  • Yes! I'll believe in Frisbeeology. When I die, my soul will get stuck on the roof and a divine windstorm will lift it to heaven. Or not.

  • i understand now

  • I saw several replies to my post. The BoM is being proven by various types of evidence from DNA to ancient artifacts. The original church under Catholic rule became corrupt and needed heavenly intervention to establish the true church of Christ on Earth. This, of course, has happened, and the authority to act under Christ's name was restored. Many want to deny this, but by and by they will find out the truth.

  • so.... he admits he's wrong

  • I think Victor in the top comments summed up my doubts; it was taken out of context. HA HA! Glenn Beck proved that Jews existed in ancient America. Somebody taped his show and put it on youtube. People are such maroons! I thank God everyday for men like Glenn Beck; I wish he was running for president instead of Mitt. Yeah baby...you guys might have a Mormon president of the United States. Give me an AMEN!

  • @BUZZ4134 using clever Rhetoric and pictures of Hieroglyphs has nothing to do with proof. He has proven nothing. I think it's sad that you actually think Beck is wise. Archaeologists have disputed the small faction of mormon Archaeologists for centuries with good reason. There's no proof that anything in the BoM is in any way accurate or correct. Plus, you know he was fired because even FOX believed Beck was bat shit crazy, right?

  • @rufuguru: No, no one "knows" this. You find it easier to believe this b/c it comforts your other shallow unreflective prejudices. Beck was one of their biggest ratings magnets ever. He had other avenues he wished to explore. I loved hearing him saying truths on T.V. that never get spoken there. He is certainly more credible then Dan (memos) Rather. Most of what Beck presented I had known for years by my own efforts. But he got up to speed super fast.

  • @VictorLepanto They publicly stated they fired him because of inaccurate and misleading commentary on several of his shows. Beck is a hypocrite, you should know that. Originally, he thought drug addicts should be put to death without question, including alcoholics. Beck then wanted "prayers" from everyone. I'm not being biased, I don't hate Mormons, I hate Beck, and for no other reason than he's one of the biggest political pudits who actually claims he's spreading fact.

  • @VictorLepanto Beck had minuscule support from the public anyway. Less than John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. What's sad, is there's people like you who agree with right-wing reactionaries like Beck.

  • @rufuguru: Stewart is probably watched by fewer people then FNC. Only pimply teenage boys & pot heads look to him to understand the world. That you'd mention him shows me all I need to know about you. Stewart is a comedian. I know it is easier to mindlessly parrot empty epithets like "reactionary" then to think about what he is saying. Can you even define a term like reactionary, I mean beyond a child's notion of a nasty no-goodnick? I doubt it. Stewart never told you how to.

  • @VictorLepanto Reactionary is an extreme political conservative that believes that no action should be taken preemptively and that extreme measures must be taken to "react" to problems. Stewart had more than double Beck's viewers THE ENTIRE TIME. That's a fact. It's sad that you have to resort to trying to pick apart my character and it's laughable that you even feel that you're still arguing. You never disagreed with me, Beck is a Pundit, plain and simple.

  • @rufuguru: What perfect illustration of why we need education vouchers in this country. You are the perfect product of our modern public school system. Your mind is incapable of actual thought. Like Dr. Pavlov's dog, you just mindlessly parrot the epithets of abuse you were tought. Though, no doubt you followed that system to a Ph.D somewhere. An assertion is not a fact, it is not an argument, it is not PROOF. I simply asserted the opposite. As yours is the postive claim, you must PROVE it!

  • @VictorLepanto I mustn't prove any common knowledge. Everything I listed can be found in books, magazines, the internet, television, you name it. It's also funny that you call me a parrot, but you just regurgitate what I've seen on conspiracy theory forums on any given day. It's just funny at this point. I'm not sure what exactly you want me to prove, all I was pointing out is you STILL to this point, fail to disagree with me. All you're doing is circling round and round.

