A little time ago, there was a black and white in-studio/radio show version of this great song on youtube. Johnny sat on a chair beside the Carters. Two other musicians (one with a unique stringed instrument) graced the video as did the radio announcer. The interaction between Johnny, the Carter family, the musicians, the announcer and God was unbelievably beautiful! Please, if anyone knows where that video went, tell us all. That was the best one ever, this one being very good, too!

It's me again. Last night on Good Friday (Apr. 10), we sang this as our Hymn of the Day. It is #353 in Evangelical Lutheran Worship. Our pastor based her sermon on this hymn. She said where would we have been if we had been there. From what I took from it, it seems that not much has changed since that day. The world is just as corrupt now as it was then. Too bad the church tries to sugar-coat things.
