustmann128 3 years ago
What the heck you people need to stop asuming things. It was a pretty bad show but I mean its not like you can have an amazing one every night. Maybe he did not prepare himself for the show mental or spiritually.
Andrewandcaleb 3 years ago
i saw them the 20th.
in jackson.
they did amazing.
OnlyEatAWKWARDwords 3 years ago
This band is an honest band, which is why people are drawn to it.
This video i dont see a drunken man, i see a man that is struggling with himself, struggling with the band he put everything in to. Sad, and frustrated, and angry and confused.. i see real feeling in this video. So please Appreciate these guys, love on these guys, be there for these guys. Thats all as fans you can do, for they have given more then you'll ever know to you.

they are playing shows in dallas in January... spoke with the promoter sunday.
loveatourthroats 3 years ago
I was reading all the comments about this and I couldn't hear what it sounded like cause my computer at work doesn't have speakers. I thought it was going to be horrible. Now that i've seen and heard the video it's not nearly as bad as I expected. And what makes people think he was drunk??? So Cody didn't sing all the lyrics... Having a bad night? so maybe this was a dissapointing show at worst, but this in my opinion is getting ridiculous.
deadjean 3 years ago
boy, THAT was conclusive evidence.
*sarcasm*
get a hobby, people.

GarrettNorth 3 years ago 2
Hey man everyone makes mistakes, and don't even say you didn't look at a girl lustfully today,or said a cuss word or two,It's all the same, they are as human as you. This is why you don't put people on a pedestal cause they will disappoint you.Don't say you have lost your role model or pass judgement on them just cause of a mistake. That's between them and God.
GarrettNorth 3 years ago 2
I don't think anyone is saying he is a bad christian or w/e...but i can say that this performance on his part was pretty terrible. Professionally, it was irresponsible and disrespectful.
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
I saw them in Jackson and it was easily the worst ACB show I've ever seen (it was the 7th time, btw) and it looks like it was a lot better than this show. He had a few questionable lyric changes at that show too but I don't remember exactly what they were. I don't know what's going on, but it really saddens me because it seems like Cody's in pain about something. I'm just going to pray for them because that's better than condemnation and more likely to help.
AWTRAndrew 3 years ago
I think your totally right, Cody seems totally distressed about something, I hope they work everything out.
bobi768 3 years ago
dude, i know. im great friends with all of them. and know my name has nothing to do with it. i made it like three years ago. anyways, its so sad to see them go. but i think everyone is not eye to eye with each other on just about everything. It is sad to see them break up. but Its for the best
ascitiesburn672 3 years ago
To anyone who wasn't actually there...when you change lyrics to things like "god doesn't exist", repeating the line "am i drunk?!" over and over again, saying "you don't give a shit no more, now do you?" and stumbling, slurring speech completely off key, retarded solos and random stuff...i mean...you would have reason to believe it was something besides a "bad show." They were getting paid 2000 dollars to perform their material that night..the least they could have done is made a better attempt.
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
alright, cody def did not say any of that stuff u said he did...
cjyoder 3 years ago
were you there?
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
oh, did u mean he did it in the video, or did it other times at the concert?
cjyoder 3 years ago
other times in the show. He didn't say any of that in this particular song. This was the first song, and it went downhill from there.
I like as cities burn. They are good musicians and good people. But in this particular instance, i think i'd rather just admit i was drunk than people actually believe that i was capable of performing at such a sub-par level.
SilenceTellstheStory 3 years ago
i resent any judgement i may have passed on them. I support them 100%. Im just confused as is everyone.
jonforemanrules 3 years ago
cody disappointed me. :,(
there goes my role model.
jonforemanrules 3 years ago
Because the guy got drunk? I don't even know if he did or not, but either way, I think you ought to look for qualities other than "perfection" in your next role model.
Playitloud253 3 years ago
im not upset he got drunk. im upset he was drunk during a concert. Its not like him. you know? and that it messed up his performance. i still love the dude, and the rest of the band did amazing.
jonforemanrules 3 years ago
Colin posted this on their myspace 11/24/08
"i will quickly say that anyone who states that we were drunk these two nights is mistaken. be cautious with the words you speak for they hold great weight."
johnielsen08 3 years ago
The rest of the myspace post says
"we're obviously having some incredibly serious and defining discussion within the band as of late.
i want you all to know that we're not trying to neglect you all by not commenting, we just want to make sure that we figure all of this out before we address these all too important issues.
we love you all, and appreciate your concern and prayers. you will hear from us soon.
-colin"
johnielsen08 3 years ago
yeah, thats true. I guess i believe them. I dont think they would lie, but I still dont uncerstand why cody would act that way. i just hope everything turns out to be alright.
This has to be the most contoversial thing ive ever seen happen to acb. Their myspace and videos are getting crashed we questions and support. Im with these guys to the end.
jonforemanrules 3 years ago
that has to do with something different
cody has a full time job in a studio
collin has a son now
aaron is in one school
while chris is going to another school
overall none of them are even near eachother anymore
basically its not about this
its over whether they will EVER be a full time touring band again..

This was actually their last show ever.

how do you know this frank?
ezze 3 years ago
yeah cause your in the band and youd know that right?
andYourblooblood 3 years ago
dont think i said that?
im simply saying that obviously there is something going on between the band or in their personal lives. And i think this video shows that in a real way. Those emotions that are bound up can easily come out when performing live and i just feel it in this video. Its just honest to me..
Holding0ntoHope 3 years ago
well. it was supposed to be. but i heard from Chris that they are playing like 3 more. some hometown shows probably. who knows
ascitiesburn672 3 years ago
Dude, lame city on your part. Whether or not they were drunk, there's no need in titling this video "As Cities Burn Drunk", let alone posting it in the first place. It gives good dudes a bad name.