  • @rufuguru: All you need to do to prove FNC fired him is produce the statement where they say they fired him. If they fired him for falsehoods in his broadcasts, just site the examples they gave. innumerate his falsehoods, maybe site when he made them. There should be videos of him making these falsehoods, can you point me to them? No, you are a typical smug leftist, stewing your brain in a porridge of vague groundless bigotry.

  • @VictorLepanto If you want a straight answer to that, then I suppose they didn't "directly" fire him. His contract expired, but it's pretty traditional that if a network likes a talkshow host that they renew his contract. His ratings were at an all-time low, Beck became the wash-up everyone knew he would. It's quite ironic, a right-winger calling a left-winger a bigot. You can look up all of his false and misleading statements.

  • @rufuguru: By your "logic" Oprah was also fired. They will renew a contract, if the person is interested in renewing, if he doesn't think he might have a better venue elsewhere. Obviously Beck thought he had better fields to plow. He was probably right, T.V. is dead. He is better off on the internet.

Just site 5 specific falsehoods he perpetrated. Typical of the atrophied brain of the leftist "mind," by falsehood you mean he had the temerity to contradict your PC groupthink.

  • @VictorLepanto Now YOU'RE making the assumption. Oprah is a BILLIONAIRE, with a B. Beck is far from it. If he was offered a renewal, he would've been the biggest idiot in the world to pass it up.

  • @VictorLepanto Glenn Beck: Says Michelle Obama has 43 people on her staff; Nancy Reagan had just 3, The Muslim Brotherhood has "openly stated they want to declare war on Israel.", "This town (Wilmington, Ohio) hasn’t taken any money from the government. They don’t want any money from the government.""The government is trying to now close the Lincoln Memorial for any kind of large gatherings.", "In the health care bill, we're now offering insurance for dogs." There's 5, happy yet?

  • @rufuguru: How many people ARE on here staff, how many WERE on Nancy's? & more importantly, WHO CARES? Do you even know who the Moslem Brotherhood are? Do you doubt they want to destroy Israel? Are you really THAT ignorant? I would take Beck's remarks to contrast Wilmington w/ the Obamanation's beloved Solyndra & GM. If some action were taken to restrict gatherings @ the Lincoln Memorial, that would only be one example of the Obamanation's attacks on free speech, dissent. Typical, as I expected.

  • @VictorLepanto I can post more too

  • @rufuguru: I have no doubt you many such examples to "prove" your views. I can see where Orwell got his idea of Duckspeak & Groupthink in 1984. You are a typical example of the mental eminations which pass as thought w/ leftists.

  • @VictorLepanto Wow, you're just idiotic. You don't even have anything to argue, you just like giving me more and more statements to disprove

  • @rufuguru: You have to actually say something factual for there to be an argument. Let us just discuss your nonsense about staffs. How many people are on the America hating Michelle's staff? How many were on Nancy's? Do you know, do you care? Do you have any idea of the trillions of dollars this swine has wasted? He is selling us into slavery to China. So long as you keep stewing your brain in the leftwing delusion you don't care. Your grandchildren will live in poverty, not you.

  • @VictorLepanto I'll admit, not every single thing he said was false, but the majority of it was. Look it up on Beck's file on Politifact if you don't believe me. I can't paste a link as I said, but the website is a Pulitzer prize winning politics fact checker.

  • @VictorLepanto Beck is admittedly a reactionary and reads reaction literature like "The 1000 year leap" for example. Written by propaganda author Cleon Skousen, who ran the Salt Lake City police, according to the Mayor "Like a Nazi Gestapo" And was fired for all of his misconduct. Beck was fired, you didn't refute that. Beck is a reactionary, you didn't refute that. Beck is a Pundit, you didn't refute that. I can see that you agree that he's an idiot, otherwise you wouldn't agree.

  • @BUZZ4134 I can't wait till he's the nominee. Most people don't know about all the things that the book of Mormon teaches. The media is going to put Mormonism under the microscope for all to see what the religion really is. You will regret what you are asking for.

