Went to this exhibition in 1989 (by that time they had more from season 25), it was disappointingly small but they had a great shop.

I think personally the worst era has been the new David Tennant era. The new Doctor Who series has made Doctor Who more pantomime than it ever has been. As the new series years have gone on the series has gone worser and worser and so worse that we end up with a pantomime, disapointing and camp (Unicorn And The Wasp with two gay blokes holding hands)Series 4, it's after that I realise how much I miss JNT and his old fashioned view.

@heyarnoldsknee People are allowed to have different tastes. There is no such thing as a "fake" or "real" fan. Taste is completely subjective. It's also incredibly rude & ignorant to call someone a homophobe just because they don't like the new direction of the show. You do know that the very first director Waris Hussein is gay, right?

Don't be so defensive. RTD made the same mistake and came off as an egotistical and insulting jerk in interviews which made people dislike him even more.