  • @BUZZ4134: While I find it impossible to credit that LDS notion that Jews came to America 2,oooyrs ago & became White Indians who in turn were exterminated by dark skinned Indians, I understand why Beck finds it easy to accept this idea. Beck has been quite open about his alcoholism. The LDS helped him in a time of need. His gratitude for this makes it easier to swollow this other idea. If you did more for those in such need, they'd listen more to you. Beck's ability to learn is impressive.

  • LOL

  • This guy takes a lot of twists and turns. THINK about that before you befriend him.

  • I thought Glenn Beck was off the drugs and alcohol??? I must have heard wrong.

  • Some people believe in killing brown people, guess if you think they represent Cain and are the offspring of satan, hey just believe...aint that right Glenn, how much you want to bet Glenn endorses Mitt Romney his fellow Mormon brother,

  • This man should be provided with mood stabilizing medications. I would be surprised if he has not been diagnosed with bipolar illness. He is obviously not on meds!

  • According to a prominent, Mormon, FAIRblog contributor man can, indeed, intelligently, honestly and reasonably conclude from the evidence that “manifestations by the Holy Ghost” and other varieties of religious experience are not really of divine origin; that God is not as Mormons & Christianity believe him to be; and the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the Book of Abraham are not of divine origin or literal history. And, of course, he's correct and they'd be correct

  • "even if it's wrong, believe in it?"

Hmmm. Repeat the lie often enough and people will start believing it. Soooo, Beck is paraphrasing Goebells?

  • Good to see we are not taking things out of context.

  • lol glen beck is crazy lol lol

  • This has nothing to do with Mormonism...

  • I'm a believer but still more of an independent. How can anyone with any intelligence take this guy seriously,

  • Want something to believe in? Believe in yourself.

  • To believe in something is generally better than to believe in nothing. O.k.

But I am surprised at people who are convinced that their belief - by default - is 100% true and therefore the beliefs of other people have to be 100% false. That's infantile thinking.

  • Religion is wrong in general, you see how many people are following glenn's advice already?

He should have added:"Believe in something, even if it's on no evidence at all, give up all your critical faculties and believe in it!"

  • RODEO CLOWN

  • @timwhite2005 At your house.

  • How can I believe something wrong? His statement is false and what it tells me is I should beware of him.

  • Glenn Beck confesses his problem.

  • This is slanderous abuse of what he said. I believe he is simply denouncing the attitude of nihilistic indifference to the truth. He is telling people to seek the truth, take a chance on some principle & stand for it. It is proves false then rethink & try again. Whatever the failures of Mormon teaching, the insane denunciations of all things Mormon by some people is really quite bigoted.

  • @keybobrob: There is a TRUTH which defines the universe. It is vast, profound, & has challenged all our greatest minds. We must live by some principle. That principle should be the truth. We can only study & think & make our best effort. Most of us will be wrong in some significant way in that pursuit. We will (mostly) be better for our efforts. Bech has made many extraordinary efforts to find the truth. God bless him.

  • @VictorLepanto i find nothing "extraordinary" in becks efforts...in fact based on my walk of life...i find him quite the cliche...but that's only my perspective,,,and i respect your opinion.

  • @keybobrob: "Cliche?" I think you have an extraordinary definition of the term. How is somebody who spent about a year every night presenting things that had never before been heard or seen on T.V.? He gave us an hour a night of information that the world of PC left wing CLICHES would allow the nation to see. Just go look at the program he did on the history of Progressivism & communism. He had quotes from Marx himself advocating genocide. He did special on Bonhoeffer. That isn't cliche.

  • @VictorLepanto I pray for God to Bless you and Mr. Beck.

  • @VictorLepanto No he is not telling people to "seek the truth". That's what philosophers and scientists do...seek truth. The religious community (Mormons in this case) ignore the truth. Truth is a fact brought upon by the scientific method of experimentation. Religion is the opium of the people.

  • @mjfraser04: Such silly talk as yours has lead to the GULAG. The Soviets thought they were being 'scientific" also. Science can only tell basic truths about how the material universe works, it can't tell you any profound essential truths. It can tell you what chemicals kill a human body & what it takes to burn that body. It can't tell you not to lock that living body in a room w/ those chemicals & then burn the body after. Science can't tell you why Auschwitz is wrong.

  • @VictorLepanto i belive in the church of landreau! landreau knows all! we have a festival every year to spread the word ,star trek the archons lolololol omg i lmfao. beam me uo scottie .

  • @spartanclams: Doesn't your mom have some pizza bagels for you & your friends.

  • I never thought I agreed with forcing people to take medication but Beck and his audience need help.

  • Lol that is mormonism in a nut shell

  • Why is it that when people disagree with something they always demand that it be shut down? We're all fascist dictators now, aren't we? Say what you want about Beck, and I do, but he's never called to shut anyone up.

  • Mormonism is what happens when you take regular old christianity and magnify the bullshit by a thousand.

  • this is why religion is to blame ultimately for all of the world problems

  • @skinnyman1423 That's kind of an oversimplification, don't you think? You honestly think that if we got rid of religion, there wouldn't still be greed, war, and stuff like that? I mean, it'd be nice if that was such an easy fix, but I don't really buy it.

  • @jwdeming yeah it's an oversimplification, and I don't think that it would solve human nature, but we probably wouldn't be dealing with all of the diseases if religion wasn't there to retard the advances in modern science.

  • all you ppl do is make fun of him what wrong with beliveing in somthing, the wrong he is talking about is perspective, this isnt rocket science.

  • Glenn Beck Believes in something and it's more than wrong: It Mormon. and everything is wrong

  • say what you will about the tenets of national socialism dude, but at least, AT LEAST it's an ethos!

  • That sums up the delusional right wing kooks of the tea party - they lower taxes, deregulation failed and the economy crashed - but they keep believing in the wrong thing! Just because!! LOL!!!

  • Iam sorry Glenn, but I will never listen to you again until you find the Jesus of the Bible not the one in the Book of Mormon! And the God you worship is not the one of the Bible...he is one of your many Gods that walked the earth....WOW how arrogant you are and you organization the LDS cult.

  • And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.... Luke 21:8

  • Wow what a nut

  • Hes right people dont even apply thier lives to much of anything now a days. They rather just center thier lives about whats going on with Lindesy Lohan. You dipshits leaving comments calling names need to put some thought into what you say.

  • believe in something, even if it's wrong? Sorry, my chubby crying alcoholic buddy. I just have to believe in what i see, and have faith that there is a god. Or maybe there is not a God. But I do believe, because everything in nature has a balance, for every negative, there has been light. OMG, I could get a TV show, too!

  • Glenn Becks life in a nutshell

  • A pretty skillful twisting of a man's words simply by only showing a few words.

  • totally nuts

  • Well that explains a lot....go away, psycho.

  • maybe freedom dosen't mean that much to you then not to be close to getting angry and throwing a fit that people are so numb to what is going on not to give a shit the way he does.

  • Who ever put this together is obviously a hater!!! And took this out of context. And for those who think he's a "nut job" Let me ask you something. What's the difference between being nutty and being passionate. I would think it would be what he's saying. He's not saying that the president and the progressive, liberal majority of a congress is trying to control the country just because. He's showing proof and being passionate about the coruption in our government.

  • Dubbed....duh?

  • hmmm.... 2 words come to mind: NUT JOB!

  • I hope he doesn't mean to believe in the psychotic cult of death that is ISLAM! He should have worded his speech more carefully.

  • Please choose your words more carefully. The vast majority of Muslims are good, faithful, and friendly people. That in recent years an extreme band of radical Muslims has taken to using violence as a means of garnering attention says nothing about Islam as a whole.

  • you don't know what you are talking about. Islam is blown out of proportion and used to achieve evil and wrong intentions. If you call islam a cult or muslims, than why not be fair and call liberalism a evil cult, I wouldn't say psychotic but evil. How about partisan politics. That's easier to know about. Islam is complex, obviously you don't know anything about that.

  • Fox News, even if it is wrong, believe in it. I lived in Utah - even if it is wrong, believe in it. What a great moral compass.
